I agree with the below poster, who ever gave this doctor more than 2 stars was probably hired by this doctors office to post positive reviews. All I have to say is that if you value your health and life stay away from this doctor. He is rude, condecending, does not seem knowledable, and tries to get you out of the office as fast as possible so that he can get the next guy in to bill the insurance.

Dr. Ewald must really treat his«paying» patients well considering those reviews! Now let me tell you about the Doc when he’s at the«Clinic» at Bergen Regional Medical Center… Clearly intimidating to the unfortunate who seek out his ‘free help’, impatient, rude, condescending, and has the bed-manner(to quote another patient I talked to, just before the first time I saw him) — «Of a rock».. Of which I agree btw. After I met him and my very, very, rushed appointment(which took 5 hours to get in front of him) practically called me an idiot and got visibly irate when I couldn’t remember a few things about who and what had happened in my last three visits to the clinic.(so sorry that my RA fog didn’t have me hopping on all 8 that day doc!) so sorry that you lost(not the first time in the day) the patient history file too. The other patients at the BRMC clinic can’t stand the guy! But we all have no choice but see him and pray that he’s having a good slow-paced day so we can get the help we need! Oh, and it’s an absolute NO if you ask for him to verify or otherwise sign a document that doesn’t have anything to do with Bergen Regional Medical Center… This I also learned from 3 other patients as I sat in the waiting room. If you’re looking for real help, and you can’t pay for it, find someone else.

I love this doctor! He is sooo great with my grandmother! He has given her excellent care and her gout has drastically improved since she has been seeing him. There is a lab right across the hall, which is VERY convenient whenever grams needs blood work. It’s never a long wait in his office. We almost always go right in to see the doctor. And his secretaries are sweethearts as well! If you need a rheumatologist, give Dr. Ewald a call!
