Skyway Towing & Recovery

I locked myself out of my car this morning at the gas station. I called my insurance company and they dispatched another service. After almost 1.5 hours of waiting a Skyway truck pulled up to gas his vehicle. I asked him to help since I didn’t know they the other guys would show up. He was very nice and helpful and got my door opened fast.

Just as everyone is saying these guys are THIEVES and so is washington state patrol. My nephew got in a car accident on 167 last night. We told the patrol officer we would drive or tow the vehicle home but this officer wouldn’t let us saying she’s not going to wait for us to get the vehicle off the road. She called skyway towing.
Tow truck picked up the car and the officer came to let us know that our car was a total loss. She said we can save money by just giving the title to the tow truck company and they won’t charge us for the tow. That’s not your call or the tow trucks call to make! !!! That’s why we have insurance.
We asked the officer to tell the tow driver to take the car to our home 2 miles away. She told us it would be $ 275. No problem.
The driver arrives, asks for $ 300, smokes a cigarette, and drives off at down my driveway leaving us in the dust (literally).
He just stole our car. We called the tow office, they said it was a mistake and he’s coming back. We waited an hour. No show. We called again, they said they brought the car back to the storage yard and we can pick it up the next day or now but pay afterhour fees. Wait what? Why are we paying more money if YOU stole our car from the driveway? Crooks. THIEVES.

Worst towing and customer service experience ever.
My 16 year old son was in a car accident on his way home from college, and the State Patrol had our car towed here (without our knowledge or approval). We drove two hours to pick up our son and retrieve the belongings from the car, before leaving it to insurance to deal with.
When we arrived, there were three people standing behind the desk. I introduced myself as the owner of a car that was recently towed, gave the make and model and my name, and asked to get my son’s items from the car. After pulling my chain for a minute, telling me to ask one guy, who said to ask the next guy, who said to ask the next guy, all the while laughing at my regardless of my distress level, the last guy laughed in my face and said no. He said they were closed and they would only let me get my items if I paid them a $ 91 fee. I said that they didn’t look closed, and they laughed and told me «too bad».
I didn’t have $ 91 available to me, so they wouldn’t let me get the items from my car, ten feet away. My son’s college books are in the car, along with his computer, and suitcase containing all his clothing and toiletries. Everything he owns is sitting in our car, and all they did is point and laugh.
Stay far away. I can only imagine how they treat vehicles and their contents, if they treat people this way.

After our family car was stolen and dumped I did not expect to positive experience at the tow yard. While cleaning out my belongings and preparing to sell my car to a junkyard as it wasn’t worth the cost to do the repairs, I was devastated when the towing bill came out to be more than I could get for the car parts.
The gal behind the desk told me not to worry and proceeded to call around to see if she could get a better deal for the sale of my car. She was able to secure a buyer for almost twice what I would’ve received from the places I had called myself. I left without having to pay anything out of pocket to cover the tow. I’m so thankful for her help!

THIS COMPANY WILL RUMMAGE THROUGH YOUR CAR AND STEAL
This company had my car overmight after towing it and when I went to pick it up it was way in the back behind a few other cars in an almost empty lot. The car was unlocked and it was obviously rummaged through including things strewn across the seats and the glove compartment open. My purse and wallet were picked through and over $ 100 cash was stolen. It was as if my car had been raped.!! They also chareged me $ 330. If I had pcked it up one hour after it had been towed they would have charged me an extra hundred dollars for «after hours» fee. I guess there wouldn’t have been enough time also to rummage through it to steal things.

This company should be called Skyway THIEVES! They will rob you for the last dime in your wallet. Extremely outrageous prices with fees for EVERYTHING, if you compare them to any other local tow company.
To top things off, the people who work there are extremely rude, unprofessional and just don’t give a crap about service or how they communicate with people. They chew food while they are talking to you, they interrupt you while you are speaking and when they put you on «hold» they set the phone down where you can clearly hear them in the background laughing at the fact that they have possession of your vehicle and that you have to pay to get it out.
This place is BY FAR a place the city should be ashamed of allowing to do business!!! I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE and if you are someone who is unfortunate to have your vehicle impounded by them, get it out ASAP before your stuff gets stolen and your bill for a few days is higher than your monthly car & insurance payments combined! They even had the nerve to take out every single coin I had in my «change compartment»!!!

My car was towed by these disgusting human beings, who stole every single item of value from the trunk of my car, the laptop and shoulder bag was placed in the trunk by a WSP Trooper. How can Police agencies call a company to perform a civic function then turn a blind eye to criminal activity performed by that business?
Ban this clan of thieves!!!

Skyway towing towed our car immediately after an accident and being called called by Renton Police. Interesting enough, everything in our car was stolen. Jumper cables, roadside equipment, about $ 120.00 worth of stuff but we were told they aren’t responsible for any theft to vehicles while in their impound lot? Skyways customer service left a lot to be desired. Not to mention their constant slams on AAA. Just beware when using them. Too bad we cannot give them zero stars or we would. I can’t believe the city has a contract with a group like this. Makes you wonder what they get paid.

Needed to take my restoration vehicle to the Washington State Patrol to get inspected. The appointment was at 9:00am. Driver came by with flatbed at 8:00 (as scheduled), got to State Patrol by 8:50, inspection completed by 9:15, back home by 9:30. No problems, everything worked out perfectly as planned. Brad, the driver was courteous and knowledgeable. Would use Skyway Towing again, and would recommend them to my friends.

Worst place ever! Picked towed my car and held it for an hour! Then charged me 290 $ for the pick up along with callin the cops on me when I threaded to sue! Basically if they were a ant I’d burn them with a lighter!

As a landlord I have the unpleasant task of removing abandoned cars. Skyway is on time and very helpful. I appreciate their service.

They pick up on time and they drop it where you want it. Kathy and crew can even haul away the heavy junk from your neighbors yard or tow your boat to the storage place for the summer. I was surprised to see that I can choose Skyway and then send the bill to AAA for reimbursement too!

Skyway Towing & Recovery are some of the nicest people you will ever met! If you are ever in a pinch, these guys are professional, friendly, reasonably priced and will do what they can to help you out! I highly recommend Skyway Towing!!!
