I hate to give bad reviews but the lady at the register was very rude, I bought one thing and didn’t mind the .50cent charge but she wanted to make the purchase more difficult than needed. I walked out without my purchase because I didn’t have time for this lady’s bad attitude. Everything over price anyways so I won’t be coming back. Plenty of beauty supplies with the same products but for less, you guys should try the one at San Pablo or the one in Pinole lol my favorite is the one in Pittsburg

Five stars for the awesome staff in this store. As far as customer service skills go this store could train other stores. Five stars for the wide selection of available products. 0 stars for quality, 0 for pricing. I’ve been going to this store on and off for 10 years and I’m one who changes my looks often so when they didn’t have what I wanted I went on line.
I’ve bought 200 dollar «Brazilian» hair here that must have been from a malnourished woman because it matted in a week. Tried to return it and was told they can’t accept it since it’s been installed. I get that but I’m assuming if I pay that much for something there’s an implied contract that the product is a quality one. I went on line, paid the same price and have had that hair for 4 years.
I stayed away for a while but in the past few years I’ve been wearing natural hair and needed a wig to cover up my rats nest. Bought a 60 dollar unit out of desperation, the thing is matted and useless two weeks later. I think I’m done with this overpriced place now. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

Absolutely fantastic service! Perhaps, the best service I’ve received in a beauty supply establishment! I do not know how to exactly spell her name, but I’ll give it a shot! Her name is pronounced «Out-​a.» She was amazing! Extremely friendly, helpful, attentive and it was all genuine! The male staff there are sweethearts as well and helpful. This is now my beauty supply store of choice in the Pinole/​Richmond Area! Five stars all the way!

Do not spend your money here. I am a hair stylist and I frequent BSW in Richmond almost daily. I just witnessed an employee, I believe possibly a purchaser of wigs, yelling and cussing at another employee. He was so demeaning and unprofessional that I had to interject. I spoke up for the female employee, and he stopped yelling. She was in tears. This is not my first experience with someone rude in that store. I spoke with the main manager, Charles of BSW in Oakland, and he was not apologetic or even offered to investigate. All he said was that there was a manager in Richmond. If they treat their employees this way, what would prevent them treating the customers any differently. I will no longer support this business, and I will purchase my supplies elsewhere. They definitely won’t miss my money, but if enough people stop shopping there, then they would understand the importance of customer service.

I love this beauty supply not as good as the one on 43^rd but the employees are way more friendlier and more helpful here! Definitely one of my go-​to beauty supplies!

I dont get this place.
They answer their phone, ehhhhh, phone…(the girl yelled out)
Then another female gets on, I ask for the price. She says I cannot tell you until you get to the store. What?
Lame…They dont even deserve one star

Sorry BSW, you dropped another star with your phone service, or lack thereof. Unfortunately I don’t want to drive there just to see how much clippers cost. Unfortunately a phone call only resulted in a poor English refusal to give a simple price. Two other beauty supply places even closer, I’ll check them out instead.

Huge selection! This is one of those stores a girl could spend hours in. Good customer service but the neighborhood its located in is scary, try not to get shot…
They also have a huge selection of NYX makeup for pretty reasonable prices compared to another beauty store at 3288 Pierce.

Wow, I have never been so amazed by a beauty supply store.
Now I know that Sally’s is not all that but this doesn’t even come close to comparison… you are ever looking for hair, hair products or anything of that nature this really is the place to stop. The employees know about everything. And even if they don’t know they will reach above and beyond to find out for you.
They have some great deals as well. I can’t wait to go back and actually make my purchase, LoL!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I have been there two times this week, and they have everything you could ever imagine that would have ANYTHING to do with hair. OMGGGGG!!!
Super friendly, polite, and helpful staff that will take time to help you with anything, and answer any questions you have. If there isn’t parking in that little lot in the front– I have found easy parking on the street no problem. I think I have found my hair mecca! I was looking for Sally Beauty Supply– forget that place! I am SO GLAD I found Beauty Supply Warehouse. This place is AWESOME!
And I gotta say– being a white girl from Minnesota walking in this place– this was a pretty cool experience going here. I absolutely love it. Any kind of weave or hair extension, dyes, wigs, hair products… OMG. SO GREAT.
