By far my favorite Unilocal event so far! Well, this was only my second but it was nothing short of an amazing evening. This was an event that my little girls were able to attend as well. I’m not sure if I had more fun watching them show off their Unilocal name tags and goodie bags or enjoying the game and event myself. Either way we all felt like VIPS. No detail was spared for this game. I was excited to watch the Big Horns and would’ve given a great review for that and the fun company there. I didn’t expect to be able to watch the warm ups right on the court, enjoy a good meal with drinks in the VIP area and get some fun gifts on top of that. The highlight of the night was watching my girls go out on the court for a relay race. Way to really make the night special Michael! They are still talking about it. The game was great… Bighorns won. Yeah! We ended the night getting autographs from the players. Loved, loved, loved this Unilocal event and being able to meet some of the Unilocal community that I’ve only talked to online.

Reno Bighorns? Unilocal Elite event? Yup, this was the place! Held at the Reno Event Center, we arrived on time, me and two guests. We were greeted by Michael T, Unilocal Reno community manager, he pointed us towards the beautiful Bighorn cheerleader who had our reusable bags filled with Rashad James bobble head and pom pom. We entered the court and sat court side and watched the players practice. We then proceeded to the VIP Lounge and had a full catered meal made by V Dub’s Grub. Everyone was treated as guest of honor, pretty cool. We sat on one of the many leather couches next to fellow Sac Unilocalers, Cindy S and her mom, and Scott F. When the game started, we sat a few rows back. It was an intense game but after half time, the Bighorns were in the lead against Texas by over thirty points. Us Unilocalers made a tunnel after half time to greet the players back onto the court. Pretty cool to high-five future NBA players! After the game, they had fan appreciation where you could stand in line to get autographs. I snuck over before the line formed to get personal selfies with the players, David Stockton(point guard) and Austin Witter. Thank you Unilocal Reno for hosting such a fun, family event. Much gratitude to Michael T, for welcoming us and being so hospitable to a bunch of out of owners!

March 28, 2015 Saturday 5:30PM Elite Event Atmosphere — 5 stars Food — 4 stars Service — 5 stars Background — An Elite event and sports, let’s go now! Atmosphere — The Reno Event center is where the Reno Bighorns of the NBA’s D-League plays. The Reno Event makes for a perfect home for the team. I have been to a lot of games but this was the first time I was treated like a VIP. We had access to special longue that had food and drinks. Food Drinks — You know I am all about the beer, they have three choices here. Coors Light, Blue Moon, and Heineken, thus I had the Heineken as I am not a fan of the other two. Main Course — Buffet style food when was good, but still a buffet. Game — The Bighorns put a clinic on tonight. The Legends basically lost the game at the tip off. Sim Bhullar, 7′ 5″, easily tipped to the ball to a teammate. The highlight of the game was Tucker scoring a league tying record 58 points. Half time the Bighorns almost had a 100. The team scored 161, crazy as there was no overtime to get the score up to that point. Service — Love that Herb Santos, Jr., one of the owners, talked to us after the group picture which I thought was great move on his part. Another successful event hosted by our CM Michael T. Thanks to the Bighorns staff, the players, Unilocal, and Michael. Future — Will be back for more games.

WINNERWINNER ~ CHICKENDINNER!!! Big win for the Bighorns and the entire Reno Unilocal community thanks to their fearless leader Michael T. Dinner was served in the VIP Lounge, which was a bonus to relax on the couches and enjoy savory chicken, potatoes, steamed veggies, and endless rolls. The bar was a nice touch with a decent selection of alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages. Who knew Reno had a basketball team? I didn’t, neither did many of my fellow Unilocalers near and far. Thanks to Unilocal and Michael for allowing us to explore and get out of our comfort zone(aka Bay Area). To be honest, before Unilocalland, some of us didn’t leave our own cities, let alone the other nine bay area counties and beyond. I was ecstatic to get in, as we had booked our stay for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary in Reno(where we got married 12 years ago). We went for the cheesy Elvis theme, just not in Vegas. Love is love, no matter where you get hitched right? Right! Back to the YEE, the highlight of the evening was forming the High-Five Tunnel to welcome the team. It was a fun and family-friendly event, and our son even competed in a wacky relay during the game. He definitely made some friends; everyone in Reno was warm & welcoming, just as we remembered back in September when we were here for the Great Balloon Race. Thank you to all the staff at the Reno Events Center for an outstanding event. I will definitely be back with the family for more fun-filled sports, concerts, performances, and festivities. Shout out to Reno’s photog extraordinaire Chris Holloman for capturing all the Kodak moments, especially the quirky ones. He took some great videos as well. He had quite the setup — leave your selfie sticks at home: D ’Til we meet again ~ SYOYS
