Dear One Studio

I went to Dear One for both my engagement and wedding photography, and they did not disappoint! The engagement shoot went so smoothly even though it was our first time being professionally photographed — the photographer knew all the spots in SF that were picture-​perfect, and he was very friendly and fun to work with. For the wedding, he didn’t miss any details and even though I didn’t have a videographer, I felt that the photographer had done such a good job capturing the whole wedding ceremony/​reception that it would’ve been superfluous to have video! Overall, super happy we went with Dear One, and I would most definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking to preserve their special moments!

My husband and I got married last October, and Dear One was our photographer of choice. They photographed both our engagement session and wedding, and I just can’t say enough good things about them! Having done a bit of wedding photography myself, I was really keen on finding a photographer who could capture the aesthetic that I was going for — interesting, edgy and fun! Some photographers we met with had a certain «look» they were going for and weren’t open to deviating from that, but I could tell that Wonwoo listened and could pretty much capture moments the way we wanted (and adding his own artistic touch, of course). For our engagement session, he had picked out beautiful spots that he took us to in both Oakland and SF. He was patient while I had 4 outfit changes. For our wedding, he came on time and captured all the key moments. In the midst of a busy and hectic day, it is a great feeling knowing that your photographer knows exactly what he’s doing. Wonwoo is also a wonderful person to work with, and I am constantly recommending him to all my close friends and family. Come to find out, he’s also photographed 2 of my co-​workers too! Whenever there’s an occasion for photography, Wonwoo will be the first person I call. TWO THUMBS UP (and more if I had extra!)

Straight to the point: TWO THUMBS UP! I hired these guys for our baby shower 2 months ago. It was a big event for us because all our families from across the country flew in for it and all our local friends were in full attendance. And did they do a good job? YES! They made sure to capture all the intricate details of the event and the happy and loving faces of our loved ones. As an amateur photographer, I enjoy good photography. And they certainly satisfied my eager hunger for tasteful pictures of our most intimate moments that will be kept for life and more. I will be going back for our baby pictures soon. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!

I got married last month and I used Dear-​One for my wedding photography. They did a wonderful job! Before the wedding day, they planned out a location photoshoot for me, my fiancé, and all the bride and groomsmen. They picked all the beautiful locations around the bay area for us to take photos. I even was suprised that they picked so many beautiful locations and concepts for our engagement session and let us chose. They made it so easy for us with all of the wedding planning we had going on!
On the wedding day, they had 2 fulltime photographers and 1 assistant to make sure no precious moments were missed. After seeing the photos of our wedding day I was so happy. The photos were very intimate and they really captured all the different emotions of our wedding day.
The photographers were wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs photography. Head photographer has worked with a lot of celebrities in asia, which is a huge plus. Their rates are also very reasonable. Check them out!
