Still my favorite Reno event. I love this event every year. And every year it gets better and better. This year had the most restaurants participating yet –30!!! And a few newbies, nice to see Brasserie, ZoZo’s, Our Bar and others joined the festivities. Another change was each place offering — their choice– a $ 10, $ 20 and /or $ 30 menu selection. This really opened up some different menu options. The kickoff at Reno Provisions was a great event. Glad to see the Unilocal Passports back again this year. If you have one you know all the events and the participating restaurants. For their specials you can check out the site. Monday started out early at 6:45 at Waldens for the first stamp and a chai latte. The hubby brought lunch from SUP to the office. After work we headed downtown to check out a few of the places there on the list, settling on Our Bar. Tuesday started with Waldens and chai. Then hubby brought Moo Dang’s RBW pad Thai special to me at work. That evening we donned beads and masks and enjoyed the MardiGras party at Homage. Wednesday morning I checked out Rounds Bakery for donuts for the office because I was way too full from the night before to try their special breakfast sandwich. I met the hubby at ZoZo’s for lunch where we split their RBW special and I’m so very glad we did, it was a lot of food. That night we headed up Mt Rose for another special event– the Blend Southern dinner pop up. Thursday starts off with another Waldens trip. Lunch from the Cheeseboard Bistro delivered to my office by hubby. The evening topped off by a special tasting event at the Depot. Friday we had a late start after golf we had the lunch special at LaVecchia. Later in the afternoon I ran out to Burger Me to grab a shake. Spent a couple of hours at Pignic’s Pigtobeerfest. Then onto the Brasserie to check out the $ 20 steak special. Saturday lunch was a killer huge plate of pad Thai for $ 10 at Café de Thai. Followed by the highlight of the week– the chef showdown. After the showdown Bistro 7 hosted the after party with a four hour happy hour and the chance to hang out with the chefs and other foodies. Clint Jolly and Natasha Bourlin have created one of the greatest culinary events that everyone can enjoy in the Reno area. From free events to affordable menu items to eat on all week. And I’m so excited they had the vision for this event and the strength to pull it off for four years now. This was just a sampling of how I spent my RBW. Each restaurant and special event has a detailed review and pictures, please check them out.

This is what supporting locals is all about ! All the planning and hard work makes Reno proud ! The events were varied and there was a special all over town that would fit anyone’s tastes. With the the crazy week I had I did not get to enjoy as many as I wanted… But tried 3 new restaurants and will return to them. Of course the highlight again this year was the chef showdown. Excellent!!! Every chef was able to showcase their talents. The secret ingredient made a lot of faces cringe and the creativity flow! Thanks for all the worm to put this one.
