AM Cleaning Services

I’m not sure why anybody has given this company any stars at all. If it was possible this company (or whatever it is) would get 3 tomatoes (and they’ll probably have a hard time cleaning that up). What a fraud! The manager or whoever answers the phone, i think her name was Brenda, is the most unprofessional person i have ever encountered. Save yourself the trouble and stay away… I was going to write just a brief review but i guess it makes it easier and better if the whole story is told. Here goes… I usually clean the house myself but i just thought, let me just give these guys a try, you never know. So i bought a groupon for a «deep» cleaning and called to schedule an appointment. The cleaning crew showed up 2 hours after the time window the lady (Brenda) had told me, only to do the shoddiest job ever.
I called Brenda a few hours later after i had inspected the place to report my findings. She asked me to send photos, which i did. She then offered to have a different crew come and do the job again. Mind you, the initial cleaning was on Thursday and we had agreed to have the crew come back a week after. This lady calls me back on Monday morning asking if the cleaning crew could come on Tuesday (next day) instead. I was quite confused about the request, plus i didn’t have the time to clear the area very well since i had some boxes out after the cleaning, so i proceeded to ask her why that request on such short notice. What she tells me made all this worse, and this is in her own words.“If we wait until Thursday it will be a whole total deep cleaning and i had wanted the crew to just do a spot cleaning”. First of all, whose fault was it that my house is still dirty, isn’t that what your crew is professionally trained to do? And to have the nerve and audacity to call 3 days before the scheduled date to tell me if they waited for another 3 days to do the job the house might gather more dirt and they’ll have to do a «deep» cleaning instead of a spot cleaning. The most annoying part too was that she was soo unprofessional and rude about it over the phone, I believe «whatever» was the last word she mumbled when i had told her there was no way i was going to agree to change the appointment. Needless to say i called groupon and reported the company and got a refund. I have pictures that i’ll try to post to show the obvious and conspicuous dirt and spills they missed.
I never ever write reviews but the public in the Richmond area need to know about this so nobody wastes their money and time on this company.

The first few visits were great and they had no problem cleaning around our 14 year old, grey muzzled arthritic dog. Suddenly they decided the dog looked vicious and quit cleaning the kitchen because he was in there. The owner was initially apologetic about skipping the kitchen and said she wanted to make it right, but after standing us up on the make up appointment, they came by to work unannounced 3 days later without permission or notice. She became defensive and rude and seemed more interested in casting blame or giving excuses then doing what they were paid to do. She had no explanation why the rest of the house was not properly cleaned either, even though our ‘vicious’ dog was no where in the vicinity.
