TERRIBLE attorney!!! We filed a Ch 13 BK through him and he told us his fee was something like $ 900. We paid this, so he began on our case. After we filed, he spent a couple hours in court (if that), and we were done. Then come to find out that almost the first year of payments also went to him for «Administration Fees». I have had several questions, which could have easily been answered with just a few minute phone call with him, but after court, he won’t even return my phone calls (I’ve called at least 4 times and not once has he called me back). The secretary said she would be happy to schedule me for a consultation for $ 60. I don’t think so. We’ve already paid him over $ 4,000 for a couple days work and he can’t return a phone call? I ask the trustee for help and they say they can’t help me, I have to ask my attorney. Thanks for nothing Mr. Burke, you are a TURD!
Here’s my suggestion (s)… if at all possible, don’t file BK. It is not a good fix for financial mess ups in life. Instead, make your own payment arrangements with the creditors, make an offer on the balance, and/​or use Consumer Credit Counseling to make arrangements where you might get the interest waived. If that won’t work and BK is inevitable… DO NOT use Christopher Burke!!!
