Nate from Reno was very thorough and went above & beyond in his demonstrations. He made a point to ensure that I understood how to operate the equipment before leaving and got me a great deal on the product!

So great that my daughter-in-law bought the new kirby, the demo was very professional, and the representative was extremely polite, courteous and knowledgeable about the product

Door to door sales people are rude pushy & untrustworthy. Totally ignore no soliciting signs & knock on your door way too late. When I talked to a «supervisor» about no soliciting signs he just said they give them free items. If you didn’t go looking to buy something on your own YOUDONTNEEDIT! I do happen to own a Kirby that I found at a thrift shop & had the repair guy recondition but spend $ 2k –??? NOO way. Arm & Hammer make replacement bags that fit now that you can buy at Walmart. Have complained to J&L with no response.

This stupid ass company is very dishonest, untruthful, and fucked up. I am sick with Lupus an autoimmune disease that means my body cant tell the good from the bad. So my husband applied to a few jobs and this place calls him back. They placed a very deceitful add for work with guaranteed salary plus commission. My husband answered it and they to promised all kind of bs to him. He fell for it and thought this was gonna be a great company to work for but fuck that shit we have three babies to take care of and did they care no instead they asked him to work over 60 hours in one week and didn’t pay him a cent. He finally caught up to it and realized hes not gonna see a single cent unless he sells this overpriced machine. Which he sold 2 and got 200 $$. It’s sad how these people could sleep at night making a fool of honest people to work for them and keep them away from there families and sick wife’s and kids. They don’t care about peoples bills or hearts. People slam doors come out with guns and they don’t care all they care about is the sale. Stay away from the overpriced vacuum cleaner called the Kirby.

Tim Faley came into my home unexpectedly yesterday and gave me a demo of the new Kirby. He said in the beginning that he’d clean any room or area for free. I’ve been contemplating cleaning my carpets for awhile now so he was right on time. The visit was a lot of fun. Tim’s an interesting and conversational person. I’m really glad he came over. I’m tight on money this month, but in the near future I plan to buy a Kirby from him eventho I have a central vacuum that I love. Obviously it’s not doing a very good job and I live in Paradise so I need the best vacuum to keep my carpets clean. I may not need to shampoo them once I can get all the dirt out. I’ve grown up with Kirbys my whole life. Lost two to divorces! I just needed someone to refresh my memory of how good they really are. Thanks. I hate making this a long review, but I just read the other reviews on Unilocal and I think they may have some rotten salesmen working for them. Door to door sales is probably the hardest way in the world to make money. Tim is a great salesman. Thanks again.

J&L Distributing failed to return a vacuum that I «traded in» after I decided to cancel my purchase of one of their products. I purchased a Kirby vacuum from one of J&L’s door to door sales reps on Sunday 6÷21÷15. The purchase price was $ 2,107 plus the«trade in» of my existing Dyson vacuum. On Monday 6÷22÷15, my wife and I decided to cancel the purchase transaction, which is allowable under the 3 day right of cancellation rule. Under this rule, J&L is contractually obligated to refund my money and return my vacuum within 10 business days. On the 11th business day following the delivery of the cancellation notice, we heard from the sales rep. He stopped by our house at 8:30pm and, after attempting to save the sale, took back the Kirby vacuum. He made no mention of refunding our $ 2,107 but did mention that he would get us our vacuum back«soon». After several attempts to get the vacuum back via the sales rep and one in-person visit to J&L’s location to attempt to locate our vacuum, we still have not received our Dyson vacuum back. It is now 7÷16÷15 Further, J&L never voluntarily refunded my $ 2,107 purchase price. I was forced to contest the charge with my credit card company.

Everyone was nice that we met. Seems like a great machine and did a great job showing the Kirby vacuum but tried making up feel bad that we couldn’t afford their crazy expensive machine. Tried taking off a lot off money on the original price but 22% interest rate is crazy high! I do wish I could buy a Kirby it really is a great piece of machinery made in America.

If you really dislike door-to-door sales then this company is not for you. This is what they do. They sell Kirby vacuums. They start with an offer to clean a carpet and will try to take it further by inspecting your carpet or floor. Before you let them into your house be sure you really want them there. Also check their ID and licence to sell. In the beginning don’t answer the door or otherwise say, «No». As for me, the rep demonstrating the vacuum was very nice, personable and honest. He spent several hours with me but this was because of my questions. Also I wanted him to demo everything. I bought a vacuum package but then I wanted one from the beginning. The machines are quite expensive, almost $ 3 K. It’s too bad some of their reps are jerks. It seems to me those types of people will have short sales careers.

I don’t know anything about J & L Dist except that their door to door representatives are rude, pushy and demanding. Hope that J & L does not support the actions of these young men. One rang the door bell and started in with his pitch to clean carpets. I politely told him that I was not interested and closed the door. About 30 min. later, another young man POUNDED on my door. I told him that a co-worker had already been here. He responded with«why did you not let him in». I responded with«because I am not interested in having my carpets cleaned and that’s what I told the first man. This guy raised his voice and this time the door got slammed. I’m glad that I have a security system and security doors. These men are suppose to be a representative of your company – suggest you be more selective in your hiring.

I haven’t actually done business with these guys, and I wouldn’t ever use their services based on their door-to-door salesman. He didn’t knock, he instead pounded on the door while my toddler was napping(to be fair, he couldn’t have known that part). Then, when my pregnant self didn’t get to the door fast enough(within 15 seconds), he rang the doorbell twice while yelling«halllooooo!» I opened the door and told him the baby was sleeping, so he was a little quieter when he dove into his pitch. I listened to the main pitch for a minute, but when he went on I said«I’m sorry, I really can’t do this right now.» He said«what, because of the baby? I’m whispering!» while rolling his eyes. Not the most terrible thing that could happen, but just poor, unprofessional behavior all around. Not at all appreciated.

As a Kirby customer since 2001, we had a demo of the new model and reminded us of all the features are 14 year old model can do. Was a lengthy demo, but very thorough and informative. Daniel was great!

If I could rate these low-life scumbags lower, I would! They run a highly dishonest operation. Canceled my contract within 3 days. Per contract, I was advised my full purchase price would be refunded within 10 business days. 14 business days later, no refund. I called. The unhelpful girl at the front desk said check would be mailed out. 6 days later, guess what? No check. She, Nicole, swore up and down she had mailed the check. Yeah, sure you did! I had to go in and they had to write me a refund check on the spot. Then they said they would stop payment on a non-existent check. LIARSANDCHEATS! I plan to tell everyone I can about what a sham this«company» is. STAYFAR, FARAWAY!!!

Two young men came up my stairs at 8:45PM. All my lights were out and I was preparing to go to bed. They wanted to come in my home to give me an estimate to clean the carpets. I think this company is a scam. They train young people to approach homes at night. They have no business license in Douglas County. It is completely absurd to knock on doors late at night to try and sell carpet cleaning services … if that is what they really do. It seems more probable that they are checking out houses to rob. Call 911 if these dirtbags come to your home.

I was approached at my home, this evening by a nice young man and that is when my opinion changed! When I said no thank you the first time, i was asked if he could clean my carpet. I said no again and said I did not like the company. He again asked if he could clean the house and that was how he got paid. Being a sales professional, I kindly suggested to him that I felt pressured and didn’t like that. He then asked me, «if I had to get into a home to get it cleaned and that was how I was going to get paid, would I do whatever I had to to get into the home» I said no, and then said please I am not interested and I don’t like the pressure. He then asked the question to me and changed the words to feed his family. I am upset and not happy and nervous. This was really bad and I don’t know how this company trains sales people, but this was absolutely horrible! Don’t let them near you!
