This place fits the definition of «alright». The fries we ordered were nothing special. The drinks selection is all right. The place is pretty large but kind of dark and musty, and smells of smoke from their available Hookah. The owners are very friendly and polite, although their English isn’t perfect. The food quality us fairly good, but the prices are a bit high for the portion. They should be about 15−20% less than they are now for a decently priced meal. The shisk tawook was cooked very well, but the wrap was notably small for $ 6.50 without combo, and the onions inside were not cooked fully. The chicken philly had flavor but again the portions were not enough for $ 6.50, the same goes for the steak. The only well priced item is the soda at $ 1.09 which is better than the $ 1.50+ minimum at most every restuarant in the area. This place could use a decent overhaul, but for a mom n’ pop place its doing decent enough.

Friendly Syrian guy with his Lebanese wife runs this place, offering basic Middle Eastern and American bites(the menu is small and there’s not much in what they have to offer). Lentil soup was spicy and had flavorful broth even though the vegetables were bland, possibly because it was boiled into the soup too long. Shish tawook(chicken) was spicy(and even more so than the soup) and on top of plain white basmati rice. There’s no vermicelli, almonds, or any other flavoring in the rice. The spicy tawook wasn’t traditional since I’ve never had it as spicy as this place made it in any other place but I do have to admit that the chicken pieces itself were perfectly tender and juicy. Scrap some of the spices off onto the rice, to create a balanced flavor profile and to lessen the spiciness — but having to do this takes away the charm of appreciating good cooking as is. I do must have to say though that the hummus(topped with 7 spices) and the tabbouli were both among the freshest and the perfect batch I’ve had so far in Dallas. So if I do come back again, I’d probably stick with the mezzes(tapas or small plates). If I was going to go big, I would try out the kafta kabobs and try to get the rice to be swapped for something else. I skipped dessert, which is baklava. They also have argile/hookah here, so that’s cool. Prices: Good Atmosphere: Plain Parking: Lot

OMG, I have not seen a place more disgusting than this. Filthy, dirty. I don’t know how sanitary inspection let’s this place be open. Yuck, you gotta see it to believe it.

Got the chicken tawook wrap, and it was delicious! Good food, cheap, reasonable portions, and free fries and drink during Ramadan!

Great local spot for Gyro’s and Kabobs! The food tastes super fresh and the service was excellent. I will be back many times to try other dishes. The hot tea & food was made to order and done quickly. There was no wait on a Wednesday night.

You may be tempted to judge this place for its dark and messy look, but would you judge a novelist for the amount of clutter on his desk? No. No you would not. I ordered the Grand Burger combo and it was amazing. The ingredients are fresh, the meat is juicy, and the«hot sauce», though not at all spicy, added a uniquely Mediterranean flavor that I really liked. Eating slowly is a concept I generally abide by, but good lord: that thing did not leave my hands from the first to the last bite. The owner is very friendly and works hard to please his customers. The whole meal cost me about eight bucks. This is the sort of place I like to support and I will definitely be coming back soon.

Love this place for the last 10+ years. Whenever we used to visit the area I used make a point to come here. Now that we live in the area it is on our list of regular places to order from(mostly to go). The price is really reasonable. The grand burger is everything you want a burger to be: fresh, tasty, and unpretentious. If you come during lunch you get fries + soda for free! Menu wise, the only addition I would like to see is chicken strips instead of chicken nuggets for kids, I wouldn’t mind paying extra for that. The décor is nothing to rave about and I don’t like the hookah smoke but as we generally take it home these are non-issues for us.

Unilocal once again didn’t fail me. The chicken tawook platter was excellent and fresh. The traditional lentil vegetable soup was delicious and spicy. The hummus was creamy and delicious. Falafal was crunchy and flavorful.

The actual ‘ambiance’ of this place is pretty nasty but the food is really good. I have a gyro and the meat was pretty tasty.

Such yummy food! Best falafel we’ve ever had! The chicken kabob, beef kabob, hummus and tabouli were also really great. The owners were really sweet and helpful. The only tiny minus is that they use plastic utensils and styrofoam plates… kinda takes away from how special the food is.

Fresh, tasty Mediterranean sandwiches and dishes along with halal burgers and philly cheesesteaks. They’ve been here forever with the same owner who cooks everything himself. He is very sweet and welcoming. The Shish tawook is my fave. I tend to forget about this place but will try to come back more often. The platters are a good deal because you get soup, tabouli, rice, hummus, and pita with the main dish. I love supporting small, local businesses and that’s exactly what this place is!

The falafel is delicious! There was a lightness about it that I haven’t had at other places. The French fries were tasty and I will definitely be back.

Philly Chicken Sandwich with hot sauce is dynamite! The french fries were also very fresh. Don’t let the décor fool you — this place is GOLD. The customer service is top notch! Wishing there were more places like Grand Café!

Interesting hole in the wall: doesn’t look like much, almost turned around and walk out in fact but the owner is so darn friendly I stayed. Ordered my absolute favorite: Shawarma sandwich. It tests whether they truly make it all here as the owner said or if they bring it in and just heat-n-serve. All I can say is wow! This is a darn good sandwich: wish I ordered the large instead of the small. I tried the lentil soup: undercooked for my taste. I tried the hummus: yum, not chalky at all. Tabboulli was a little oily but tasty. I’ll definitely be back to try more.

This is some of the freshest food that I have had prepared for us in Richardson. She got the falafel plate — and it MORE than filled her(and myself) up. Great, friendly owner/proprietor that puts love into the food that he serves to the public. I’ll be back many times!

I am only rating on what I got and not on anything else. I ordered the Falafel sandwich, shaped like a sub but wrapped in a thin pita? Anyways it was different and not the same as I had before. I am used to it being in a pita bread and shaped like a half moon. The taste was alright not as strong or spicy. The owner was really generous, explaining numerous times that their lunch special is really good. Other then that I came here for a quick grab so it fulfilled my purpose.
