I love Five Guys. Call me crazy but they have the best burgers, especially for a chain restaurant. This is one of those places that I get the same thing every time I go there. I always go for the little cheeseburger, the way they do there menu is little means one patty, just a cheeseburger is 2 patties. The little cheeseburger is always more than enough for me. I get it with the sauteed mushrooms and grilled onions… my stomach is already rumbling just thinking about it! The reason this got 4 instead of 5 stars is because of their fries. some people love them however, I just kind of find them greasy and soggy. They also don’t come with the burger you have to pay for them separate. Don’t worry though, the burger makes up for the fries. So I will definitely be back!

About a month ago a young lady at another Five Guys location introduced me to their veggie sandwich; which is amazeballstasticly good by the way. So last night I left class, placed my order online, drove about 20 minutes, got there and find out that it hadn’t even been started yet! Anyway, I’m watching the guy put together my sandwich and I notice that he’s leaving stuff out, so I politely ask him if he’s added items, like my A1 sauce, and he throws his hand up and yells«I got it, I got it!»…but you haven’t even touched the bottle! So he wraps my sandwich up and throws it at the kid working the register. If I wasn’t so tired I would have check my sandwich in the shop but I really just wanted to go home and go to bed; needless to say my sandwich was completely wrong and I’m really disappointed.

The best thing about 5 guys is your cardiologist not knowing you are dining there. It’s a good burger, with your choice of interesting toppings, and well into the spendy side of the equation. If you go with someone else, just get one order of fries. It’s enough to feed a Biafran Village for a week. Your kids will love the unlimited peanuts, assuming they have no allergies. If they do, don’t even go in.

After a lackluster and not so filling dinner at Family Meal, my boyfriend and I decided to get some real food at Five Guys. This location never disappoints. We got there 30 minutes before closing and the employees were all super friendly and didn’t act put out at all. Their burgers are always perfectly cooked and they are generous with the toppings. Their jalapeños are definitely fresh, they are the spiciest I’ve ever had! I fry portions are ridiculous, as noted by everyone else. Five Guys is absolutely the best burger spot in town. I think it’s way better than Burger Bach and Carytown Burgers.

Swoon Burger Gets 5 Stars Every couple of years I get a craving for a Five Guys experience and head to this location. It’s everything a tightly run business should be. Flash and Sass(with a good loud soundtrack) and a good product to back it up. Sure the beef isn’t grass-fed, but you can taste the quality of the meat. Everyone is always upbeat and friendly and they seem to genuinely care, which is really not typical at fast food places anymore.

This is what a burger should be. These chefs aren’t just fast food workers, they are artists. Each burger is artfully crafted to your liking in a quick an efficient manner. The ingredients don’t just awaken your palate, they celebrate it. The crunch of fresh lettuce, the sweet juice of ripe tomatoes and the warm, tender cut of beef blend together like a ballet of flavor just waiting to enter your eager mouth. Oh! And those delightful fries! Each piece a tender golden slice of heaven. If you prefer a little zest in your life, try the Cajun style. Playfully dusted with Old Bay and a variety of spices, it’s a treat you won’t want to miss out on.

Very good burgers and fries, especially for a QSR. The burgers are fresh, and are made to order, and even grilled in plain site. Toppings are always fresh(and FREE)! The standard burger is actually double patties, and the small burger is a single patty. Not only are the burgers good, but the fries are excellent! Hand cut, and fried fresh. The fry sizes are double or triple the normal size, so a regular is plenty for 2 people.

This place is great for a clean environment and quick tasty meal. My roommate(s) and I come here once or twice a month. The food is always consistent and good. Their grilled cheese sandwiches are pretty awesome as well if you’re ever not in a burger mood.

I could have sworn that I saw at least six guys working there when I went, but after leaving content with my lunch, I’ll let it slide. –Food: I got a Little Bacon Cheeseburger and an order of Little Cajun Fries. First, let me say that if these are«Little», I’m afraid to get a normal or a large one. I was pretty full after eating these, and the fries took me almost 10 or 15 minutes to eat alone. — Little Bacon Cheeseburger: More or less what you’d expect. Not too dripping with grease, but you can also tell they don’t use lean meat. Nor should they, it was delicious. — Little Cajun Fries: Cajun seasoning is delicious and I make it at home with spices and put it on fish, etc. I wish the fries were a little more crispy(and in fact I’d probably give Five Guys the fifth star had they been), but the seasoning was delicious. –Cost: I believe my bill came to about $ 8, although I don’t exactly recall. It’s a little expensive if you compare it to somewhere like McDonald’s, but ultimately the burgers taste better so I don’t mind spending a couple more dollars. –Atmosphere: The interior is much larger than the outside would lead you to believe. There are upwards of 20 tables and a nice waiting line stocked with free peanuts. –Service: Fast, courteous, and pleasant. –Overall: I realize it’s a chain, but Five Guys is delicious. Not somewhere you could justify eating at every day, but if you’re looking for a decent fast food burger, it gets my recommendation.

This burger is a level above your basic burger chain fare. The meat and buns are fresh, and every burger is cooked to order. The Cajun fries are really good. As other reviewers said, it’s gonna be messy, but oh so good. Four and a half stars.

I love 5 Guys, however this one is the worst I’ve been too. The cashier didn’t say anything to me from the time I walked into the restaurant to the time I was done paying. All the other 5 Guys I’ve been to, as soon as the door opens they greet you, when you leave they also say«Thank you, Come again». Needless to say I was vey unpleased, don’t get me wrong the food is amazing.

Sometimes nothing is better than a Five Guys burger. My «diet» secret is to get the little burger. This way you can splurge on fries… heehee! Cheers.

The hot dogs & burgers are delicious. I’m a toppings kind of gal and this place offers a whole bunch for free. Order your burger ALLTHEWAY and you get it with tomato, grilled onions, mustard, mayo, ketchup, pickles, grilled mushrooms… its delicious, but be prepared for a messy meal! Their fries are something else entirely. They aren’t that tasty(go to Burger Works for delicious fries) and they give you way too many of them! Order a small and you’ll get a bag full of limp, average fries. It seems like such a waste of food and they aren’t even that good to begin with! Maybe if enough of us ask for onion rings they will start selling onion rings. For now, just stick with a hot dog or hamburger.

I don’t know, man. Five Guys is generally good. Everyone knows that. The peanuts are a nice touch. This location has mofuckin’ birch beer and the hot dogs are just as good as the burgers. But the fries, they are troublesome. First of all, overrated. Second of all, there’s no point in getting the large size. They just end up dumping more fries in the bag. I had to dig my way through a pound of fries to reach my burger! Ridiculous!

Everyone I’ve met in Richmond asks me if I’ve tried this place. According to their wall, they’ve been voted best of places that sell burgers and fries. I also heard that their popularity is due to how«fresh» the burgers taste. Okay, I’ll bite. Dislikes: The price. I’m not a fan of a place that makes you order the sides separately. $ 2.89 for an order of fries? Granted they did give me a decent portion, but I could have done without it. Neutral: There are peanuts everywhere. I guess to help you feel like you’re getting more for your money, you can eat peanuts while you wait? Meh. Likes: They don’t make the burgers until you order it. They were fresh and delicious. You have to order the additions(grilled onions, mustard, bacon, etc.) and I love being able to customize my burger. The wait wasn’t that bad either. The location is large, the line was long, and I felt that it was a great atmosphere to hang out & eat with friends. Star Rating: I truly enjoyed eating here although I will say that I won’t be back at my own expense. I think it’s definitely worth a try just beware that you’re not going to pay«fast food joint» prices.

I have tried Five Guys once before and wasn’t very impressed. I thought I would give them another try since they are based on the east coast and I was traveling. Well, no surprise, tasteless mess, yuk! I ordered a hamburger, extra toasted bun and to please not wrap it in foil and smash it down as I have noticed before. Also order fries, extra crispy. Let’s put it this way, the fries were limp and soggy, not extra crispy and the hamburger bun was already soggy! They extra toasted the bun, as requested, but then, stupidly, put the sauted mushrooms on the bun, then the meat patty! Duh, what sogs bread, hot meat and sauted mushrooms. Maybe one of the Five Guys should get a clue to keep a bun from sogging out, you put the the hot items in between the lettuce, tomato and onion. I actually took the fries back and asked why they weren’t extra crispy. The girl that took my order said she forgot. I then asked the manager about their hamburgers, why no seasoning on the meat, soggy, etc. He said that’s just the way they do it and it’s been done that way from the beginning. I told him I was from California and used to good quality hamburgers with fresh crisp lettuce, tomato and a nice non soggy bun on In-N-Out burgers. You may not get as much meat patty, but what you get is DELICIOUS! I told him, Five Guys is gunna have a hard time cracking the California market where In-N-Out dominates. Then, one of his minion cooks says, «why don’t you go back to California?». I was so taken aback, I couldn’t believe the rudeness of this person and then the manager acted like he didn’t hear him. I don’t know what passes for Virginian hospitality, but you can have it and your tasteless horrible burgers at Five Guys! One a positive note, I did try the burgers at Shake Shack in DC and they were really good!

Just the best fast food burger around. I get insulted by people saying that The Cook Out has the best burger, when it is nowhere as flavorful, juicy, well prepared or loaded as the double bacon cheeseburger at Five Guys. The burgers are as good as it gets, and when you are able to choose all of you toppings, you find that the experience is, well, heavenly. Combine that amazing burger with the truck load of fries that they give you, and you will find me one happy camper. Yes. I did just say that. I mean, this food does stuff to you. Like make you happy. Really happy. So, don’t think. Go. Now. Run!

I’ve been a fan of Five Guys for years, since they started appearing in NoVa. When they arrived in RVA, I was overjoyed — I know that some here have compared the Five Guys experience to In and Out, and found The Guys lacking, but I can’t agree. On the fries front alone, there’s simply no competition. The Willow Lawn location gets my highest praise — the crew is always friendly, no matter what time of day, and the food is prepared by hand and with care. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is they don’t serve grass-fed beef — only burger chain I know of that does is Burger Lounge in SoCal. Once Five Guys has grass-fed, they’re 5-Star!
