Came here for memorial weekend. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. Loved the Chardonnay and rosé. Free BBQ was a plus.

Still my favorite. Debbie Chapman was wonderful to us – wines we wanted, even though they weren’t on the list!

The wine was better than expected, walked away with 4 bottle. Staff trash talking coworkers and other customers brought the experience down. I wonder what they’ll say about us when we leave.

Poorly managed, and just fired one of their best, most knowledge employees? I doult this tasting room will last. Can find a much better pinot noir in the area, perhaps a new winemaker?

We visited this tasting room on a Thursday wine tour. Good wines and lady who did the pouring was friendly and knowledgeable about wines.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon and were the only patrons. First they have a reasonable tasting fee of $ 5 that is refundable on a purchase, which we made. In addition to the 5 regular tastings they gave us 2 additional wines. We tend to like reds and the 2008 and 2009 pinot noirs were very good to excellent. The 2010 Chardonnay was one of the better ones we tasted on our tour of Oregon. The riesling and rose could easily be skipped. It does not look like much from the outside but the tasting room is well done.

This was my second trip to Firesteed. Went with my brother and his girlfriend during a visit back to Oregon. I found out that Alaska Airlines was letting Oregon wines fly for free(no checked bag fees) so naturally I had to buy some wines. The staff was very helpful and friendly and helped me package up my wine. We did not do a tour on this trip but had done one before. It was really fun and interesting to hear about their process and get to know the winemakers. I got a Pinot Noir that I am saving for a special occasion and cannot wait for it!

their 2012 rose of Pinot is beautiful with guava nectar and just the right amount of crispness(my favorite rose for the 2012 vintage). and the current release citation Chardonnay is very fine. all in all they are extremely consistent in their wines. their tasting room is an industrial feel as you get to watch the bottling in the background but their wines are quite nice and they offer a full range tasting. I’ll go back.

Had a nice visit here last weekend. Stopped in for a quick tasting and they were about to have a Wine Club event. They still didn’t rush us too much and we got a full flight of tasting. I’m not a big Chardonnay fan but theirs is very good. Went home with a bottle of 09 Pinot Noir. Very nice place.

We went to about 6 wineries and this was our favorite, by far. The two women who helped us with the tasting were so friendly and personable. We had great conversations about food, wine, and lots in between. We were the only people doing tastings when we were there, so it felt very personal and intimate. The wines were our favorites of the day too. We actually got the Riesling to have back at the hotel room. Their wines are the most reasonably-priced that we saw, too.

Firesteed has been in the business for a while and it shows. They do have a new tasting room. Michael, the hospitality manager, was a very entertaining host and did much to highlight the differences of their wines. Their wines are more on the economical scale and a decent value. The $ 5 tasting fee is waived with purchase.

We stopped at Firesteed because we had previously had their pinot and figured it would be a nice jumping off point for wine tasting in the Willamette Valley. Michael, the tasting room manager, was knowledgeable and fun to interact with. The wines were pretty good. The barbera($ 12) was a great value for the varietal — which you don’t see much here(because they import from Italy). If you’re into a bolder bigger pinot and you find their mass market pinot a little light, go for their Willamette Valley Pinot Noir — at $ 30 it’s a little«spendy»(as they seem to say a LOT in the valley) but worth a taste.

I went wine tasting at Firesteed on 1÷28÷07 and had a great experience. The woman who poured for us was very knowledgeable and was in the process of becoming a sommelier. All of the wines were tasty, especially the affordably-priced 2003 Pinot Noir($ 15, I think) and the Cayalla(red blend — $ 15.00). The tasting room is in the warehouse, which is chilly, but she said they are building a tasting room soon.
