Service was good and the beer selection was good but the fish and chips were terrible. I don’t normally complain but the Guy I was with told them and to their credit they tried to make it right with more fish which was equally terrible. If you are wondering terrible means that there is little to no fish in the fish, mostly breading.

Excellent service, great food, amazing selection and atmosphere. The bartenders are always friendly and well put together for the most part.

If I could give a negative star I would. Very non police friendly we were having a good time and when the bar made a mistake and sent over two pitchers the manager who said that his name was Silas Smith threw out one of our group because he told him not to be an ass hole. So I attempted to go and talk to said manager and he told me that my buddy was being a fucking ass hole so I told him that he just did the same thing that he accused my friend of doing and that was bull shit then he threw me out. Very horrible establishment. I will never be back inside this bar and recommend that no office ever go to this bar. I told this guy this and he said that he did not care if we ever come back! I feel that he and his establishment is not police friendly or cares if we ever spend any money there again. Reggie Latham

I get that we go here to drink but the staff is so rude. The bartenders are ok but the door staff are the worst.

8 months ago i went to Paddy’s for a beer and food and was very disappointed. This time I knew better but hoped things changed. Same bad table service, if you wave like a mad man they may decide to come over, but don’t expect them to check to see how the food is or to get a drink refill. and the food was again — Burger was DRY(If you press a burger on the grill it pushes out all the moisture/juices) — Shepherd pie — was a frozen pot pie. but yet again the beer choices are there.

So here it is… The bar itself looks nice, modern old wood and open. 2 pool tables, tv’s and a generous amount of customers to mingle with. The menu is very limited however and no Bangers & Mash(the search continues). There was a lot of beer choices for you IPA, lager, ale and blah blah fans. The service is pleasant enough if you ever get lucky enough to get their attention. Honestly, I didn’t even order any food, took so long to get a menu that I didn’t want to risk how long it would take to get my food. As always my phone was almost dead, no outlets to be found save for the one in a lonely corner.(Not my style) Eventually they finally let me pay for my drinks and I went across the street to Madison Garden for my meal and a few more drinks. The service there is more attentive and the phone needed the charge.

Not sure about all of these 5 star reviews especially on the food. I guess some people have no taste buds. This used to be the hot spot in town with a lot of beer choices, a beautiful bar and pretty good food for a beer pub. For whatever reason the Paddy Wagon has taken a nose dive in most every area. When you look at the beer taps many are covered because they no longer have that on tap. The food is just nasty, nasty and more nasty. Greasy, dried out, over cooked, undercooked, since they changed their menu it’s just BAD. My friend and I were there the other night and there were about 30 people in the bar and 6 workers. We had to flag down someone for a drink after being there 10 minutes. Then we had to flag someone down for food. After they brought the food they never checked back. We had to flag someone down again for another drink and again for our check. If you go, sit at the bar, it’s the only way to get service, they pay no attention to people at tables. Finally, I am not a prude but the women bartenders need a lesson in work appropriate clothing. They look dirty, seriously, like they need a bath. I know they are proud of their numerous tattoos but please, we don’t need to see them ALL. For example, one young lady had her hair all pinned up like she didn’t want to mess with washing it, she had on the shortest shorts, a white wife –beater and a black bra. Classy. I am a regular customer so I’ll probably still go there from time to time. Wish there was some nicer place to hang out with friends in Richmond.

Great food and beer selection. Food tastes great and beer is also great. But… if your new in town, they don’t greet well and you feel secluded. Kind of hard to talk to people in a small town who won’t talk back more than the occasional«want another beer?» … Of course what do I know. My travels have included as much as 46 states and 6 of the 7 continents. Go enjoy yourself… Maybe your experience will be different. Like I said the food and beer are awesome.

Love the Paddy Wagon. Had awesome wings and cheap drinks. Tvs were half down for the UK game but was cable companies fault so no discredit to the owners who tried to bypass the cable box. Awesome place.

This place is the best bar in richmond! It has amazing bar food along with the best burgers in richmond. They are huge and are seasoned fantastic. They have things like fried pickle spears, giant pretzels, chicken(cordon bleu, buffalo, garlic, etc) sandwhiches. Every Monday they get a new beer on tap and you can keep the glass(For a small charge). They have live music about once a week, pool tables, and druring the spring and summer a beautiful patio to enjoy the weather. I think what I like most is that even though Richmond is a college town, this bar has a wide array of clientele. From students and teachers, to middle aged couples and senior citizens. Great find!

I love the Paddy Wagon. It’s a great place to grab a drink. The staff is upbeat and energetic. It’s easy to get a drink. Kind of a quiet bar not too rowdy. Serves both the older and younger crowd.

The Paddy Wagon has been a hang out spot for me for about 6 years. It is by far one of the best bars in Richmond. The Paddy burger is worth the trip alone! The variety of beer is truly amazing. When it is busy it is tough at times to get a drink but that is to be expected but go early and the service is outstanding. This my usual get the night started place to go. Oh yeah, Monday pint night is worth checking out.

I went this past weekend and it’s a great place for beer, friends and KY hoops. Josh is the bartender to see for great service. It’s a really great pub with really great chips. Get a basket for each person to avoid chip battles. They’re that good.

By far the best atmosphere in Richmond for a drink or a solid meal. Bartenders are excellent and the beer selection is great.

It’s a good bar don’t get me wrong… But it’s not a user friendly bar. If your looking for a bar where you can sit relax and enjoy a beer and some friendly conversations with your local bartender this isn’t the place for you. If your looking for a bar to watch a football game with a bunch of screaming college kids then this ones for you. It has it’s ups and downs. But with out a doubt the best Richmond has to offer

Best bar to go to in Richmond. Friendly atmosphere, huge selection of booze, and their food is even good. Ask for a grilled cheese and you will receive the cheesiest, perfectly grilled sandwich you’ve ever put in your mouth. If you’re into the whole crowded, vomit on the floor, array of student life scene then go on the weekends — duh. If not, go during the week; say mid-afternoon for some peace with your suds, or talk to some friendly elder locals, ya know. There are plenty of seats around the 360 bar. Lots of seating around the walls — small tables, large tables for groups, tall tables, there’s even a patio in the rear. And there are two pool tables, and some TVs for those of you who can’t fathom going two hours without watching some basketball.

What can I say? 50+ beers on tap, at least 6 Big Screen TVs, friendly bartenders, and the standard pub food fare. If you want to get away from the chains, this is a good place to have a beer. They also have a couple of pool tables, and a nice outdoor area. All in all, I will go back when I am in town, if only for the eclectic selection of draft beer.
