Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Waterside

This daycare is very poorly run. There is a constant turnover of staff. My son (11 months now) has been going to school here for 3 months and all of the staff that we dealt with at the beginning have left. (Director, front desk personnel and 3 teachers).
There is no love or affection. Feeding plans and schedules are not followed.
My son (who gets three 1 – 2 hour naps a day with us) was only being put down for 1 nap a day, and was only sleeping for about 30 minutes. He was miserable by the time I picked him up, then would fall asleep as soon as we got home and sleep until it was time to go back. We never saw him during the week. I specifically requested 3 naps but it was blatantly disregarded. When I called to inquire about the napping policy, I originally was told that there was no schedule for that class because they’re too young (which should be the correct answer). After further investigation, I was told that at 10.5 months they’re put on a once a day, noon naptime schedule. I explained that this wasn’t enough and was told they would give him an afternoon nap, but that a morning nap would interfere with their activities.
Fast forward a week, we dropped him off and informed the teacher that he had woken up extra early that morning so asked if they would please give him an early nap. The extent of that attempt was about 2 minutes of rocking his crib back and forth then walking away, leaving him in the crib by himself for 30 minutes, then taking him out to play. Then at his noon nap — which wasn’t even attempted until almost 1, the attempt was rocking the crib while he was standing up! Not even bothering to lay him down. Then walking away to do other things, leaving him by himself in his crib again. I spoke again with the director — highly upset that little to no effort had been put forth — and was told that they tried for 30 minutes at 9, then again for 30 minutes at noon and he just won’t sleep. I explained the lack of attempt that I witnessed on the camera and she very rudely responded with «well what else do you want us to do?» I was speechless. Then finally explained that more effort needed to be put into getting him to nap.
They finally got him down at 2:15… 9.5 hours after waking up that morning.
I am very dissatisfied with this daycare and highly recommend you look elsewhere for your childcare.
