The Menagerie

For my dog Freebie, it was a pretty disruptive decision when Ellen left the Chicagoland area for eastern Washington state. For years, I’ve trusted Ellen implicitly with the care of my animals. She’s encyclopedic in her knowledge of pet care, and has steered me towards the best information on everything from raw diets to dog camping gear. If your dog needs some gentle guidance, Ellen has a positive and intuitive approach to behavioral training. But at the end of the day, the quality that matters most to me is reliability: Ellen is always where she says she’ll be, when she says she’ll be there. If I’m gone for a week, I know my pets are being walked, fed, cared for, and given the same amount of attention that they expect from me. And my house is usually in BETTER shape than I left it!

Ellen, the owner, is incredibly friendly and knowledgable. She’s incredibly observant about the health and behavior of my animals when she sees them, and has frequently helped me determine whether medical care could possibly be needed if I’m concerned about something.
Between her vast experience working on farms, at humane societies and vet clinics, and in dog behavior, she can handle anything your furry friends might need!
