I was going to a barbershop in Midtown for the last 4.5 years. Got married about 3 months ago and needed a beard trim and shaping for my wedding. Rolled the dice on the morning of my wedding and gave Alex Barber shop based on a recommendation. Alex’s son did a great job, beard looked awesome and listened to what I wanted. Went back before my buddies wedding and Alex gave me a haircut/​beard trim. Did a great job as well. Found my new barbershop and its only a few blocks away.

My wife made last minute changes to our vacation plans which necessitated my need for a haircut at a moment’s notice. My normal barber is By Appointment Only, and even if he weren’t, the two counties that separated us today were too far to travel.
A quick scan of Unilocal and I discovered this wonderful little shop just beyond the intersection of Metropolitan and Eliot Avenues, just a few blocks from my work. The proprietor Alex, a slight man with a bit of an eastern European accent greeted me and got to work immediately. He buzzed, trimmed and styled my hair neatly, then finished it all off with a straight razor to cut a fine line around the perimeter. I spent less than 10 minutes in the chair and walked out a new man.
All totaled, the cut was a very reasonable $ 13 + $ 5 tip. I’ll definitely be back.
Only downside, sparse parking in the area.
