Salon Del Sol – Midlothian

I got my hair done today by Lydia and my eyebrows waxed by Michelle. Both of them were amazing. I showed Lydia a photo of the haircut I wanted and she gave me exactly what I asked for. Michelle took the time with me to make sure that my eyebrows looked the way I wanted them to. Both of them were easy to talk to and very knowledgable. I highly recommend either of them and will definitely be going back.

I travel A LOT for work, so much so that I haven’t had time in the past couple of months to get a desperately needed haircut while I’m at home. I knew my options were to wait two weeks until I was home again or just try a local place; I was desperate so I went with the second option. The main reason I went with Salon Del Sol is because they do online bookings (which I later learned is pretty new) so at 11:00 at night I was able to book an appointment with Tracy for the next day.
The service was great and I could not have been happier with the results. I showed Tracy a picture of what I wanted and she actually took the time to really look at it, suggesting modifications for me (9 times out of 10 whenever I show a stylist a picture they glance at it once and never look at it again). She then took me to the back where I got an incredible scalp massage (I also got a hand massage while I had conditioner in my hair).
The haircut was fantastic and Tracy really listened to what I wanted and what problems I had when other stylists cut my hair. The worst thing about this salon is that it isn’t in Charlotte and I really can’t justify driving four and a half hours for a haircut.

I have been going to Salon del Sol for about 8 months now. The ladies at the receptionist desk are always very kind and immediately welcome me, ask if I need anything, offer beverages, etc. The salon is elegantly designed and always very clean. My stylist, Cole, always makes sure to ask exactly what I would like done, offers great advice/​suggestions, and I always leave with a haircut that exceeds what I was expecting. The quality of service and overall experience are totally worth every penny. I won’t be looking for a new salon or stylist for a very long time!

Michelle at the Midlothian location is AMAZING at waxing! She is so gentle and shapes my eyebrows so perfectly!

Marisa was awesome. Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, and my hair looks amazing.

Cole did a fantastic job! He really listened to the problems I was having, knew exactly what to do, and then proceeded to give me the best haircut I’ve ever had. I booked him at the last minute and didn’t have time to see which stylist level he was. As it turns out, he is a new stylist. I would have never known it in 1,000 years, and I’ve had my haircut by only senior stylists at Salon Del Sol and Mango for the past 7 years or so. I will continue to go to him from now on.

All current customers please read! I have been a customer at Del Sol for years and absolutely love my stylist. Professional, friendly and listens to my needs! She is amazing! Also, the receptionist is awesome!
Now here is what I am sooooo ANGRY about… I went in to get my hair done and was again so pleased, and when I went to pay with my credit card, I was once again asked if I wanted to add a TIP– I always say yes, but for some reason, I decided to give a CASH TIP. I inadvertently found out, THAT OVER ALL THE YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN PUTTING A TIP ON MY CREDIT CARD, THAT IT HAS GONE TO THE OWNERS!!! Obviously, it was INTENDED FOR MY STYLIST!
I was deceived by the owners, and feel like they stole from me!!!
However, if I complain, my stylist/​receptionist will apparently be in huge trouble for letting me know! And again, they are both fabulous!
So– if you wish to give your stylist a tip… CASH ONLY!

I went to Salon del Sol a week ago with my sister for a spa day. IT WAS THE GREATEST EXPERIENCE EVER. We got manicures with Lydia– she was SO friendly and personable, and she did an extremely thorough job with my nails (they still look good 8 days later!) Then we got massages with Tomega… oh my gosh. It was one of the greatest (if not the greatest) massages I’ve ever received. Everyone at the salon is so friendly, too. I would HIGHLY recommend going here.

I changed to this salon when I moved here from Florida. My stylist is Megan. Shes does such a wonderful job. She listens, makes suggestions and always willing to give me advice when I want to spice things up a bit. I always get rave reviews on my color and style. I continue to recommend her to everyone who asks.

We changed to Jesse at Salon Del Sol after having the same styist for 10 years. He is wonderful. He listens to what we think we need, and makes suggestions based on ease of the style, flattery to us personally, and current trends. My teenage girls love how he makes their hair look. My 17 year old is excited as he is going to ombré her hair in 2 weeks. My mother even changed to him. Easy to get an appointment and the staff is attentive. Price compareable in the Richmond market.

Messed my neck up pretty bad last week, so I had my first massage at Midlothian with Andrew C. last Friday. He was so meticulous, educated, professional, and since I was completely clueless and a bit nervous about the pain in my neck (no pun intended) he talked me through everything he did. Which I appreciated. If you’ve never had a massage before, go see ANDREW!

This review is soley for the massage therapist ANDREW and for my prenatal massage I got. Andrew is super sweet, knowledgeable, and coincidentally the husband of my hairstylist Sarah V. who works at Mango! Random small world! He was so friendly, told me what he was doing but without being overly talkative, and the massage was fabulous. I am definitely planning to go back for future massages.
