Dr. Downey is the best of the best! He does not pressure you into anything, and is super attentive. His bedside manner is great! I am currently 35 weeks pregnant with my second child. After a HORRIBLE labor and delivery experience with my first baby (different doctor) I was super picky when choosing an OBGYN. I can only say that I wish I would have lived in this area while pregnant with my first. I would have loved for Dr. Downey to have been my doctor, and delivered her. He is also very natural friendly! He is wonderful for those mammas who want to take a more natural approach to childbirth. I highly recommend him to anybody who is looking. As my due date approaches, I can honestly say that I am not nervous. I feel so comfortable knowing my baby and I are in Dr. Downey’s hands!

Dr. Downey is simply the best, very honest, knowledgeable, down to earth, very matter or fact. I delivered my 3^rd child with him and I wish I had found him sooner. I had a vbac and everything went smooth. I can not express my gratitude and my love for this practice. His staff is always friendly and polite, wait time was always less than 10 min. I was interviewing one more doc for a vbac and thank the heavens the appt went very wrong at the other doc because I don’t think my vbac would’ve been possible without dr. Downey!

I recently had my annual well-​woman visit with Dr. Downey; I was impressed with his competence, knowledge and bedside manner. He didn’t try to push birth control pills on me and was very easy-​going and matter-​of-​fact.
Everyone on his staff was sweet and polite.
I’ve tried for years to find a OB/​GYN who had the right mix of medical knowledge, good bedside manner and hands-​off attitude, and have had particularly poor luck finding medical providers I like here in Dallas. But I definitely plan on seeing Dr. Downey again for my annual check-​ups as well as for my OB when I plan on starting a family.
