It’s just ok. I’ll stop in for a bagel and coffee now and then, but I think there are better options nearby. Twice in one week, the bottom third of my cup of coffee was full of coffee grounds. I like strong coffee, but I don’t want to chew it. Bagels are ok, staff is ok, service tends to be slow. I also think it’s a bit pricey.

This location is not up to par with others in the Richmond area that I have been to. I walked in today on the first really cold day of fall, craving a bagel sandwich and hot drink. Luckily I had a coupon for a free egg sandwich with purchase of a drink. I told the first associate before I ordered about the coupon(it was a birthday coupon) and he very sarcastically told me, «Good for you, congratulations.» Rude. I ordered my sandwich and drink and went to pay. It was $ 4.20 with the coupon for the large chai tea alone. The sandwich came out quickly, however, the«barista» aka cashier took her time with my tea. There were no customers behind me so I’m not sure what she was doing. She finally handed it to me and it was very light feeling, as in the cup wasn’t full. I took it to the car and opened the lid — sure enough, it was only half full. HALF. For over $ 4 that is a little absurd. I took it back inside and very nicely explained that my drink wasn’t full and I felt for the price, it should be. That same cashier told me that it was because there was foam so … And left it open ended? I asked her to fill it up and she huffed and turned around. I watched her steam some milk and pour it into the cup. No extra tea or flavoring. My drink is terrible. For the price I could get a venti at Starbucks and I would know it would be right, and served with a good attitude. I recommend the location on Three Chopt for better service and quality. I will not be back to this Short Pump location.

This location is good but the one one Glenside near Patterson is better. What the hell is going on with the creepy picture of this lady when you check in here? My FB friends were like … Dude, we’d rather see a pic of a bagel!

They are just disgusting. They have no taste. And even when they do taste like something then it taste bad. I can’t believe people would go there to eat breakfast or a snack or lunch, every time I’ve been there it’s been horrible and I mean horrible, and not to mention that the restaurants are filthy. i wouldn’t even rate it a one but I had to rate it something to post it

I have always been a fan of Einstein bagels. Being from NY, they are the closest I could find. Today’s bagels were no different however there was a different problem. My daughter has an allergy to milk, not an intolerance, an allergy that causes her to break out in hives and causes her throat to close. As with everything we order for her that we are not sure of, I asked if the cinnamon sugar bagel had milk in it. Mike went back and checked to see and he said they were made in a facility that handles nuts, milk etc. This usually is not a problem so we went for it. 4 – 6 bites into the bagel my daughter starts to develop a rash on her face and out pop the hives. We rushed my daughter out to the car and broke out the Benadryl. Thank god her throat didn’t close and it was just the rash/hives. We caught it in time. I went back in and spoke to Mike again and asked to see the ingredient list. After a few minutes he pulls the list out and we read over it together. We see that the bagel indeed had milk in it. The first words out of his mouth were, do you want to file a grievance? I was shocked, no apology, just looking to cover his ass. My response was what? He repeated himself and asked if I wanted to file a grievance. At this point I’m just disgusted. I’m not looking for a handout, I’m not looking for anything, but an apology would have been nice. People need to understand, especially when handling other people’s food for a living that allergies are serious and just because a person doesn’t freak out when asking about the ingredients doesn’t mean it is not a serious situation and sometimes could be life threatening. All in all this morning the service was pretty terrible and my wife and I were commenting about that before my daughter broke out in hives. I will never again patronize this location and I hope the management/owners read this review. If another customer comes in asking about ingredients due to an allergy and you guys do not take it serious again, you could more than lose a customer but could possibly take a life.

I liked this place before — but I’ve realized that when they are busy, their service isn’t at par! We came here on Saturday at 11.30am and it was crowded — we ordered an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and a bagel sandwich! They messed up on the sandwich — didn’t get the order right and the everything bagel was COLD when I had asked for toasted and warm! When I requested to get it warmed up — it turned extremely chewy — felt like chewing gum! I have liked this place before when the crowd isn’t heavy and service is great but today was not one of those days and needless to say — my morning brunch wasn’t the best experience :(

This shop is one of the larger Einsteins with a spacious dining room. The staff is friendly. The place is clean.

I gotta hook this place up with a 4 rating because the dynamics between the people working there are just so quirky and entertaining, at least in my experience. It’s a real mix of personalities behind the counter. I was given a «senior discount» my first visit ironically because I was thought to have been a student. I’ll take it! I’ve had good experiences with my food and coffee at this Einstein’s. The place is really big with a lot of seating, and the line moves fast. I guess if I were to make any constructive criticisms it would be to tidy the place up a bit. Something about it feels a little worn out. Oh, and the coffee stirs/lids/sleeves should probably be in a more accessible place than the corner they’re in. Overall, I’d give this franchise an A.

I ordered Lox & Bagel on a Green Chile Bagel. When I went to pay, to my much surprise they are now charging me an extra 70 for the bagel. She didn’t say anything at the time of ordering as it would have given me a choice if I didn’t want to pay for the higher cost Bagel. It was not busy in the place, so it was not like she was rushed or in a hurry to get to the next customer. I was the customer… Because of this, I only give it 3 stars… The Lox & Bagel were OK… nothing exceptional which would want me to go back anytime soon.

Decent place. I ordered a blueberry bagel with an almond schmear. It was very, very sweet… like a dessert. I guess I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered it. I also asked for an «iced» chai tea latte. The server proceeded to tell me that it could not be made, but luckily, the 2nd server piped up. He said that it would be «his pleasure» to make the drink for me and he had such excellent customer service! Wow! The first server just shrugged her shoulders. Anyway, I wasn’t that impressed with the drink or the bagel with schmear. If I go back… perhaps I will try something different.
