Universal Thrift Store

This have to many things that are really were and tear I think something a little normal for a thrift store but most of the stuff is really really use.
Managed very poorly didn’t even ask you how you’re doing today but they are very busy controlling customers and walking behind to make sure no one is still from then. in personal opinion not a pleasant place to be shopping while i was there the cashier (i think owner) all the time in the phone calling Jonathan !! Yes I could hear after that a lady walking with her bag and they told her to leave it in the front!!! A little shoulder bag I will just walk out if I was her.
After that i just walk out.
Nothing good Bad Attitude go there so they can think you trying to still BAD. No customer service bad busses Culture.

The worst shopping experience of my life don’t know why anyone says anything good about this place. He marks things way way too high and found a live bed bug on some of the linens. Gross man!

I have so many mixed feelings about this place. The selection is really crummy. Their pricing scale is bizarre. I see they recently created a «vintage» section. However, just because something is considered «vintage» doesn’t really mean that it should be overpriced. A moth eaten beaded 50s cardigan for $ 40? Seriously? Because you wrote ‘vintage’ all over the tag? Doesn’t make it special, but I’m still laughing about it.
I think they even have a rack dedicated to overpricing. Some sort of «boutique» thing. I don’t get it. Most of the stuff is arranged to make walking around nearly impossible. Another store where you will find loose children running around, shrieking and unattended. And mixed with the state of disorganization? I fear for my safety at times. I’m waiting for the day I get slammed into by a tiny child goblin and get knocked into a purse avalanche. They should hand out hard hats upon entry.
I did once find the most amazing 1940s hat here for $ 4 (probably because they had NO clue what it was) which has earned them a couple return trips from me, but I think I’ve hit my limit here. Solid eehhhhhh.

Okay, just left this place because the owner/​cashier is a total prick, liar, and completely full of shit.
Went into the store a month or 2 ago, found a set of chairs and table marked 49.99×5 (1 table, 4 Chairs) but didn’t have a truck or car big enough to move them at the time. The cashier at the time (not the dickhead owner) said I should come back the next day because they’d be 25% off. Sweet! Well, I couldn’t get a truck, and then figured they’d be gone so I kind of forgot about them.
Cut to today…
It was the first time I’d been in the area since, and figured I’d stop in and see if by chance they were still there. Upon walking up to the entrance, I noticed that there was a 50% off sign in the window on Saturday and Sunday. Cool! I will totally score if they have the table and chairs! As soon as I walked in I saw the table and chairs. I asked a lady who was working there if by chance I could pay today and get the chairs later in the week and she said to ask the owner who was behind the cash register. He said that wouldn’t be a problem. And then he tried to tell me that the table was $ 100 and the chairs were priced separately based on condition. Written in marker is 49.99×5, still, verified by another customer that seemed to know him, that said «Manny, it says 49.99 times 5, it’s for the set».
Dude wouldn’t budge. «No, it’s 99.99».
Bullshit. Total bullshit. If you price something, sell if for that price. Don’t try and lie a bunch of different ways to make more money.

I really enjoy coming to this thrift store. The staff has been friendly, and there are GREAT finds at GREAT prices! I don’t like that there aren’t many discount days nor do I like the fact that you can’t carry your purse around if you have one. It’s annoying to have to carry my phone and keys while carrying an arm full of clothes… that’s why I deducted a star :)
There is also an upstairs that has books, rugs, and outdoor items. It’s pretty cool up there, and if you are into reading, there are a TON of books!
I hope one day they lift the no purses policy. I think if they’re that concerned with people shoplifting they should install some rinky dink surveillance cameras and monitor it every so often.

I went in here for the first time today. I had been at the big store down the street the other day and had a good experience. I parked out front and as I was walking in a little older lady was checking out the racks out front and smoking a cig — blech! So, I hurried past her.
I was about 10′ inside the door and I heard a woman say loudly, «Excuse me.» I ignored it and kept walking. When I turned around it was her. Apparently she works there or owns it? I overheard her later, asking to check someone’s bag that they brought in with them, saying it was their policy. Not that they had to leave it at the counter… she wanted to look inside. What??? I guess that is why she tried to get my attention when I walked in. Not impressed with that… «policy». And all I had with me was my normal size purse.
The store has dual racks — top and bottom. Not very convenient for someone who has physical problems. You’re always looking/​reaching down or up. They were pretty well organized though.
The «designer» labels are almost always priced up. Way up in most cases.
There are no «returns» racks and no one working the racks, but definitely employees just walking around the racks.
When I was ready to check out with the few items I did find, I waited for the customer in front of me to check out. He spoke the same language as the male clerk and wanted to leave some of his items as he couldn’t carry them all to the rear parking lot. The clerk then offered to get help and then left with him and the helper… to unlock the rear door for the customer.
I had been standing there the whole time. The clerk did not say he would be right back or call another clerk to check me out. He ignored me. I threw my items on the floor and left.
I don’t tolerate rudeness. Won’t be returning.

I would have to give a zero but not so much for the store itself as for the rude middle eastern guy who was a cashier there.

Huge store! They have a lot of neat items throughout the store. This place has 2 floors; first one is clothing, electronics, bags etc. The second floor has tons and tons of books! All for about a buck a piece. Not too shabby. I really wish I had more time to look around a bit more but I will definitely be back.

Are you kidding? I got me some nice brand new jeans for $ 5, (I don’t know why they were donated to begin with) I got me 3 blouses from banana rep (almost brand new) I got 2 dresses, one MK and one umm I forgot the brand) but anyways, the experience was great the staff is awesome. Staff is so nice and willing to help. It is clean, organized, cheap, great variety of antiques and books, lotsa lotsa clothes. You must not be on a rush when you come here tho. You must spend some TIME, by that I mean I spent like 3 hours looking hanger by hanger. Great experience!

Books, books, and more books!!! Most under $ 1. HUGE SALES! And the staff was very nice, including the owner, who rang us up.

I found some amazing clothes in the boutique section. Designer clothes with the tags still on them. I have been to high end stores that were not this organized.. This is one of the most organized thrift stores I have been in, with better deals than outlet stores.

so me and my cousin decided to have a thrifting day since by other cousins and her boyfriend were next door in JAM practice on their tricks. when we first entered the «broken» door we were greeted by a few people which i assumed they worked there, which i thought was pretty nice. the clothing selection for women’s was pretty big. there was alot of pretty good pieces. my cousin found a striped zara tshirt for 50 cents and i found a hawaiian style button down shirt for a dollar, a pair of jeggings for 2 bucks and a silk knit shirt for 2 bucks which i thought was hella cheap compared to the goodwill across the street. they had a lot of loafers for people who are interested and a bunch of leather backpacks and purses in pretty good conditions. everything in the store is color coded. there is a second floor filled with books and stuff which we havent gotten around to checking out. the store does look kinda old compared to goodwill standards but it is what you find that is important. i dont think there is a fitting room, or at least i dont see one. the cashier was chatting with one of the customers that he recognized that went there quite frequently which i thought was pretty cool since it kinda shows that there are a few returning customers that really liked the place and they actually remember their customers
I wound definitely come back again if i ever go back to Reseda, especially for the prices. I only spent 5 bucks for three things, which is a lot better than $ 4.50 for a shirt in goodwill or in salvation army. also outside the store there is thins giant sign that just said «thrift store» which is quite picture worthy

Only been in twice but both times where a hit I found the perfect sweater to make ugly for the holidays and misc junk I need for a project… if the next visit is good then this place gets a 5. Service, cleanliness and variety is pretty good for a thrift store… I found shoes here in great condition for my giant feet going back for work pants *fingers crossed*
I think this store is twice as better as their down the street competition because it’s more intimate and inviting.

I like this place! the owners are super friendly. I walked out with two pairs of jeans (Cheap Monday and J Brand) for about $ 9. I went to Buffalo Exchange prior to this place and for identical J Brand jeans they wanted $ 32. Can you say STEAL? I’ll be back!!! No fitting rooms though. I had to try on my jeans in a corner LOL. But it was worth it.

Two stars two reasons.
smallest selection of men’s clothing. Of course like all thrift stores, there’s bound to be something your going to like, that’s automatic. So forget that being a good thing. They needa bump up their selection. Secondly, they don’t accept American express, and that’s not cool just cuz it’s not cool, haha I don’t like spending cash only, and yeah just take all plastic please. Big shit.

I tried having an all day «thrifting» experience… went here and was disappointed. Perhaps I didn’t spend enough time looking through alllll the racks and what not, who knows. This place is pretty big — lots and lots of clothes too! 2 story space.
I suppose if I spent more time in here I might have enjoyed it, but I didn’t get anything from this place. It is clean though I give it that!

I ALWAYS hit this Thrift Store after I go to «Rescue Mission Alliance «(
) And I ALWAYS walk out with something. It’s not the cleanest or biggest Thrift Store I’ve been to but has the best things for cheap. I recently went this past weekend and I found 2 American Apparel dresses which were about $ 3 dollars a piece, a pair of True Religion shorts for $ 8 dollars and a green plain jacket for $ 1 dollar! YEAH super cheap.
You have to legit look thru every single thing, hanger after hanger and I promise you will find something, It smells a bit weird like stale in here, but don’t let that discourage you. The staff is really helpful and nice which is always pleasant.

This place is 2-​stories, and the 2^nd story has like 10,000 books! I was only in town for a little while, but, I certainly need to come back and take some photos of this place. I bought a Latin language textbook as well as a French language textbook – for like $ 3 total.
The staff was cool. They closed at 8PM, but they let us wander around until like 8:15 without issue. A great place!
