Called to order shrimp soba and the lady literally said, «um what’s that» and it is clearly listed on the menu. Wtf?

Had sushi here once before(the Lobster Bomb) and was very disappointed. HOWEVER, I recently had a craving for sushi so decided to order take-out. I couldn’t have been more pleased. On one occasion I had the chicken teriyaki($ 12) which comes with a large serving of rice. Comes with some soup and a salad(don’t be expecting much of a salad but the soup was good). Was amazing especially with the yum yum sauce. On another occasion me and my sister shared the Orgasm Roll, Godzilla Roll, and a Tuna Roll w/Haru Maki as an appetizer which is a fried spring roll. It was so delicious I think I had dreams about it. I’ve been dying to go back

Went there for lunch. Order the sushi bowl with assorted fish. The salmon and tuna were okay but other fishes were bad and smelly. I lost my appetite. I ended up paying $ 15 for a bad bowl of fish. Be aware!

My wife and I ate here today and decided to eat in the dining room instead of at the hibachi. I ordered the chicken and steak combo hibachi, and my wife ordered the crab rangoon roll. The waiter brought my wife’s food way before he brought out mine. She finally had to just put her fork down so that she wouldn’t be done before I even got my food. She said her food was not good and was overly salty and cheap tasting. She loves the crab rangoon roll at Malone’s and said this was disgusting in comparison. My steak was over cooked as I had ordered it medium, but it was chewy. My shrimp was burnt black. To beat everything else, my dish had no noodles when it was brought out, and my wife pointed it out to the waiter, who informed us that you only get noodles if you eat at the hibachi grill. Ok, that’s fine, but THEREWASNOPRICEREDUCTION. I paid the same price and got less food simply because I didn’t eat at the grill. That’s a low move in my opinion. We will not be back.

Koto is a great place to eat. The hibachi is very delicious as well as the sushi. It’s a bit expensive for my liking but it is very worth it.

I’m happy they brought back their specials on Tuesday night. Discounts on their speciality rolls and then the more basic rolls are $ 3 and $ 3.75 I believe. From what I heard a little sketchy to actually work their when it comes to getting your tips but the food is always good.

It’s really difficult to get good Japanese food in Central Kentucky, but Koto doesn’t do the best job. The restaurant always smells weird… not like sushi(love that smell), but rather like an attempt to cover up…

The food is good, yes, but as someone who worked at a restaurant when I was younger, I learned that you can tell a lot about a restaurant by their bathrooms. This restaurant’s ladies room is awful. The big bathroom is always broken(I asked if they knew and the server said it’s always broken) and the other restroom doesn’t lock. Trashcan doesnt have a lid. The floors are as sticky as flypaper. If this is what the restrooms look like, id hate to see the kitchen.

Very nice place. The dinner show is one of the most interesting things I have witnessed in awhile. I got the hibachi chicken which was very delectable. Our cook was entertaining and sang to our son who we had taken out for his birthday. The atmosphere was very laid back and relaxing. All in all this was a very good place to eat. I would have given it five stars but it was a little pricy for the portion size. If you have never tried Japanese hibachi give this place a try I don’t believe you will be disappointed.

Had lunch today and food was awesome. Tempura shrimp was so delicious as was the chicken sticks. Highly recommend eating here. Beef soba was also very tasty.

Went on a Tuesday night and happened to be there when they had half off sushi specials. They accidentally brought out the wrong roll but quickly fixed it and the bartender was very sweet about it. When I got the correct roll and seaweed salad it was very good. Overall, had a great experience. I was nervous because it is a chain but I was pleasantly surprised.

So not worth all the hype and hour wait. I was bummed that our meal(hibachi chicken) was not good at all. It lacked any flavor. Our appetizer of money bags were pretty good. But that was it. The food is not worth how expensive it is. I would not recommend this resturant.

Koto’s hibachi grill is wonderful, a good mix of entertainment and quality. The sushi was good, not absolutely superb but good for a KY sushi restaurant. The sweet potato tempura roll had already lost it’s crunch by the time it reached our table, but it was a part of their $ 3 Tuesday dinner deal so I can’t complain. The chicken soba noodles were fantastic and full of flavor, I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I would definitely recommend going on Tuesday nights when some of the basic rolls are $ 3, I’m not sure I would pay full price for their sushi.

Great sushi! I’ve been there twice now, each time trying different things. This last time for lunch a friend and I split several rolls. The orgasm roll lived up to its name and was delicious. We got two straight sushi rolls, one tuna, one salmon. Finally, we also got two tempura rolls, the volcano, and the crazy rolls. All were delicious We particularly loved the volcano, the orgasm was great but comes warm though it is not a cooked roll which was different but still great and the crazy was good but compared to the others did not quite stand up. The one and only thing that I dislike is that unless you ask the salad comes drenched I’m the peanut dressing which is delicious but they tend to use way too much. I love this place definitely a regular spot. They also have great lunch special

So good. It’s a Japanese steakhouse, so of course it’s going to be delicious. Hibachi, so you know it’s going to be a fun time. The meals came with the normal soup, good as always, and salad, which I was not too fond of(mainly due to the dressing), before the chef came out to cook. It also came with the normal fried rice and veggies and here it comes with noodles as well(unexpected, but I thoroughly enjoyed this surprise – very good). My meal was $ 21 for steak/chicken combo(with a couple of shrimp that it seems like every place gives you). Very filling and definitely left me with enough to eat lunch the next day. Waitress was a sweetheart and very attentive and the chef was your typical amusing hibachi chef. I’d definitely recommend it.

Was trying to get something light so decided to try sushi. The restaurant is nice and big inside. I got edamame, dumpling soup, and a couple of rolls($ 3 rolls on tuesdays). The soup was good, the rolls were good for being $ 3. It was a decent meal and really cheap. The service was alright.

I’ve been dining at Koto’s for over a couple of years now(well, ever since they opened) and I must say they are exceptional around the Richmond area. They have always had the most friendly staff, and nice surroundings. The sushi bar is A+ and I highly recommend their Philly roll and also their Angry Dragon roll. Their other oriental dishes are superb and the hibachi is top notch(and man… do they shovel it at you). Give it a try when you are passing by or just in the Richmond KY area. Highly recommended!

A very traditional bistro in Japanese culture. I feel like I had been in Japan and actually feeling eating in local area. We ordered fried rick with pork and shrimps. The most remarkable fact about this shop is that the Japanese chef come out and cook and entertainment for us with his cooking skills in front of us! He even performed throwing eggs into his own hat for us while cooking. We have an amazing moment in Japanese restaurant. The food is freshly cooked and is very delicious and has Japanese taste indeed. Highly recommend for this shop!!!
