I’ve been to a few MacDonald ‘s my time. And really there’s really nothing to write home about. It’s clean, the service is okay the food is typical. But after the movies it’s one of the few things open in downtown Richmond.

Horrible. Went thru drive thru girl taking the order definitely doesn’t belong in customer service… had an attitude. I just arrived in Richmond and there were no restaurants around that had parking. I typically never go to McDonalds but I was starving after driving from Virginia Beach so I ordered a quarter pounder meal and it was cold. Disgusting service and food! Don’t worry McDonalds I won’t be going back!!!

Rude, lazy and dishonest employees. Ordered a mc chicken biscuit from dollar menu and they ring it up at $ 1.19. I questioned it and all I got was the price went up. I told them I was looking at the menu board and it says $ 1. «The price just went up». How about someone takes the initiative to change the menu to what the price really is. If you think that attitude and work ethic is worth $ 15 per hour, you are delusional. Worst McDonalds in Richmond metro area as I have gotten food poisoning there years ago but that was before Unilocal

I have never had a positive experience at this location, but at least most of the time, it’s passable. This last trip was the trip that will make me never come back to this McDonald’s again. What I wanted they didn’t have(chocolate shake, which their machine was out of order), so I ordered something else. I got the wrong order in the drive thru(after hours while the dining room was closed), and the attendant managed to not to show any emotion or interest in life at all or say any words to me. It was downright rude and disrespectful, especially when I tend to be extra nice to people that work in restaurants — it’s not an easy job. I parked my car, and walked back up to the drive thru window. Without even saying anything, she handed me a new bag, and walked away. No «I’m sorry» or anything. Take an extra minute, and drive down to Cary Street. It’s worth it.

We came by for drive thru on Sat night 6÷7÷14 ~12:45 am and received the worst service I’ve ever experienced from a drive thru. The woman taking the order’s tone of voice was just so rude and she was very unhelpful. I ordered 20 nuggets meal and said me: «could i replace my fries with a fruit cup?» woman taking order: «no» me: «okay…could i replace my fries?» woman taking the order clearly ignores me and proceeds with«what sauce you want?» I then repeat myself in saying«could i replace my fries?» woman: «hold on» *puts me on hold* comes back to rudely state“what you want?“ me: «could i replace it with a fruit cup?» woman: no *silence*… me: what can i replace it with? the woman rudely says«you can only get hash browns» this woman could have not been more unhelpful nor suggested from the beginning that i could only have hash browns. afterwards i tried to order iced coffee which she gave me a rude«no we only have soda». I was so fed up with her attitude i just told her to canceled the order and drove off.

Let me start by saying that I’ve always loved going to McDonald’s. Yes, yes, I know, «the ingredients are poor quality», «they’re unsanitary», «soylent big mac is people», I’ve heard it all before, though I have always stayed true to my desire for cheap, delicious McDonald’s food. That said, while this location’s food is what it ought to be, the service, speed, and atmosphere make it worthy of avoiding. I will explain. Of the five times I’ve been here(I don’t always remember to do a check-in), every single time I have had difficulty placing an order due to a new cashier(turnover rate on employees is probably sky high here). The manager can easily be located by tracing the origin of the obscenities flying around the place at the various team members. You’d think that a McDonald’s adjacent to the Children’s Museum would be wise enough to stay family-friendly, though that is yet another issue: the clientele of this location are not so much museum attendants as they are homeless/indigent individuals looking for handouts. This has happened during two of my five visits, and while I’m accustomed to being asked for change/help/prayers while walking down the street, this should not be happening inside of a business. Service is slow since the turnover of employees does little to make a good team, though«slow» in McDonald’s time is between 3 – 5 minutes, still not bad. All five times I’ve gone, the ketchup dispensers have been empty and I’ve had to implore the manager for individual packets. Ketchup is like oxygen to me, so you can understand my trouble with this. McDonald’s, you will always have me as a loyal customer because your food is so damn good and so incredibly cheap. That said, this location is not one to visit. I guess I’ll have to start making the trek to the Carytown one. Then again, if you’re already in Carytown, why get McDonald’s at all? Overall: 1.5 stars — — — Pros: –McDonalds food is cheap and delicious, as always. –Slow McDonalds is still faster than a speedy anywhere-else. Cons: –Uncomfortable atmosphere. –Slow(and always new) staff. –Non-functional condiment dispensers. –Cleanliness is a 50⁄50 shot.

I’m so embarassed. I got drunk. Got in a cab and made them take me through the drive-thru. It was so good. So, so good. Shhh…this’ll be our little secret.

So, there’s not much around my job to order so, I went to the closest place,… Mcdonalds… Ordered a southwestern salad… and a berry smoothie. Surprisingly, the service was pretty quick even though there was a line wrapped around the building I still got to the window rather quickly… and made it back to work in record time. My salad was fresh, and the smoothie was the perfect addition. I’m not a huge fan of McDonald’s but this trip was worth it.

This is the worst McDonalds we go to in Richmond. Maybe not the worst ever but close. On a Saturday morning, stopping in before hitting either the Science or Children’s Museum, to a short drive through line but a lobby FULL of people waiting on their food. This was breakfast, sheesh. Ordered simple enough things, no special orders. Coffee machine, broken. No milk for my son. Milkshake machine, broken also. No ketchup. One cash register damaged and covered with plastic. One register open. Rude staff with no eye contact and fake, funny names made up on their nametags(changed to protect the guilty, no doubt). They seemed to be handling the drive through first, then making food for the lobby folks. Waited 10 minutes for 2 sausage burritos, a mccriddle, 2 plain coffees. Cashier had no idea who had ordered what, so once it came up, she said what it was(quietly) and then set it on the counter. So, folks were going up, looking in bags to try to figure out if that was their order. The young cashier did make a special trip from behind the register to hand deliver one bag to a good looking guy, whispering in his ear and laughing as he and a friend left. Hmm how did she remember his order and what great service for him. The rest of us had to fend for what we got. We dread going here and make a point of packing lunches or snacks, driving further west on broad street or pay more for something at the Science Museum when we get hungry and this McDonald’s is the closest. The food wasnt made badly, and she did give us tons of cream and sugar for our coffee. But the whole experience in the lobby was awful. Needs much better management, repair, supervision of staff. Got the impression the kitchen was busting their butts to get food out but understaffed.

If you’re in a hurry PLEASE don’t stop here. It is the worst managed McDonalds I’ve ever been in. Yes it’s only a fast food place but there’s basic in running a place that’s gonna be as busy as this one. The number one basics is FAST food. The last time I went here there were a mass of people in front of the register and these are not people waiting to get their order taken, it’s people waiting for their order to come up. Everyone’s waiting with their receipt in their hand like you’re waiting for your lottery number to be called. The people behind the counter are rude, not in your face rude but, ignore you until they are ready to acknowledge you rude. Plus their is always one cashier who’s mumbling under her breath, «she better get out my face before I smack her» and I’m looking around to figure out who’s she talking about. Is it a coworker a customer? I just want to know so I can avoid the slap area. This last time it was a coworker. I don’t understand why management here haven’t figured out they are next door to the Children’s Museum and it’s gonna be crowded, so light a fire under your staff. They need to figure it out, how to get the flow of customers food to them quicker. The McDonalds at VCU medical center is always crowded but you get your food fast, hence the title, Fast Food.

I give four stars for the priceless look of dumbfoundedness when my bilingual ass made an order in Spanish… the guy didn’t understand me or didn’t want to understand me «quisiera un vasito para cola– y eso es todo» — me «como?”– guy taking my order «quisiera una coca chica”– me «what?» — the guy SIGH. can I get a small drink?– me Clean bathroom and a good laugh after spending eternity in planes
