We were looking for some beignets in the area and stumbled upon this place on Unilocal. There’s a huge line when we get there. They have super gourmet donuts, cronuts, beignets, banh mi and other sandwiches. Overall it was a-okay in my opinion. Service is super slow. The beignets and donuts we ordered were decent.

If you’re looking for gourmet and fun looking donuts in Houston area then come here! So many options it was hard to chose just 12 for my dozen. It took about 30 mins during a busy time for them to make it for me. Some are better looking than they are tasting. The PB&J was top 5!

Where to start? Mouth watering gourmet donuts! The donuts are made fresh to order and the customer service is so friendly and helpful. My personal favorite is the strawberry cheesecake donut. They have such a variety of flavors to choose from, it is impossible to not find one that you will fall in love with. The only complaint is the location which is pretty far and deep in the Sugarland/Richmond neighborhood so it proves to be quite a drive each and every time I decide to muster up enough productivity to go. I also wish it was open a little longer. The shop itself is very dainty and cute. They are very creative with their donut names and flavors. Can’t wait to try their cronuts next time I’m back!

When a small strip mall business in Pecan Grove has hundreds of reviews on Unilocal, you know there’s something going on there. We arrived after 9:30am and the cronuts were already sold out. I am amazed that the demand is still there! I thought the cronut phase was so 2 years ago! BUT their specialty donuts are still worth the trek over there. The strawberry cheesecake failed to impress me, but I was all about the maple bacon glazed donut. That was a whole bunch of YAAAAS and WIN! The cashier was super friendly and willing to explain everything to us Grove n00bs. She was super patient and truly embraced«service with a smile»! Do come here if you can. And come early for those cronuts!

I have been here a few times but finally writing a review! Fortunately, this place is 15 minutes from me, so its very convenient. I went on a Saturday morning, which was crowded, which is not a surprise. I ordered a chocolate donut with sprinkles, a maple bacon cronut, and the Caphin artisan. Altogether, it was $ 13 so this is a treat! There are two women that work there – one is sooooo sweet and the other one needs to practice some customer service. One offers to open the door and a cup of ice for my Caphin, but the other does not pay attention and makes me feel as though I am bothering her by ordering. By the time I got home, I saw they gave me a strawberry donut instead of a chocolate. Not a big deal, but it bugs me when I don’t get something I paid for. The strawberry was pretty good, but the donut was delicious-light and fluffy on the inside and a tad crispy on the outside. The bacon maple donut was not my favorite!!! The bacon was chewy, not crispy. The cronut was goood, but I would prefer a regular donut – just my personal opinion. The Caphin is always delicious and there is enough to save half for the next day. The last few times I went there, I got the oreo cheesecake donut and that has been my favorite so far!

Best kronuts ever!!! This donut shop is ran by a young family and you can see how dedicated they are to their business! Customer service is awesome and I hear there’s a donut gourmet bus coming soon! Can’t wait!

We went on a Sunday morning around 10:30am and the line wasn’t too bad — maybe 3 parties ahead of us. Their bavarian stuffed donut holes were quite good — I recommend them. The s’mores kronut was SUPER sweet — comes with toasted marshmallows on top too! I couldn’t eat more than a few bites of this. It was super rich and super sweet. Had to split with J and then we still had more to save for later. Their cinnamon sugar kronut was good as well. Crispy/crunchy! J thought their coffee was pretty standard — nothing to write home about.

One word: Kronut. That’s all you need to know about this place. Get the glaze. Everything else is just a distraction from the perfect original.

Love this place. Awesome Gourmet Donut shop that has a whole bunch of different delicious flavors. My favorite flavors are Maple Bacon and Cookie Butter. I still haven’t tried the Kronuts but I plan on trying those on my next trip. It’s recommended that you call in and order the Kronuts in advance. It’s alway packed, so be prepared to wait in line a bit. Kolaches are good as well and they even have Boudin Kolaches on the weekends! Located in Richmond but believe me, totally worth the drive out!

Update: I had to lower the star rating. I’m actually upset with them. My below review stands, however, they don’t serve kronuts until 930am. This is posted ABSOLUTELY no where in the store. They have a sign that says they are sold out, but that sign wasn’t posted. So I’m waiting 30 minutes because I had my heart set on a kronut. This place is an awesome must try! They have amazing doughnuts and kolaches. They also have something called kronuts which is a mix between a crosaint and a doughnut. They have a ton of options so every time you go it could be a good experience. The con is one price, it’s a little expensive. Two, it can be overwhelming your first time there and the people who work there aren’t quick to help you out, explain to recommend the most basic thing on the menu. With so many diverse options, I wish the staff could give you more insight into things to try. I recommend anyone go. If you’re watching what you eat, this is not the place for you(or go on your cheat day lol).

They make donuts super fresh and on demand, you can request for whatever you’d like and they will make it for you! Each donut takes about 1 – 2 minutes to complete. Donuts — So cute and delicious, loved that they have minion donuts! Drink– we got a cha-berry, pretty good, the berry stuff inside are too sweet and sour for my taste, but the smoothie was good. Price — minions are $ 3.25 each, the most expensive donuts at Grove’s. They are not cheap, but so creative, fresh and yummy! Atmosphere — I wish it was more kid-friendly. We had 4 kids in our party, they didn’t have any high chairs or booster chairs which made things a little difficult. Staff — friendly, and the service is fast.

This place rocks my world! We had a banana pudding doughnut and a crème brûlée doughnut both were made to order. Both were to die for. Their Kolaches were tasty too. I can’t wait to try more flavors. We went back for the second time and tried many more doughnuts all of which were amazing. Only one out of like 12 or so doughnuts survived long enough for me to remember to get a picture. We can’t wait to try their sandwiches!

The Grove is situated amidst a Pecan Grove, hence the name… It’s not the pecans that make people go nuts out here, though, it’s definitely the do-nuts. Made to order donuts, I know, I couldn’t believe it either. You wanted reeses coco puffs on a peanut butter glazed donut, but the high demand caused you to miss out? No problem, they’ll make it fresh, just the way you like it. The menu is very large, and one outing is not near enough(we’re okay with that). It’s also a deli, with large portions for the price. It’s a shame they close at 2pm, because my wife and I both could eat here for every meal(don’t you dare judge us). Contrary to popular belief, it’s not all about the donuts here,(it could be, no joke). They have kronuts(croissant with glaze and toppings), kolaches, full café menu, and plenty of other delectable treats and specialities. If this wasn’t so far out of town from us, we would no doubt be supporting three full time salaries here. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Go nuts, at The Grove.

Gourmet donuts. Prices are a bit high, but The Grove has good variety and you should be able to find something you really like. I had the Elvis donut, but It had way too much peanut butter and I couldn’t taste the donut. The Fire in the Hole donut was awesome. Sweetness from the donut and heat from the jalapeños mixed well together. We had two donuts each for the three of us. The donuts are small, we were still a bit hungry, and the line was too long to get anything else. We left and got some breakfast tacos at a nearby business. We will return in the future and try some other donuts, but will most likely get them as a snack or possibly get a mix of kolaches and donuts. The boudin kolaches and cronuts looked interesting. Arrive early, as this place is popular. We spent $ 24 for breakfast.

When we walked in, there was a long line. The reputation, and the smell, kept us from retreating. We waited patiently and ordered a dozen kolaches and two gourmet donuts, with two Vietnamese coffees to wash it all down. I ordered the maple bacon donut and my friend ordered a mint Oreo donut. We soon discovered what caused the wait. They made every gourmet donut to order. It was warm and delicious and maybe the best donut I’ve ever eaten. My friend agreed. The Vietnamese coffee was excellent — bottled elsewhere but great accompaniment. Next time I would pass on the kolaches(too much bread!) and just get an extra donut. Definitely a great tucked away place to check out!

Oh gosh, does the Grove live up to its name. I picked up some donuts after work for Clare’s birthday breakfast snack. These donuts are made to order and you have to go early otherwise they sell out. I called ahead of time to place my order because I didn’t want to make the drive out there and risk them running out of the items I wanted. I ordered the Funky Monkey(bananas, Nutella, and caramel), banana pudding(with vanilla wafers), strawberry cheesecake(custard with strawberry icing), crème brulee(custard with caramelized sugar topping), and lemon glazed donut holes. Each one was so delicious! My favorite was the crème brulee. I thought the custard was delicious, and I appreciated the caramelized sugar crust. Clare’s favorite was the Funky Monkey(she loves Nutella), and Randy’s favorite was the banana pudding. The lemon glazed donut holes were a first for me, but once I placed one in my mouth I kept wanting more. The lemon glaze wasn’t too citrusy, but worked so well with the delicious yeast donuts. I also got Caphin Vietnamese iced coffee and I really enjoyed it. I heard great things about it, and it lives up to the café sua da name. I would definitely come back to try the cronuts and other varieties.

After doing a double spin class, I figured I had earned a gourmet donut. So, I made the drive out to check out this place — with the understanding that because it was 11 am on a Sunday, my first choices probably wouldn’t be available… and that was certainly the case. The pics of the crème Brule donut looked amazing… so I was a little bummed when I was told they were out. I was also interested in the green tea donut a few other reviewers mentioned, but the cashier informed me they no longer make that variety. Double bummer! I decided on what I thought was the next best thing… tres Leche donut and lemon glazed donut holes. And yummm… no regrets at all with those choices. The donut holes were amazing! I’m a lemon-lover, so it didn’t actually come as a surprise, but I enjoyed the variation on the regular donut hole. The drive to the store and double hustle was totally justified after just one bite of the tres Leche donut. There are no words! It was crispy on the outside like a donut, but had a super-rich, creamy, sweet center. I was definitely impressed! I will be back to try other varieties, and next time I will plan to be there much earlier. :-)

If you haven’t had the unique opportunity to have a cronut, you haven’t lived. There are three spots in the Houston area serving this NYC creation, and The Grove Do-Nutz is head and shoulders above the competition. First off, they have so many unique flavors. This time around, I had the banana cream pie cronut and the Oreo cheesecake cronut. While both were amazing, the Oreo one was a bit better. Even had an Oreo on top for good measure. To make matters better, the cronuts are made to order so you get them nice and hot. If you’ve ever been to Krispy Kreme when the hot sign comes on, you know what I’m talking about. Instant salivation. Like many things in life, a warm cronut is better than a cold cronut. The presentation of the cronuts is also a form of art. Each cronut looks different and visually appealing before it goes down the gullet. The shop is pretty small so don’t be surprised if there is a line. Also make sure to order your cronuts ahead of time so you get some before they sell out. At first I was skeptical driving out here as it’s in the middle of nowhere. Passing by cornfields makes you feel like you’re about to take part in a bad horror movie. But trust me, it’s well worth it. If this spot were close to where I live, I’d be here every weekend. My body thanks me for that not being the case!

So I came by since I was in the area(kind of). Placed an order by phone which was easy enough but not sure what the point of it was. They didn’t start my cronuts until I arrived(which is what they do for any call ahead order) Thankfully it wasn’t busy so the wait wasn’t terrible. The cronuts/donuts were good, but $ 5.50 per cronut good? I don’t know. I also felt like I was going to have a heart attack after eating half of a cronut. Kolaches were definitely underwhelming too. Not sure I’ll be back
