This taqueria is the best in the highlands! I always order the tacos al pastor! Wow! I think this place is a little pricey but worth it considering everything else(mexican) is disappointing!

I stopped at this place and ordered their horchata(rice drink) and mannnnn they got the real stuff not the fake premade/store bought cheap stuff. Food was amazing and reminded me of the real authentic food i ate on my trip to Mexico. This place is a hole in the wall when it comes to location but i will definitely be coming back.

I was in the neighborhood, I was hungry and as I was about to go to a convenience store I saw a Mexican food spot and looked on Unilocal. The reviews were good and then I saw a sign 2 burritos for $ 5(JACKPOT!) and immediately walked in… I ordered the beef burritos and for the price I was pleasantly surprised. I’m glad I decided to give this place a try. Oh and service was good too. I’m sure I’ll be back again. Hopefully with more than $ 5 to spend… to try more items.

Amazing food! I love that it’s so close to my home. It takes a little time to get the food, but it’s totally worth the wait!

Wow. Incredible street tacos. We had the pastor, chorizo, and asada. All were delicious. The asada was particularly mind-blowing. Best tacos I’ve had so far on my years-long quest to find the best tacos in the Seattle area.

Phenomenal tacos al pastor, and the barbacoa(lamb) is great as well which sadly they only have on weekends. Biggest downside is you dont get enough ‘cupitas’ of salsa on to-go orders,(they actually charge you extra for a measly portion) and they don’t offer up any of their great habanero salsa to-go. The«machete» quesadilla is insanely huge and quite good as well, as are their burritos. Still, l recommend their food, as long as you dine-in.

I am fairly positive I have tried over 95% of the Mexican restaurants in Renton. I have lived here for 27 years. They have by far the best el pastor tacos I have ever had. Oh man. I can’t recommend them highly enough. They are great.

I decided to try this restaurant based on Unilocal reviews. Once again my Unilocalers came through for me, I’m not disappointed. Although the menu was somewhat limited there is enough of a selection where you’ll find something to suit your taste. I ordered the enchilada platter which included 2 enchiladas with a salad topping. Also ordered the carnitas platter which consisted of shredded pork, a couple of green chiles and tortillas. Both platters came with rice and beans. The enchiladas could’ve had a little more beef but otherwise they were very tasty as was the carnitas. The décor was lacking. The staff was pleasant. I’ll definitely be returning for more good Mexican food.

I am Mexican so I would say they are the closest to most authentic tacos I’ve ever had, the food is great the service not so good. Be careful if you are not hispanic, they can easily overcharge you, which makes them abusive, my husband is American and last time they charged him $ 10 more than the bill was supposed to be.

The street tacos alone are enough to make me come back. Amazing food. Don’t be fooled by the store front… find this place and enjoy the best Mexican food around.

I was a bit discouraged by the grimey interior, but the food is pretty darn good. Everything is very reasonably priced and will fill you up. The tacos have good amounts of meat, and it’s hard to eat just one. The burrito was simple but had enough goods inside. The habanero sauce is excellent. It would be more inviting if they spruced up the inside.

All great taco joints are behind gas stations! To the right of the gas station, and to the left of the other Mexican restaurant sits a nugget of Mexican gold. This place is the ONLY place that I have found that does taco al pastor on a spit with the pineapple roasting on top and everything. Having lived in Mexico for several years I had searched for a place with the same authentic taste and look, and this place has it. They even have a poster depicting the famous iztaccihuatl legend. Highly recommend to anyone, except my enemies.

This is a excellent little Mexican place in a location in a part of Renton that if you blink then you will probably miss it. The restaurant is very authentic and enjoyable! I had Chicken Flautas here which were delicious! The ingredients were fresh(something I always pay attention to) and had a great taste to them! I would love to go back and try more of their menu options!

Easily the best street tacos i’ve had in the Seattle area, and i grew up eating street tacos on the east side of the state. I’ve gotta say that this is also the best horchata I’ve had in a long time considering I’m a horchata snob when it comes down to it. Since they’re also a carneceria, they serve up hefty portions of meat with their food which means they have some mean Tortas. Given, they’re in the parking lot of a gas station, but if you care more about quality tacos then it shouldn’t even matter. Oh yeh, and how about the chorizo they make? That takes the cake for awesomeness!

Tucked into the corner of a tiny strip mall, and perhaps unnoticed by most passersby, this is the place for cheap and well-prepared Mexican favorites. I’d been here a few times previously for chorizo and carnita tacos, and they were very good. With a high-ceiling, the restaurant has an open and airy feel. It’s not fancy, having a linoleum tile floor and exposed fluorescent lights on the wall. But it does have a completely authentic feel — Sanchez could be a loncheria in Coalcoman. Thumbs up to the cumbia they were playing. The taqueria’s meat display case, while not bursting at the seams, contained some handsome looking chorizo. Next time I make chorizo and eggs, this is where I will get the chorizo. On this day, the owner greeted me and handed me a glossy and attractive take-out menu(he must have paid a pretty penny to have those printed up). He then pointed to the types of meat they have for their tacos(they must have twenty different kinds of tacos!). He also pointed to a board that displayed the dozen or so entrees available. When I saw pollo asado(roasted chicken) with rice, tortillas, salad and beans going for a mere $ 7.50, I instantly knew what I wanted. To go with my lunch, I snagged an agua mineral(club soda) from the fridge. After I ordered my pollo asado, I wondered if I should have ordered some tacos too because I couldn’t imagine getting very much food for $ 7.50. Good thing I didn’t order those tacos. My jaw dropped when a young gal brought to my table a huge plate groaning with eats. At least ½ a chicken was there. The breast was huge! The way they prepared the chicken was perfect in my book. It was golden and a little crispy around the edges and lightly spiced with — I would bet dollars to donuts — Adobo, which is one of my favorite seasoning mixes. The menu stated I would be getting four tortillas(wrapped in foil), but I think they gave me closer to ten(corn) tortillas. Oh and I loved the Mexican rice — a very nice full flavor. Salad ingredients were fresh. The pollo asado is obviously popular. Two Mexican guys, who smelled of fresh laundry, sat down at the table by me and also ordered the pollo. And like me, they had agua mineral for their beverage. Definitely a delicious bargain!

This is an OK place. The tacos and items offered are decent but there are better places to go.

Meat store and taco stand. I guess they are okay kind of as a last ditch place. Just so many taco stands are better, I’d say go somewhere else.
