This location is very popular being on campus. With that said, they operate pretty fast and the line is very manageable. This is just like any other Chipotle I’ve been too but I would recommend for something more on the healthy side and quick!

Since I don’t put beans or the sauce in my chipotle, I always asked for extra everything including steak into to fill in the bowl. It usually doesn’t bother me but today even with the extras, only 2⁄3 of my bowl was filled. It wasn’t worth the $ 11.

Chipotle has always had and still does have good food. That being said, I feel like this chipotle skimps me a lot, but it’s understandable because tons of people go here every day so I’m sure their demand is very high. I’ve just been skimped here too many times to leave satisfied :(

I love Chipotle, and I’m betting if you’re reading this as well then you’re more concerned about the location. To that extent, it would suit your needs as a walker, not so much as a driver. Quick Chipotle summary: delicious food, fast preparation, lots of drink options. This location in particular does, however, suffer from two problems: extreme parking shortage and unusually long lines due to it being located on a college campus. If you live close by, it’s worth it to come to this location, though if you’re at all further west or don’t mind driving, the one on West Broad street is a better choice both in terms of parking and line length. Still, Chipotle is awesome. Just avoid driving/parking here if you can. Overall: 3.5 stars — — — — — Pros: — Great chipotle food. — Awesome chipotle service. Cons: — Parking is almost nonexistent and shared with Panera as well, so good luck finding a place. — Lines tend to run longer here because of the VCU campus. — Seating is a bit cramped, though they did what they could given their small store size.

With probably 95% of its customers being VCU students, this Chipotle is one of the busiest locations I’ve been to. You can expect there to be a line pretty much anytime. Pros: Since there’s a constant stream of orders all the time, the ingredients are always fresh(you can see them cooking up a storm in the back). The cashiers are very friendly– mad props to them given how busy they always are. Cons: Oh my goodness the parking is so terrible it makes me dread coming here. IF you are lucky enough to find parking, hopefully it is a Smartcar you own because the spots are TINY. On nice days there’s a parking assistant(?) to help you with parking because that’s how cluttered it is. Also, because it’s so busy/loud in there, orders can often get messed up. Had to wait 10 minutes to get my tortilla on the side today. Warning: This shopping mall has homeless spies in the front that report you if you park your car and you aren’t a customer. Speaking from past experience, they WILL tow your car in a blink of an eye.

I love Chipotle more than anyone. And I’m not one to review chains as you usually know exactly what you’ll get, but this location is a complete disappointment. I received a smaller portion of chicken here than any chipotle I have ever been to. And the skimping on ingredients continued all the way through the line. When I got to the end, I was left with a bowl that was, at best, half the size of a normal chipotle bowl. Maybe even smaller. This is a busy college location, and finding a table at dinner was difficult. I think they realize they have a captive audience, so they are consciously short-changing college students. Very disappointing. The Chipotle brand is usually above such cheap business tactics.

the food is great! better than the chipotle i usually go to where the meat is always burnt! i rarely have that experience here. my only«complaint» is that there seems to be a lot of employee drama. i saw one of the employees rush out to cry in the bathroom.

The crew at this Chipotle are always working hard and always smiling, even though they’ve got to be one of the busiest locations around. Happy to have them close by!

This location is super busy with VCU students. The food is just like any other Chipotle but the portions seem to not be as big. I like the environment with this one being on a campus and seeing new faces all the time but I wish the servings were bigger

So I never knew chipotle had smaller tortillas for their burritos until today. Highly disappointed! They have smaller tortillas to make their portions look bigger when in fact you’re still getting robbed.

So maybe I crave Chipotle(…or indulge the food munster, aka my stomach) way too often, but I don’t care. Nopes, no siree, I don’t regret it at all. Every time I come here, I leave with a way-too-full feeling and still have about 30% of my food leftover for the next meal… or snack. Like others said, the lines can be long due to the swarming masses of hungry undergrads; however, the servers are swift and friendly. Ingredients are always fresh. The parking lot usually has good turnover but there are days when it gets too packed. An option is to park along Broad St. or Grace St. With a few extra tips for burrito bowl lovers, you might get a smidgen more of toppings than the usual. My pick: «BURRITOBOWL» — $ 7.40 incl tax Half/half brown & white rice Black beans Fajitas(aka bell peppers and onions) Half/half steak & barbacoa(tender and delish!) Mild + medium sauce Corn Sour cream Cheese Lettuce = perfection * you may request tortillas on the side * add on a smattering of chipotle sauce located next to the drinks and you’re golden For the vegetarians, there’s well-seasoned tofu called sofritas. Note: my understanding is that guac is free for non-sofritas vegetarian burritos.

After eating at Chipotles up and down the east coast, I can confidently say this is the worst of all the restaurants. I arrived at this Chipotle on Grace St, luckily to find a parking spot which is odd, but when I entered the line was approximately 25 people deep. After a lengthy wait, I place my usual order for my girlfriend and me: a burrito bowl with no rice double meat and fajitas for me and a bean and cheese burrito for my girlfriend. Her burrito came out the size of a dollar bill and my bowl ended up weighting in slightly more even with meat, guacamole, and salsas. When I asked for the server to beef it up a little I was just ignored … Not very characteristic of most chipotle’s I have experienced. Right as I could see the end of the line, movement stopped. The young lady in front of my payed with a gift card that was $ 0.35 short and was told they couldn’t run her debit card for an amount that small. Being in the middle of VCU, I suspect this girl was a college student and like most, doesn’t probably carry cash ever. This had both the cashier behind the counter and the young lady wide-eyed terrified as what to do. I also was to pay with a gift card so I took matters in my own hands and paid the remaining $ 0.35. Finally when I went to pay, I was charged for a full priced burrito instead of 2 sides as most other locations do when I have ordered a bean and cheese burrito. I simply paid to get out of there but this is a terribly managed, unfriendly restaurant that seems to be aimed at skimping college students out of their money. I usually think of Chipotle as a meal, but this place just gives you a snack sized version I’ll just drive to Carytown next time to go to the one in the closet near Ellwood Thompson’s

This Chipotle is located near the heart of Virginia Commonwealth University. Located on the intersection of Laurel and Grace streets offers VCU students the convenience of being able to grab a burrito/burrito bowl within walking distance of campus, which is amazing. A downfall for this location is the small parking lot. It’s ok for students that don’t have a car and love nearby, but for those who visit campus from time to time(like myself), it’s hard to find parking because it’s usually packed. Granted, there’s street parking around Chipotle, but even then street parking can be hard to find as well. Other than that, this is a really good Chipotle that has a friendly staff.

Let me start off by saying that this particular Chipotle is busy. Almost impossible to get in and out of the parking lot if you drive, long-ish waiting lines, and a busy atmosphere. You know what though? The food’s still good. –Food: I got my normal Chicken Burrito Bowl with black beans, white rice, and sour cream. The spice of the chicken is one of my favorite things about Chipotle and this location had fresh ingredients all around. Probably because of how busy it is. –Cost: Think about $ 6.50 for a Chicken Burrito Bowl. Not bad. I left full. –Atmosphere: One of the major downsides to this location(if you’re not walking) is its accessibility. The parking lot is small(about 24 spots for 3 buildings) and is situated around some One Way streets. When we were pulling out we actually had a parking lot staff directing traffic out. The interior looks a lot like other Chipotle; it’s simple, metallic, and it works. –Service: We came around 2:00PM and it was super busy. I will say that the line moved reasonably fast. At one point there was a culinary homicide on the food line and my bowl met its untimely demise and had to be re-made. They actually re-made it VERY quickly and it was back up on the line within about 25 seconds.(Since the staff was hurried, I actually got a bit more toppings than I normally would have received.) Staff wasn’t quite as nice and cheery as some of the other locations, but it was crazy busy in there and I’m not as nice when I’m crazy busy either, so it’s understandable. –Overall: Of the 3 Chipotle I’ve been to thus far in Richmond, this is my least favorite, solely based on how busy and rushed the location feels in comparison. The parking lot is terrible so walk if you can. The actual food though? Delicious. I’m a big Chipotle fan, and if I was walking by, I’d stop again. I’ll give this location a 3.5 and round up for the overall tastiness of the meal I consumed.

So I’ve realized that whenever I’m in Richmond to visit friends, I always end up eating here at least once. I always order the Bowl. Like standard Chipotle joints, it’s usually crowded but the line goes fairly quickly. So if you have more than a few minutes, definitely chow down here. The downside to this place is that because it’s on campus, they tend to run out of certain ingredients quickly which can add into the wait and can degrade the quality of what they serve. For example, they boast using local chicken and beef, but a lot of times they run out of chicken so they use cheaper ones and it ends up being bland and dry. Despite this, I’m still gonna end up eating here every time. at least until Cane’s is back open for the school year.

I frequent Chipotle quite a bit but this was my first time to this location. I got in right before the rush and it was only 1 person in line ahead of me. but the service still seemed to leave much to be desired. After I ordered they did not give me a tray for my salad… and since I was carrying other work papers I ended up dropping most of it on the floor… the staff was pretty stubborn about replacing my guacamole, but hey that’s $ 1.00+ buddy… give me my guac! haha! I would go back, but just not during their busy time, and I guess I need to be a little more proactive for what I need vs relying on their customer service.

This location is way too busy all the time. I ordered a margarita and had to wait 15 minutes for it because everyone working was underage and couldn’t make it. I was told they would bring it to me, but the manager ended up making it when I had to go back up to the busy counter to ask for it 10 mins later. Even he was clueless on how to make it! Parking lot is a mess. The food is sloppy. Go to the Chipotle in Carytown or Willow Lawn.

After having turned vegetarian, there’s one thing that I’ve come to notice/question. «Where the freak is there some fast food that I can indulge in to satisfy those ridiculous cravings for something simple, not so good for your health, VEGETARIAN, and yet really hits the spot???» Simple answer: Chipotle Here’s how I satisfy those once in a blue moon irresistible fast food cravings: 1) Walk into Chipotle and stand in line 2) Ask for a Veggie Bowl and a Tortilla on the side 3) Ask for Brown Rice, when they get ready to skimp on you, you give them the death stare. If they don’t give you more rice, put on a big smile: D and say«more rice please.» 4) Ask for the Fajita mix and black beans. *Pinto beans have bacon in them I believe 5) Ask for hot, mild, corn, lettuce(if you’re vegan), if you’re going vegetarian, then add some cheese and sour cream *If you like guacamole, get it. Comes free with the veggie bowl!!! Yea! Don’t have to pay $ 1.80 anymore ;) 6) Ask for water 7) Pay and then devour your food and be satisfied and super filled What I really enjoy the most about Chipotle though is the consistency. I always get the same EXACT taste no matter what. The ingredients are almost always fresh and hot due to the ridiculous amount of people coming and out. In addition to this, I never walk out of Chipotle feeling hungry. Décor in Chipotle is super simple, could be improved but whatevs, it’s fast food ;P

Favorite meal: chicken tacos(hard shell) with rice, black beans, cheese, guacamole and lettuce with a Negra Modello to wash it down. This location doesn’t skimp on portions like most others. Busy spot w/mostly VCU students for customers.
