Sadly I’m going to lean towards agreement with the previous two reviewers. I had high hopes for this place as I work in the RTC and convenience isn’t lost on me. However, when I saw their pricing I nearly bailed on even giving it a try. Thankfully they had a 1st time customer offer for $ 10 off. But even with that it was $ 35 plus tip. I normally get my haircut at a local barbershop for $ 15…every 3 – 4 weeks. Imagine trying to keep up that pace at $ 45 a clip. No thanks. As for the haircut itself, that was fine. I can’t recall the young lady’s name, but she was very friendly, knowledgeable and did a fine job. Worth $ 45? Not at all. How could it possibly be… I’m a dude with short hair. This is Reston VA, not Rodeo Dr or Park Ave. I have see the smoker standing in front on numerous occasions. As the other reviewer noted, it’s just not a good look. If you’re trying to project and charge like an upscale business, maybe the smoking would be better done outside the back door. Just my opinion. If prices come down 40−50% I’ll be back. Otherwise, it just isn’t for me.

I went here thinking it might be a cool experience. I recently noticed they opened up so I figured I would try it out. As I’m walking up to the place I notice the king of leon front man standing outside the establishment smoking a cigarette– Picture a quintesential hipster– skinny jeans, boots, tight flannel shirt. As I open the door to go inside, the same guy who was smoking outside comes in to greet me. At this point I was not impressed to the say the least, but hey its a cool hip establishment right so why not? So in my head I thought ehh just give it a shot. I then ask the guy how much for a regular haircut, he says 45 bucks! Not sure about you but being a guy I usually never spend more than 20 bucks for a haircut. I’m not cheap but for 45 bucks I’m expecting champagne and a lobster roll or at a bare minimum excellent customer service. Again, in my head I said to myself– Ehh let me give it a shot. So I said to the guy alright let’s do this. He then says he is booked and does not have anything open for 3 hours. I looked around the place and saw nothing but empty chairs and haircutters leaning on their stations checking their phones. Not to mention the guy I was talking to had just been smoking outside. I then said to him– I have to wait 3 hours for a haircut? But you guys are all empty. He then says to me, but look at my computer screen and I will show you. I told him– I don’t need to see your screen, I’m looking at your business and I can see NOONEISHERE… I then told him to forget it and I took myself over to the barber shop next to home depot, which is 16 bucks for a haircut and they treat you well right away… Needless to say this Joe Grooming place has by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever been through. Good luck staying in business treating customers this way.
