I saw a review here that stated that the foods stayed on the shelves too long because everyone goes to H-Mart. This was likely true back then, but I think that many patrons have shifted their business over to H&Y and Hannam Chain stores more recently. There’s more H-Marts in the Fort Lee and nearby areas than Starbucks, but it doesn’t alleviate the zoo-like conditions of the one in Linwood Plaza. We now come here more often to escape the stampede, especially during H Mart’s 1+1 days(on the 11th, buy 1 get 1 free deal day of every month). I don’t get everything I need from here, but the freshly made tofu is amazing — THATALONE brings me here on a weekly basis. It is true that on some of my visits, the produce wasn’t that fresh, but for produce, I go to Whole Foods anyway, so that hasn’t bothered me.

As soon as I walked in, there were samples. At the end of every aisle, there were samples. What more can I ask for? I anticipate my next visit to come grocery shopping while making sure I walk thru every single aisle to get a bite of food. They even have a sushi bar, and a dumpling kitchen inside the supermarket! Every shelf was stocked. Lots of staff walking around for help. Look for their Red Friday Deals! Basically by the time I pay I have already had a full meal. Not even done yet, wait till you go to their mini food court next door… oh boy.

i tend to go here more often then super hmart. the isles are easier to navigate and products are similar in price but there seafood department is much much better(fresher) then hmart. the store/mall is alot smaller then hmart but for some reason prefer it better. people are bit nicer etc.

This is one of the cleanest Korean supermarkets I’ve been to(and trust me, I frequent a lot of them). Everything is organized really well and the produce is very fresh. It’s pretty spacious, which helps when navigating around fellow shoppers. I do notice that this store doesn’t get as many customers as other Korean marts I’ve been to, but that only makes for a better shopping experience. Every time I’ve come here with my family, the whole store is riddled with free sample tables advertising various products that are on sale. You can seriously make a meal out of the sheer amount of samples they provide. They also have a few mini-stores inside for specialty things like dumplings, and fresh homemade Korean dishes(I love their soon-dae). They also have the accessory and makeup stores right past the cash registers. What I like about this location though, is their little coffee shop/booth. I get the taro milk bubble tea most of the time, but their iced coffee is pretty good, too. I definitely recommend this store if you’re in need of some Korean groceries. It’s spacious, organized and very clean.

Located right next to SUPER Hmart you would think this is a strange place for another korean supermarket i mean how could they compete. Well they compete by bye being quick easy friendly and having free samples. I came here to get some shrimp for fishing bait. it was self serve raw shrimp at under 5 dollars a pound compared to Stop and shop where i had come from wich was 8 dollars a pound and a ticket line 30 people deep YIKES i had to retreat to another location and my friend directed us here. so half the price for shrimp and no wait BRILLIANT. While making my way to the register i enjoyed samplings of a desert bread and a pig sausage. both were delicious and if i hadn’t bought lunch, i would have grabbed one of the delicious looking pre-made kimpops that were laid out with a generous amount of golgi in them.

I went there on their grand opening weekend and I’ve been back since. The crowds have diminished substantially — I guess people are voting with their feet; and Super H-Mart is the winner. That being said with the two stores so close, it make sense to stop by both to get a sense of which has the best prices for what you want. The sundae(only on weekends?) is fantastic.(Back of the store near the meats.) Try some.(It’s pronounced soon-dae. Korean blood sausage. Ask wikipedia.)
