Park Place Doors and Windows

So I signed up to Unilocal just to give this place a review as I think others should know what happened. I needed all my back windows done and one in my bathroom. I looked at Unilocal and this place had good reviews as well as Dallas Energy Efficient Products, so I got a quote from both places. They both seemed about comparable, the Dallas Energy Efficient place was a little more, so I decided to go with this company.
First of all they got the order wrong and my bathroom window didn’t come in on time. They also didn’t get the tampered windows, which are required. When they were installing them I noticed that it didnt have the specific label on it and asked if it was tampered. the workers initially said yes, but I knew it wasnt because when the Dallas company gave me a quote he told me that I was required to have tampered windows, and they showed me the labeling on the windows. When I asked Amy from Park Place about it, we went round and round because she told me that her installers were experts and should know if it was tampered, and she thought she ordered tampered window. Then she said that it wasn’t required by the city anyways, which I knew it was because I looked it up. so I insisted on getting it corrected. They finally got it in and my husband noticed that the window was kinda jammed. He and our friend had to push it down in order to correctly shut it. I called them again and did not get a response! We were calling like 3 times a week for a couple of weeks. Then about 1 ½ months later when my husband decided to left a message we were calling the better business bureau, we got a reply back. They came to our house and said yes the window was not the correct size and we needed a new window, and they would get a new one. That has been about 3 months ago. They didn’t return our calls, we didn’t get s new window, nothing!!! I am going to call the BBB.
What got me wanting to give this review is because our best friend redid his Richardson home last year and was working with a contractor. He decided to get new windows and called his contractor up and she recommended this place. I was shocked, I honestly think this place was out of business or going belly up because of their lack of replies and how they didn’t finish our window. Needless to say he won’t be using this company, as I showed him our window.
We started our window orders in January, it took a while to get them in, and in the end we still have a window that’s not functional. they were not professional or knowledgeable regarding windows, as they were giving me incorrect information, or changing their story throughout the process.
I want to make sure other people know not to spend their hard earned money on this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It’s a lemon in my book.

i was interested in new windows for quite some time and the extremely high a/​c bills finally convinced me to start looking around for a reputable company. Several people I knew and one family member had recommended Park Place Doors and Windows in Richardson… I chose them over other companies located here in Austin.
I now have all brand new beautiful windows… and just the savings on my a/​c bills will pay for the windows quickly…
Can’t wait till this fall when I get new doors…

I was referred to their sales rep John Allen by a family member after I got quotes from the Big Box guys. John and Park Place blew me away with product knowledge, the level of service, and a flawless installation. The whole process was absolutely painless.
Halfway through my installation today, John stopped by to check in, and all was well. The installers didn’t leave a single trace of their presence. Sales and service are top-​notch all around. I highly recommend these guys!

Wow let me first say what a difference new windows make !!!
Plus dealing with a great company doesn’t hurt either, They answered all of my questions (and i had alot) without making me feel stupid in any way.
I knew i was in great hands.
The guys who installed the windows were on time, fast and efficient they cleaned up so well after you couldn’t tell they had been there. (huge plus for me).
Would defiantly use this company again and have no problem recommending them to my family and friends.
