Small place, the sandwiches were just okay, we tried both chicken sandwiches and nothing special at all. We also ordered a beet salad with goat cheese, but it was more like a mixed green salad, there were 5 thin slices of beets and one small piece of goat cheese… We also ordered cappuccinos and they were really bad, very watery. The service was kind of sloppy as well, there were no other people in the restaurant but there were a couple of phone calls and we had to wait for our food and change of plates more time than we should have. At some point I was getting the plates myself.

Amazing brunch place, we have been here on a Sunday and it wasn’t that packed, we didn’t have to wait on a table, but to be fair it was Super Bowl Sunday. I had a burger which was hands down best I ever had, espresso bbq sauce was delicious, also me and my wife shared a brioche French toast which tasted extremely close to our favorite one in Queen NY Café Triskell, which is the best compliment I can give to a French Toast. We are definitely coming back, it’s a must for all you brunch enthusiasts to check this place out. It’s very affordable and food is amazing.

Was wondering why the chicken was so amazing & found out it’s because it’s HALAL! All halal meat are 100% pure! Yay!

I liked this place a lot, it’s a small quaint place across from the whole foods in ridgewood. The menu is very creative and displayed blackboard style on the wall. As the name would imply, you’re more than likely going to eat chicken here. I got the BBQ chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese and it was all very good. The chicken is very fresh and tasty, I also liked the cups that the water was served in, a nice touch. It’s a little expensive but it meets the standard for ridgewood when it comes to pricing. Definitely check it out if you want to try something new, or if you like chicken.

This place is chicken lover heaven. I came here on a weekend afternoon and we were seated quickly. The actual place is decorated well with a contemporary farm style which fits the vibe. We had the French onion soup, chicken sandwich with peanut sauce and a chicken pot pie. For sides we had the potato au gratin. Everything here is very fresh and delicious. However The potato au gratin is out of this world so good. My husband and I ordered it to share but half way through I decided I wasn’t up for Sharing anymore of how good it was. When I am in the area I will definitely be back.

Great local spot with a French bistro feel. Perfect for a hearty lunch or an afternoon coffee and snack.

Amazing experience. Lots of healthy choices and lots of gluten free options. While the food is amazing, it should be noted that the staff is exceptional. There were 4 adults and 4 children under 5 in our party. The staff was patient accommodating and very friendly. This is definitely a kid friendly place and that’s hard to find these days… Great experience overall we will be back soon!

Delicious! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Ridgewood. I ordered the Le Burger and it was great! Only complaint would be that the food did take a while to make but it was definitely worth it and tasted very fresh!

Amazing rotisserie chicken! I really liked this place. This place has a hipster café feel but has amazing food. The chicken is as good as it gets at a very reasonable price. I will definitely return.

I tried the vegetable soup it was homemade and fresh. I had the half chicken with Mac and cheese. The chicken was moist and juicy and not as stressed and messed up like other chicken. They get it locally sourced. It was amazing the chicken. My mouth was dripping. I had to have the Shepard’s pie too. Homemade and so good. I was so full. My stomach was gonna burst. But everything is fresh and so good. I wanna move in and just work for food.

I just went to LBC for dinner tonight with my husband and his parents to celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday. We were seated at 5:30 on a Sunday pretty quickly, which was a relief, because we had not made a reservation. I wish the wait staff spoke a little more about the concept of this place. I mean, I guess it’s pretty obvious, but at the same time, I like a little guidance or a recommendation or something that makes me feel less stupid for feeling a little in the dark about a Rotisserie Chicken concept. Otherwise, this place could easily function as a Counter Service joint. I agree with Luke T. that only the name is French and the sauces were nothing to wax poetic about. We had an average caesar salad, an average Soup de Provence, a tasty Mac & Cheese side, but it was more Kraft cheesey than Mom’s Mac & Cheese delicious. I ordered The Lyon which was on great bread, with a tasty olive tapenade, but the roasted pepper white bean spread and general lack of seasoning of my sandwich and the other dishes left something to be desired. My father-in-law got the French Onion soup which was bangin’(it usually is, no matter where you go) but the Shepherds Pie special he ordered I found to be bland — comforting, but bland. My husband won the day by ordering the Cote du Rhone sandwich plus $ 3 for the crispy chicken and a perfectly cooked running egg. For dessert, a cold chocolate chip cookie for my father-in-law and a cold chocolate bread pudding, for my husband, both with vanilla ice cream. The staff was friendly, but didn’t do much that I couldn’t or wouldn’t do myself — pour a water, clear my plate, get myself silverware. The ambiance was warm, but didn’t match the concept. I would definitely try this place again, I think because I am curious and also I think we should have tried the rotisserie chicken.

Absolutely delicious! I frequent this nice café in Ridgewood every week. For brunch, I recommend the Croque Madam, it’s mouthwatering and fulfilling(and it has chicken, the place’s specialty). I usually opt for hash browns as a side but they also have Turkey bacon for those who can’t have breakfast without it. For lunch/dinner I would defiantly go with the rotisserie. This place redefined what rotisserie should be like(according to one of the servers the secret is in the brine) it comes with cornbread(gluten free), one sauce(try the blanq bbq), and a side. Now for the sides they have many options. They have your typical mac n cheese, mashed potato, and broccoli. If you’re feeling extravagant though you should opt for the potato au gratin or ginger carrots. The environment is fun and hip. The ambiance of the store is defiantly unique, even for Ridgewood standards. I plan on staying a regular here as long as I’m in Jersey

Absolutely incredible! The food was amazing and the staff are super friendly. The French onion soup was out of this world and the Côte Du Rhone was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had!

To give fellow Unilocalers the best review possible I am going to be posting reviews only after visiting an establishment more than once just to make sure service & food isn’t a fluke. Le Bön Choix is now my go to dining spot in Northern NJ. Want to meet someone for a snack or coffee… Le Bön it is. Want a delicious meal with a variety of options? Le Bön it is. Need gluten free? Yes! Need the meat to be ethically raised, free range, hormone and anti-biotic free? Yes! Don’t want to worry about parking? Yes! The only thing you have to worry about is overeating. Highly recommend all their sandwich /burger items. Get the optional«bocuse style» option on every meal choice and you won’t be disappointed. The staff is extremely helpful/knowledgeable. The best that Ridgewood dining has to offer is at Le Bön. My favorites so far have been the Le Burger and the Cote Du Rhone. Looking forward to trying out their brunch menu options next and will keep you updated.

We had an awkward and frustrating time at Le Bön Choix recently. My friend described the restaurant as an upscale Boston Market, which was pretty accurate. Since it is a sandwich, soup, and salad kind of restaurant I expected the food to come out quickly, but this was not the case. Our order was taken for sandwiches and side soups/salads. It took about an hour to get our food! When the food finally came they brought out the wrong sandwich, thus more waiting ensued. Overall, the food was not bad at all(I had the Lyon sandwich), but it was disappointing to have the kitchen/service be so behind. Someone apologized for the wait, but nothing like a free dessert or comp’ed dish was offered to make up for the crazy wait time and wrong orders.

Only the name is French. Otherwise, its regular rotisserie chicken with BBQ sauce. The presentation of the food is very cute. They served my chicken quarter on a heavy chopping board. The Espresso BBQ sauce is good, but nothing to rave about. Its a shabby quaint kinda place. They did a good job in dressing up the store. Makes the dining experience very relaxed and refreshing. This must be a great place for brunch.

Don’t bother with the blueberry pie. While the filling is sweet, the gluten free crust is disgusting. Had a special, shephards pie for the appetizer, nice size, had burger meat, some gravy, and some good mashed potatoes. It’s a good and a very filling side. I’d probably give it around a 3.5÷3.6 Also had the pulled chicken. I think the portion is a bit small for 16 dollars, even with a side. I think the sandwiches were better. The«Blanc» bbq sauce is excellent, a bit cheesy/spicy. Side of Mac was good, the cornbread was excellent even though it was GF. I’ll keep it at a 4, even though that pie was closer to a 1 as the first meal was much better.

This place was good. Limited menu but they focus on what they do right: rotisserie chicken. The chicken couldn’t be any tastier. You don’t even need the sauces you will enjoy it plain(but get a sauce to try cause it comes with it anyway!) I had the pulled chicken and my boyfriend had a half chicken on the bone. Both were great. –1 star cause it’s not a great lunch place in my opinion. Came for lunch and the meal itself took 45 minutes I was expecting it to be faster even like cafeteria style but it was not. And you’re going to spend $ 20 per person for lunch without a drink. So it’s pricey for lunch. Still enjoyed myself but would come for dinner rather than lunch!

I was able to venture to Le Bön Choix during their Brunch and I was not disappointed with their offerings. I really enjoyed the ambiance and décor here, as it is simple, clean, and very welcoming. The service here was top-notch and very professional, For the appetizer, I shared the french toast, which I had no complaints about. It had the right amount of sweetness with good texture. For the main course I had LBC Croque Madame, a chicken(chose dark meat) and cheese sandwich topped with an egg. I did not try their rotisserie chicken here, which is what they seem to be known for, but if this sandwich has any taste like that rotisserie chicken dish, the chicken here is very good. The chicken on my sandwich was very good, moist, and full of flavor. I really dislike having dry chicken and this sandwich did not have any of that. The topped egg added a nice touch to the sandwich as I would allow the yolk to run to add even more taste to it. Overall, I was impressed with this place and would definitely come back again to try their rotisserie chicken! Do not disappoint me when I return!

If you want to be in the inner circle you must like brunch. I just don’t want to know you if you don’t like brunch. Brunch must haves: good French toast. Maybe you disagree? Maybe you think pancakes are a requirement? You would be wrong. The Bön choix does some in the trenches hard core french toast. The Bön Choix does it lazy afternoon, wearing my fat pants, forget the troubles for a while style french toast. Made with brioche as all good French toast should be. Real maple sugar. Great cappuccinos too. I plan to go back for some lunch, so stay tuned for an update review. I wish they had a liquor license. Booz is the one element missing from this perfect French toast. Staff was great. They made a small error and apologized, which saved the servers tip and this review.
