Craving satisfied. I had a wicked craving for Indian food. My boyfriend and I looked on Unilocal and decided to give this one a spin. We happened to be there on a day that included their dinner buffet. Good variety and reminiscent of street food… Which is a good thing!

$ 8.99 lunch buffets on Weekdays(except on Monday when they have Specials) have a few selections but most of them are good. Their Chicken Kabob and Madras soup are fantastic! The goat curry and veggie choices are good as well.

Yummy Indian buffet. Don’t let the outside scare you off. Walking in is like Dorothy stepping into Oz. The inside is beautiful and the buffet is bigger than it looks with a great selection. There are always vegetarian options, but the curry meatballs are so good I can never resist. If you like Indian food you should not miss out and definitely add this to your rotation. Each time we eat here I wonder why we don’t come more often.

This buffett has quite a bit for the size. Delicious selections lots of vegetable curries, spinach paneer, mango custard, chicken Tikka masala and other staples. Yummy bone in goat curry. I really liked their salad dressings, tamarind chutney, mint chutney very tasty. This is my favorite indian buffett in Dallas. Byob! They have week night buffet also!!!

OHYEAH! Indian Hot me baby! Love the food, the service, the price and location. I will certainly come back when I get a chance. It is hard to find this quality Indian restaurant in Texas. Go for the recommend combo platters. They have have the most favorite items and so complete.

I am giving this two stars because the service was great. The lunch buffet however was very lacking. The food mostly tasteless. The naan is prepared in advance and does not taste fresh. The chicken tikka was almost flavorless. There is only a few items on the buffet. I have frequented 5 indian buffets in the area and have found this one the lowest in taste and food quality. In addition go this my significant other started vomiting after eating. While I cannot say this is due to the food its an awfully big coincidence. To the owners: having your wait staff stand around and stare at patrons is uncomfortable. Wait staff should be mostly transparent. I would recommend visiting the other restaurants for new ideas on the recipes.

The food was delicious and service was prompt. The lunch buffet has a selection of vegetarian and meat options. Note: parking gets a little crazy in the lot

A nice haunt close-ish to UTD. Eats: chicken mushroom chicken tikka masala garlic naan malai kofta saag paneer The chicken tikka masala sauce is the best I’ve ever had. It is always the first sauce to go. Tastes especially great with garlic naan. I mean, why get regular naan when you can get garlic naan? Obviously. I especially enjoy the saag paneer here because you can see/taste the spinach. Not that I mind the creamier variety entirely, this just seems«healthier.»(I know it’s not that healthy. Leave me be.)

Came here for dinner kind of late(like 9PM) but they were still kind enough to feed us! Our party was on the bigger side so we definitely ordered plenty of dishes including naan(regular and garlic), beef vindaloo, a lamb mushroom dish, etc. Garlic naan was interesting with their orange toppings. I think I prefer their regular naan more. They definitely provide you with enough rice. My favorite dish of the night was their lamb mushroom plate which the spices and the softness of the meat were done just right. I would be careful with the spiciness level because they don’t kid around. Their mango with yogurt drink was also delicious! The drink disappeared before the appetizers even came out. Overall, had a good time here and my Indian food cravings were satisfied.

Went to Mumtaz(Monday) for lunch. Arrived 1130am lots of seating and the staff was nice. Got the buffet. I’m not much of a meat eater, so I tasted all the sauces/gravies to decide what I wanted. The spinach/paneer dish was very tasty and the sauce on the tikka masala was soooo delish! I got some of the spinach dish as well as rice smothered in that tikka masala gravy and some hot, fresh naan. That’s all I need to be happy! Loved it. Will go back, for sure!

This is … Indian restaurant that is suited for people who can’t handle the flavor of real Indian food. Price is great but food missing flavor :(

If you need an affordable belly full of good Indian food, this is your place. I come here for lunch and absolutely chow down every time. The meats are great and the sauces are authentic and filled with spices. Also, their desserts are great. For a local one dollar sign restaurant, it’s also got a nice atmosphere. It feels cozy without being overcrowded and clean.

Never actually tried the food because of their ineffective online ordering system. Everything went smoothly in placing the order. Original ETA for delivery came and went, and when contacted to understand what’s going on indicated my order would be received until almost 2.5hrs from when I originally placed the order. Crazy! They need to fix this process to maintain positive customer experiences. Undecided if I’ll actually try it again…

This was my first time to ever try Indian food! This is a little hole in the wall place that has a beautiful atmosphere to it! The paintings and décor are so unique and fun! The staff here was wonderful! I have a 2 yo and they were so kid friendly and kind, they actually placed a table cloth under his high chair to help with the mess a toddler tends to make. I have never seen anyone do that and I thought it was genius! The buffet option is a little on the smaller side, but the food sure was flavorful! My favorite part of the meal was the mango pudding, it is a must try!

So this was my 1st time for Indian food. And I really liked it. There was enough choices @ the buffet that made me feel I was able to try enough different foods to satisfy me. And it was priced well to me. My favorite was the chicken tikka masala, nan bread, rice and cucumber salad. I feel like I ate tons of it. Nan bread always came out fresh and fluffy. I’m not sure if your supposed to eat it this way but I would make like a taco with all those ingredients. Excellent! I live far away from here but looks like the Monday buffet price is awesome for what you get. I was happy with my lunch.

This was the very first place where I tried Indian food and it’s still my favorite!(And I’ve had and made a lot of Indian food since then). If you are trying Indian food for the first time, try their tikka masala, it rocks! Also try their garlic naan. On certain days they have a buffet so you can try different menu options. They don’t deliver but they work with different online delivery services.(I don’t know which ones, but I saw them pick up one night that I was eating there) I’m starting to crave them right now… See you there at dinner!

We swung by this place to talk to Kulwinder(«Kevin») about catering for our wedding. I thought of Mumtaz because they did a fantastic job at one of my friends’ pre-wedding parties. Our consultation was really professional and Kevin was so easy to work with in getting our menu nailed down. He also gave us a reasonable price and is going to do on-site tandoor services for us. Their food is pretty tasty, albeit rich. But we are talking about wedding food here, so I’m not complaining about the richness. They do meat and vegetarian options, which I’m sure our guests will appreciate. And, they brought us out garlic naan to taste and probably 10 cups of chai. I never drink chai and I probably had about 4 cups during our consultation. The chai here is so good that we are including it in our wedding menu. Also, Kevin was receptive to my food allergies and was very open about their cooking methods to help me determine the foods I can and cannot have. I’ve never come here to eat for lunch, so cannot attest to the day-to-day quality. I can attest to their catering quality and it is very good.

The lunch buffet isn’t huge but it has everything that you’ll crave at an incredible price(9 bucks). Most of their dishes were chicken, but they were all tender, drowning in their respected curries and sauces. The goat in the goat biryani for me was a little tough, but I still kept eating it like it was going out of style. The gulab jamun(ultra-sweet dessert spongey, ball thing) is my favorite thing ever. I’m not sure who, other than Chuck Norris of course, can eat more than one without killing over. I’ll crave it and then eat a little bite and then remember that I don’t want diabettus. It’s so good though. Please don’t ever take it away from me.
