There aren’t many employees around, so you sometimes have to approach the cashier with a question, but I find that people working here know their stock fairly well. They’re very nice and helpful. Locating this office supply store within minutes of several office buildings makes sense, even more so because of the handy parking lot out front and a variety of places where you can pick up lunch. Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t get used to the store’s interior lighting which casts a mild gray tint on products when the sun isn’t streaming in.

This store is consistently horrible. The staff is low energy and unhelpful. A man named Balu was working during my latest visit to purchase office supplies. His energy mirrored a concentration-camp victim. He was beyond lazy, I would say lethargic. On two occasions, I asked him if he had items in stock. The first time, he literally didn’t say a word and raised his arm towards an aisle. He didn’t even put forth the energy to actually POINT, just raised his hand. I stared at him, waiting for him to say something, but it never came. After his hand-raise, he simply turned around and walked away. Literally, NOTONEWORDUTTERED. Completely unhelpful. The second time I asked for a certain kind of tape. He muttered«if you didn’t see it, we don’t have it.» I told him that in my opinion, I had a poor customer service experience. He was very nice and apologized. I type this review as I stand in an 8 person line that’s moving slower than the DMV. Understaffed. Unless it’s an absolute emergency, I will never return to this dying store again.

Staff is always super friendly and warm especially those on the small computer repair department, the main retail area of the store is well maintained and well stocked. :)

Staples is a welcomed addition to the plaza America shopping center. I prefer it over Office Depot which has next to no parking. The store over all is very clean and everyone inside is very friendly. It is my go to office supply for work.

That was easy. Well, mostly. I needed a new case and screen cover for my iPhone and decided that, since it is such a nice day out and things at the office were quiet due to the federal«holiday» and shutdown, I’d walk down to Staples. I’ve shopped here a few times and the employees here are super-nice and this Staples does a good job of keeping their supply stocked. I’ve used their print services in the past and they’ve also been spot on and delivered as promised. On this trip I found an ample selection of iPhone cases and the standard screen protectors. At checkout, the cashier apologized for the wait, which consisted of one person in front of me at line. That was easy. What was not easy was putting on the f&$*%@*! screen cover on my iPhone. The combination of being somewhat of a perfectionist and not being very precise with my hands made that the longest and most frustrating 90 minutes of my life! And I already chipped the case because I’m a klutz. But, of course, I don’t blame Staples or the product manufacturers for my ineptitude. I blame my parents.

My computer got infected with a nasty virus and after calling around and not being able to find anyone willing to even pick up the phone, I turned to Staples for help. They were great. The store IT guy(Jonathan) took the time to ask me what was going on; asking me some questions; told me what he thought was happening and gave me a clear, non-BS estimate for repair costs and timeframe. They said I’d get the machine back Monday. it was actually ready the same day(though I picked it up the next day). Don’t waste your time with the Geeks, or some small mom and pop outfit. Go to these guys(and they do most of their repairs in-house). FInding someone who does what they say they’ll do is simply amazing in this day and age. Kuds to the Reston Staples staff.

Kiara, at the Staples Copy & Print Center, could not have been in a worse mood or have shown less ambition or initiative. I needed to look into the time and price for a quick print job that I needed same day. I was told their print center was«backed-up». Fine, not a problem; but I should think I should THEN be offered solutions to help satisfy my needs. Instead, I had to ask very specific probing questions, such as «Can you send my file to another Staples Print Center that isn’t so busy, so I can pick it up there?» To which I got, «I guess.?» I certainly understand Kiara may not want to be working where she is, but she is working, and she does have responsibilities she asked to be signed up for, such as, customer service.
