NKD Pizza

I decided to try Naked Pizza late one Saturday night on the way home from the Kennedy Center and was pleased to find that this location was open until midnight. I ordered a custom pie (pepperoni, sausage, peppers and onions). The service during pick up was great, and the pie smelled awesome during the drive home. Upon opening the box, I really thought that the pie looked great; the taste was ok. Not bad, but not fantastic either. The crust does need some work (in terms of taste. The flavor is a little off). I’m not sure if my taste buds are wreaked from all the processed pizza I’ve consumed over the years, but I was not overwhelmingly impressed by this pie.

WORST SERVICE EVER. Waited 20 minutes, no other guests were in the store. Then, the «owner» Dave, blew up on me, walked towards me with fists, and told me to «get the fuck out»
He had no respect for me, eat here if you’d like to be mistreated.
He even spoke badly about an employee over the phone, swore like there was no tomorrow around myself and my girlfriend. VERY unprofessional.
If only I could post with 0 stars.

I’ve probably ordered from here 10 times and never once have they gotten my order 100% right. Usually it’s just a topping missing here or there, though once they did manage to forget to put cheese in my calzone. It’s decent pizza though, and at least feels a little healthier than ordering from elsewhere.
Update: down to 1 star. Ordered again given the managers response. Ordered chicken strips with an extra ranch, received no ranch or any other dipping sauces. If you’re gonna message back it up.

I Have been given numerous discounts by this place, yet I have gotten food poisoning twice at the cause of their pizza. I really would not recommend if you have a sensitive stomach. It may be healthy, but it definitely will not make you feel good.

Update: I didn’t WANT to order from this place again but… The chicken pesto pizza and cinnamon rolls really are that good. So I went into the store to pick up because I didn’t trust their delivery. The manager was really nice and said he was working to improve delivery. Cool. Decided to give them another chance. I ordered wings and cinnamon swirls. The wings were great. The cinnamon swirls were burnt to a crisp. I called for a refund, but I was pissed they’d even sent them. I was trying to ween myself off this place, but now I’m addicted to the wings. So, the food is legit good. The customer service seems to still be working out kinks. Everyone is really nice, but it’s just not on point.
Original: The pizza is good. BUT it arrived 1 hr and 10 mins after I ordered when I was quoted 35 mins. I was pissed and even more bitter about paying the driver a tip. I always tip in this situation because I don’t know that it’s the driver’s fault (could be the store’s). The manager should have offered me a refund given how late the pizza was, so I will never order from them again.

This is not your normal pizza. I understand that they use a special grain crust and wholesome ingredients, but the end product just wasn’t right for me. The issues are the crust and the sauce (regular tomato sauce), which are the most important parts of the pizza.
Everything else was perfectly fine: no problems with the toppings, the guy that took my order was friendly and cool, and the store was bright and had a nice clean design. I like the brand, but not the core product.
The crust smells and tastes very different from what I’m used to (NY style and other chains). Maybe it’s my unfamiliarity to multigrain crust or the other grains giving the crust a different flavor and texture.
The sauce was very tomato-​y. Like unusually over the top with tomato flavor. They don’t use tomato paste, but it tasted that concentrated. So when you get a bite with more sauce than other bites, the taste overwhelms the taste of the other ingredients.
Honesty, I would prefer Dominoes and Pizza Hut at the moment. There seem to be a lot of people who like this «health» pizza, but right now, I am not one of them.

As far as delivery pizza goes, this is by far your best choice in Reston. Quality ingredients, quick delivery, and tasty. Our favorite is the five cheese.
They used to have a good buffalo chicken pizza, but have recently pulled that off the menu.

Tried to order online & website fucked it up. So called in order and person on phone fucked it up. Got billed for BOTH orders !
To make matters WORSE, the pizza SUCKED !
Thin FROZEN crust. Skimpy on toppings. Flavorless like cardboard.
HOWEVER, the delivery guy was excellent.
Seriously, is there ANYWHERE in Reston that has halfway decent pizza ???
I wouldn’t feed this to a dog.

Gosh, I’d like to give a great review, but it’s not possible. The think is, I’m in a healthy kick and have been eating for my blood type. This spot checked all the boxes and I should be excited, but nothing tastes better than fat:(and white flour. I ordered the chicken pesto! It was wonderful and the service was great. Tasted very clean and I felt good about eating guilt-​free.

We now know why it’s called Naked Pizza!!!
This is absolutely in no way pizza! We ordered two pies to be delivered one which was a margarita add sun-​dried tomatoes and the second pie was the omnivore– «meat lovers pizza!» My margarita pizza had zero regular tomatoes and no visible basil, I only saw a few scattered burnt sun-​dried tomatoes on the pie. The omnivore looked a bit better but both had absolutely ZERO taste it was NAKED of taste except for the crust which we detected a bit of grain taste!
Highly recommend not to try this place unless you are craving grainy cardboard!

Naked Pizza Was Great. Everything Tasted Good. We had the Ragin’Cajun, per the suggestion of the employee.

My brother and I wanted pizza similar to &pizza, but were hesitant to make it out to DC for that go-​to pizza. We checked Unilocal and to our surprise, we learned of Naked Pizza.
Let’s discuss the management: so nice! So welcoming! I walked in and Bryan the manager was encouraging my brother and I to take advantage of the Unilocal deals, while also recommending the different pizzas we could try. The one we decided upon is the prima: black beans, chicken, jalapeños, and smoked mozzarella. The team was nice enough to keep chicken on half of the pizza to accommodate to my veggie habits.
My brother insisted on a ⁴⁄₅ only because he found it to be overboard in jalapeños. Regardless, we were both really impressed and see ourselves coming back. Go here! Also a good escape from the busy nature of Reston Town Center

Best pizza I have had in a long time! Most definitely will be returning! They have themselves a new regular! Delicious!

Consistently good– great option for GV/​vegan pizza: Gluten free crust and Daiya cheese yum!!! Lot’s of great veggie toppings as well.
Great service for delivery or pick up.

This place is awesome. Ever get that gross, bloated feeling after eating pizza? Well, I never get it here. They somehow formulate the ingredients to make pizza-​eating both enjoyable and feel good. They are delicious and fresh-​tasting, too.
I’ve tried and loved probably about half of their specialty pizzas. I order the default, original crust. Some of my favorites are the superbiotic, omnivore, and margherita. The only one I didn’t like was the chicken pesto, because the balsamic didn’t go well with it to me. By the way, they always give coupons with your previous order, via email, and/​or online (like on Unilocal), so make sure you check for discounts before ordering!

I really like Naked Pizza! All their meats are antibiotic and hormone free, they have a great «skinny ancestral blend» crust and all sorts of different veggie and cheese options; you can create your own or go with one of their pre-​fab selections. They also have salads, wings and cheesy bread (which is basically a pizza unto itself). They are my go to for pizza delivery if I am stuck working through lunch. Thanks to the Eat24 Ap and their accurate delivery time I always know how long it will be before they get here.

So now I just compare every pizza place to &pizza and this does not compare. This was good but compared to &Pizza, the toppings here are $ 1 or so for every topping added if you’re making your own. There’s little to no seating here and the location could be better. This place could do better at a different place. I love the fact it is healthy and the menu is readable.
The boyfriend and I always get a cheese pizza with green peps and pepperoni. This I would compare it to like Firenza but 10x better. I think this place has so much potential. Overall this place is good. The cheesy bread was not as cheesy as I was expecting but still very good with the marinara sauce.
This place needed like a water or soda fountain because if you’re eating here, be prepared to buy a water bottle if you want to eat at this location.

I would highly recommend the gluten-​free pizza crust. We ordered a classic mozzarella cheese pizza, and it was very yummy. We ordered at the store, so I knew it was made fresh to our order. We drove home to eat it, it stayed warm for longer than 10 minutes.
