I have been going to Hair We Are and Rosemary since 1983 because my hair is naturally curly and Rosemary can cut curly hair like no one else. She recently retired and Hair We Are has not been the same since. The gal who has replaced her is very good, but she is moving, and now there is no one left. Not the same place at all.

GREAT HAIR COLOR! She gets all the way to the roots, and grow out is minimal! Barbara also matches the hair color to your skin type!
Her salon is a little funky and tricky to find, but comfortable and unique, none the less. And she is kind and easy to talk to:)

I went in to Barb to get an updo for my wedding and also brought my maid of honor for her hair. Barb is an artist and we both looked amazing! If I can post pictures on this site I will do so!

Let me start by saying that there is not enough room in this space for the rave reviews I have for «my gal» Barb.
I have been stopped on streets and in restaurants and grocery stores by people complimenting my hair color and asking me where I have my hair done.
I have started carrying a stack of Barb’s cards in my purse to hand to these people and I encourage them to give her a try.
Its only fitting then, that I make a formal « Unilocal» for her.
While I think the big chain places have their advantages, I prefer more «personal service» from someone who has taken the time to get to know me and my tastes when it comes to style.
When I started seeing Barb (16 months ago) my hair had broken off about 3 – 4 inches in the back thanks to my prior hair dresser’s overprocessing and just general lack of care.
Today, my hair has grown back and is more healthy than its EVER been. I used to have thin, fine hair — and now its come back much thicker and stronger, and much more vibrant. Barb let me in on a secret — «Biotin» its a daily supplement found in the vitamin aisle, start taking 1 a day and see your hair make drastic improvements within about 4 weeks.

Her shop is small and cozy — and she’s totally worth the drive to Renton. Its located off of exit 4, near the Value Village. Her rates are reasonable. I pay $ 90 for a cut and full foil and I have long hair.
I’d give her a call about a week or two in advance — and if she’s short on the phone with you, its because she’s with a client!
