I really wanted to like this place. Wanted to overlook the uncommunicative host and musty smell to the room. Beds were comfortable enough, after all. But truth is that we paid too much for what we got. Host seemed uninterested in us and lacked any info on local events(no idea there were fireworks that night). Hot water slow to show up on the shower. And the kicker was the ice. Having read previous reviews of this motel, I took the owner at his word(«would have been happy to give you se extra ice if only you had asked») and sent my son to ask for some ice(beyond the two little trays in our room). He was told that the trays we had would have to suffice. I want to support independent older motels — but they do require owners who are truly hospitable.

The room was cute 70’s charm but there were crumbs around the bed and the shower head leaked and sprayed the ceiling outside the tub and the owners were not friendly at all and the guy wound up double charging my credit card. For a Columbus day weekend, only three rooms were booked and we had a king reserved only to be told, the heat is not working and we had to take a double bed room. He claims going from a king to a double is an upgrade for the same price, I don’t think so pal, my girl and I wanted a King. Please don’t try to say the place was busy, three cars in the lot all night, thats including mine. You did not seem to care when we commented about the crazy leaky shower head and you did double charge my credit card, I had to call the credit card company.
