Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care – Ridgewood

The fact that North Shore Long Island Urgent Care is in Ridgewood proves there’s a god and she loves us all. DocCare was the only urgent care facility until NSLI came to be on Madison & Myrtle and we can finally go to a place that is modern, clean, and am able to deal with competent and caring employees.
I called ahead of time and the gentleman who answered was able to assure me there would be no problem accepting my insurance and getting seen by a doctor. I walked in, Cindy checked me in, very friendly with me and the folks that were waiting there when I arrived. The space was clean and sunny, love the location and design. (Go to DocCare on Fresh Pond — either location — and just experience for yourself the differences from being greeted, the waiting rooms, the customer «care», the doctors’ treatment… just see for yourself).
Cindy checked me in quickly, then led me to an examination room, took my stats, chatted with me. Waited a couple of short minutes for Dr. Kevin Leshinsky. He was professional, friendly, patient, answered questions, asked if I had any questions. He prescribed two meds for me. The prescriptions were ready by the time I made it to my pharmacy for pick up less than ten minutes later.
I received information about my ailment directly from the doctor, he gave me a referral number for a specialist as well as a # for NSLI, where I can call and the person on the other line actually helps me find a specialist in my network. WOW, after dealing with people who don’t want to help, this seems so unreal.
Even after all that awesomeness, I got a follow-​up phone call from NSLIUC asking how everything was going and if they could help me in any way.
THANK YOU North Shore Long Island Urgent Care for being in Ridgewood and having Cindy and Dr. Kevin on staff. They were so helpful and professional, I will gladly give the highest recommendation and continue to go to you when needed (hopefully not for a long time).

I went here for urgent care at my lunch break and diagnosed with a upper respiratory viral infection. The staff was kind, understanding and informative. Total time did not exceed 30 mins. in and out.
My complaint was that I was seen by a physician’s assistant who did not give me antibiotics.
My husband went two days later with the same symptoms and was given antibiotics.
I think a medical doctor/​physician should be attending.
Overall it is a quick fix and nice experience. A lot of state of the art medical equipment.

Just moved into the area and needed to see a doctor. The facility is nice and they were quick and very helpful. I’ll be back if need be!
