Great for a late night bite. Glad this place was open, we were on our way home and hungry. We have some dietary restrictions so we ordered a carne asada plate with no rice but more beans instead — to go. We packed up some salsas, and pickled jalapeños and headed home. When we opened up our food containers we noticed there was rice, a lot of it and naturally it spilled into the beans. We started picking it out and still enjoyed our food, but it would have been nice to have our request not just be something we say but be taken seriously. Could have also been an honest mistake. Either way food was good.

why’d you turn off the frier 40 minutes before closing at 1am??? **** update: everyone should go buy their nacho fries from their neighbors at «tacos mexico» i just called them and they still have their frier on and wont tuen it off until after they close! **** 19301 saticoy street if you want me to change my one star review & take down my suggestion of tacos mexico over your place, then contact me about this & we’ll see. if you don’t want to be open at 12:30, then dont be!!! basically ruined what i was craving for and i drove out to your restraunt for nothing, when i was told you served the fries i was looking for and when you were closing… implying that i could order my damn california fries up until closing!!! if that wasnt true, i should have been told thats not possible over the phone when i called so i would not waste my time, money, & gas!!! horchata was great, but i didn’t want f’ing nachos… i wanted your damn california fries. i’m honestly not sure if i will come back here l, considering that there are other options for macho type fries and their cook didn’t seem to care to make sure he could cook fries up until they closed… at the very least, closer than 40 minutes before closing!!!

Good tacos. I used them for a party I threw. Everyone loved the food and it was inexpensive.

I came awhile ago at night. So I ordered cheese enchiladas and was overall not impressed. Okay the plates are styrofoam plates(like what). I was already off put by that, but I still ate it. My enchiladas were COLD. The type of cold they made in the morning and didn’t even bother to reheat it. I know it was late but that was just wrong. Not only did it prove that it wasn’t made fresh, but the fact they didn’t warn it up? I remember their guacamole wasn’t even that great. Not planning to go back anytime soon.

I tried this location to replace the one in Canoga Park after having a bad experience there, but the first time I came here they got my order wrong and the woman taking my order used inappropriate language with me.

This is my go to taco place. Each taco is $ 1.50ish? And burritos are $ 5.50. They are all so delicious! I also always get the horchata and bag of chips(which is $.92). On special occasions I get the Carne Asada fries(which is about $ 8ish) these are also sooo good! There is also a great condiments bar filled with radishes, pickled vegetables, salsa, green sauce, and red sauce! This is located in a sketchy neighborhood so I warn ya. Don’t be too freaked out though. It also looks super run down inside but they make delicious food!

Love this place. The asada tacos are first rate. Burritos are very tasty. Even a side order of chips and beans is far above most other local mexican food joints. The only two reasons El Taco Llama doesn’t get five stars are because 1) you can’t eat the food there due to constant annoyance of flies, and 2) there is a bias against non Mexican customers. The staff is very friendly and conversational with Mexican customers but kind of cold and almost rude to non Mexican customers. I’ve been coming here for years and have noticed this. However, the food makes this something that can be overlooked.

Prolly the best mexican food I’ve eaten… ever! It’s just that good(to me). The rice, the beans, the steak, the horchata… all! I go there a lot and im spreading the word whenever I can. This place is on point. The only reason it’s not 5stars to me is bcuz its limited parking and seating is limited. Other than that, no complaints

Just by creating this review my mouth is watering.. The staff knows me as soon as i walk in with my one and only«usual» chicken burrito, no spicy stuff, no onions, and sour cream! The fattest burrito everrr of course i need some lime on the side! This hidden gem def has the best burritos but i have to be honest and say the 20x ive been here that’s the only thing i have got. . Sometimes the staff has a bit of an attitude and it is sort of a hole in the wall place but hey who can beat the food.

Came to check this place out Sunday since my favorite place closes early on Sundays. The dining room was a disaster, all tables sticky and dirty. Ordering was misleading, you think your getting refried beans in your burrito but you don’t. The«carne asada» was terrible. I felt sick the rest of the night, I couldn’t finish my food the meat had a terrible taste like it was mishandled. I won’t be going back. So no llama.

During the summer they grill outside so the distinct aroma of carne asada got my attention as I drove by. I decided to stop and try it out, and I’m glad I did. I’ve been coming back ever since. Try it out!

this is my place, I live on the block NOAC, You sit where you sit –FOODISGOOD– ALLTHESALSAYOUWANT and YOUDONTHAVETODOMANUALLABORANDPUTITINTHELITTLECONTAINERS. They do it for you. Eat there it is delicious. If you bring it home it takes away from the taste, I guess cuz it gets kinda soggy. $ 10 and you eat like a King

I also had a Groupon. This was my first time going there and my husband and I thought it was great.(Much better than Las Calveras up the street on Tampa, which is a sit down restaurant). Girl behind the counter very nice as well. We’d definitely go back! My only complaint would be the parking situation. Pretty tight, but you can park on the street as well.

I got a Groupon for this place which included 2 entrees, and two drinks for like $ 10. I was skeptical when I arrived as the place is really small and not in the cleanest area, but I went in and we ordered a machaca burrito and five carne asada tacos and had two huge cups of horchata. The burrito was delicious and a decent size. The tacos were delicious, though not served with lime so I had to ask for some, with the addition of lime juice they were scrumptious. I would go back again and the prices were good so I can easily add it to my list of good cheap Mexican offerings.
