Unique Design Tile and Marble Direct

One star is for the only one thing Leon did right and that was picking up and delivering my tile… If you want Lipage and No bond call Leon. THE WORST JOB EVER !!! Coming from a family of retired contractors I am very educated on how tiles should be properly set. I Meet Leon, seemed super nice showed me photos, I interview him it all sounded great. Well starting from the demo lets just say no bueno!!! Didn’t tape and mask anything with plastic. Very sloppy!
His people are not skilled tile setters and super messy. I fired them in the middle of the job, I should of done it starting from the first day of demo, to save me from all this grief! I was hoping for it to get better but it got worse by the minute.
Thin Set left in my tight joint lines I had to wash and scrape for days. I asked them repeatedly, please use a bucket with a sponge and they refused. I found myself having to clean up their mess constantly.
Half of my floor has lipage and no bond because some of them move when you walk on it. They used every excuss in the book why it wasnt even. Bull$#x+%! I bought beautiful imported tile from Italy rectified, Not Home Depot tile made in China.
So on the 3^rd. day I had enough, I fired everyone. Leon demanded his money. I had no choice but to pay. I hired a new crew. They were Amazing & Real Pros! No problem with lipage at all and they back buttered each tile. They could not believe my floor was done poorly by previous «skilled» tile setters. Thank GOD they were able to save my floor. Unfortunately they had to pop out and redo about 20 tiles. I was relived I didnt have to babysit workers anymore.
Leons crew were speaking in spanish about me, cuss words and all! I understood everything those clowns said… They had no idea I speak 3 languages. Very rude and unprofessional! They even installed chipped tile and covered it up with blue tape. They are a joke… Who does that???
Well, I guess that’s what makes them «UNIQUE»
I tired to settle this nightmare out of court. But they have not responed. See you in court!

Unique Design Tile located in Reseda remodeled my bathroom. At first, Leon, seemed like a nice guy who owned his own tile store. We went over the job, he gave me a quote, it seemed reasonable, so I hired him. From the start his crew was very messy. They were not cleaning up after their work day was complete.
Day three of the project, I came home early to monitor the progress in my master bathroom and was very disappointed by the uneven grout lines and cement boarding. Leon assured me that the end product would not look this way. The next day, things were not better and I asked him if he could start over because I was not pleased with what I had seen. He then told me that it was not possible to restart this project because he did not think there was anything wrong with it. I did not let him or his crew continue that work day and asked for his contractors license number. He did not provide me with it and I then terminated the project. Luckily I was able to find another tile store to rectify this mess!

Unique Design rocks!
So I’ve been in the market for several months looking for tile and granite work. Having zero experience shopping for tile and or granite it sure made it harder than I thought. After entertaining three different bids (including a big name store) with pretty much the same price point I came across Unique Design from a friend’s referral.
William and Monica were stellar — They easily understood my vision for the kitchen. They brought up all the details that I personally would have never even have known to ask about, as well as explaining all the pros and cons between different types of tile and granites. And the best part of it they were flexible with scheduling and did an excellent and thorough job when it came to the installation, which was done by Leon and his assistant — both stellar individuals. They were clean, meticulous, and personable. It is quickly apparent that these guys are true experts. They worked quickly, but not hastily. Everyday, they picked up after themselves prior to leaving for the day. The job was completed in the time frame that we discussed (3 – 4 days). The prices were beyond reasonable for the amount of material and labor needed. They completely transformed our kitchen. I would highly recommend Unique Design to anyone!!!

My wife and I were remodeling our home and we’re unsure on styles and designs. After going to a bunch of tile stores with all the same bland tile options, we ended our search here. It is a small store but we were pleasantly surprised with the selection of material to choose from, they had more of a designer sense of tile options. With there help we finally made our house beautiful inside with granite counter tops a custom floor design for entry way and my favorite, the master bathroom with the walk in shower. All in all we were walked through the process step by step so we had peace of mind with our remodel. Thanks again guys! oh and of course the sales rep. Angie was extremely helpful and polite. After visiting those other store I can now say you don’t really meet people like her working at tile stores.
