This shop is GREAT! Long story short: I had a small collection of scrap jewelry to sell, and of course I went to a pawn shop down the street from Studio K FIRST. My mistake. I was offered $ 8 at the pawn shop for 58 ounces of silver!(What a joke!) Frustrated and almost ready to go home, I found Studio K through Google maps, called to confirm that they do buy gold and silver, and I went right over. From the outside I didn’t know what to make of the shop. It was near sweet frog, and my GPS set me on the wrong end of their street, so it took me a few minutes to find it, but the short walk was nice. I wondered if it was the right place, or a boutique, but when I entered, I realized I was in the right place. Once inside, I was welcomed by a gentleman at their front desk, and two other employees came out to say hello not too long after. The staff was not only polite, but very professional. I handed over my collection and I browsed their jewelry cases as I waited for them to figure out what it was worth, which didn’t take long at all,(and found several pieces in their showcases that I plan to return for). There was a lot of small chat and laughter between two of the employees, myself and my three year old, and I found the experience was all around great… which doesn’t normally happen when I’m running errands on a Sunday with a cranky little one. When the appraisal was done, they quoted a price I felt was acceptable, and I was done. My three year old was with me on this«adventure,» and having her with me helped with appreciating the quick paced transaction. I would definitely recommend this store to ANYONE looking to sell gold/silver for more than a pawn shop is willing to pay, or looking to purchase exquisite jewelry without paying an arm and a leg. With Christmas coming up, I’m sure I’ll be back more than a few times this year. Thank you everyone at Studio K!
