Shortly after giving birth to my daughter, my husband arranged to get the driveway replaced to make it easier for me and the baby to get up and down the drive. Elvin took a 30% deposit and promised that he would have our drive completed within a week. Well, he came the next day, dug up our drive and said he would see us the following day. Well the following day came and two strange men showed up at my door saying they were here to pick up asphalt. Neither I nor my husband were told that these men would be coming by. They proceeded to take two small pieces of asphalt and left. We never saw Elvin again. He kept promising that he would be coming by to finish the job and would blame the weather even though it never rained the whole time-frame HE set to have the job completed. What is worse is the lack of integrity not only from taking our deposit and running but making it almost impossible for me and my newborn daughter to get out of the house for her much needed doctor’s appointments. If you receive a business card or a quote from this man, I implore you to think again.

Wow. Elvin«Chuck» McCray who runs this business is one rogue contractor. The kind who gives legitimate contractors a bad name. He provided a quote to install a new concrete driveway, patio and pathway at my house. The quote was ridiculously cheap so we signed a contract and paid 40% up front per his request. He showed up the following day with his bobcat and dug up my drive. He dumped the old asphalt on my front lawn. Next day he came by in the morning collected his bobcat and disappeared. I called and was told he would be back next day. No one showed, I called and told again someone would be there following day. Still no one. This went on for a week. I asked for a schedule on when someone would be at my property working. No response. Currently have civil legal action pending in order to recover the money paid. On top of this we had a newborn baby at the time, who he saw on multiple occasions with my wife. Yet he still decided to screw us. Just shows you the moral character of some people out there. Long story short avoid this company unless you want to loose your money. Attached is a pic of how Chuck McCray left the job site. I have a real class A contractor now set to come and finish this job and do it correctly. I learned the hard way. Never pay any money up front to a contractor. If you do, pay it into a bonded escrow account.
