My favorite Mexican restaurant, hands down! We have been going here for years and the owners, Tony and Clara are amazing. This small family owned business knows what they are doing. The food is amazing. My favorites are the crispy shrimp tacos, shrimp burrito, chicken burrito wet with red sauce and the chips are amazing. They make them fresh everyday! They are NOT from an over sized bag of tortilla chips from Costco. The ingredients are always nice and fresh. The restaurant itself is always very clean and very well taken care of. Love this place!

Good. Took a group of 8 before most were catching a flight. Service was kind, and quick enough. Order at counter, we ate kind of staggered since one person was preparing all of our plates obviously some were done before others. Food was very reasonably priced and enjoyable.

Still not sure why so many good reviews. But when a sales rep is buying from here I will eat it. Found out at 11 am no Chiles Rellenos. Apparently their«order» did not come in. So they do not make them, a freezer item from some vendor? Not made on site. So then I got a quesadilla, eh– says it comes with guac and sour cream. It was a runny guac spritz and another of watered down sour cream over wet lettuce. So not really. The Quesadilla was small and wet from the wet lettuce and runny guac and sour cream. Again, lunch for 11 people, one small bag of chips. I’m not buying it but still, just mediocre at best. Do not get the reviews. Our sales rep likes it so we all eat it, but strictly blah. So many places with great food. Plus it is pricy. Have eaten here about 7 times and it is the same very time. Have tried most all as have co workers and eh and blah.

Think Chipotle, only owned and operated by a cute local couple. When I came in for lunch, there was a decent line which, in my mind, is a good thing because people are willing to wait(and trust me, it was worth my wait!) you can order tacos, burritos, enchiladas ala carte or as plates. I got the chicken soft taco plate, and he makes them fresh in front of you. Definitely grab some lunch here, you won’t regret it!

We heard this was an outstanding Mexican restaurant. Needless to say we weren’t disappointed despite having to wait in line to place our order. All three of our meals were delicious. We highly recommend the chicken burrito & taco salad. Friendly staff… decent prices… amp, e servings… and most importantly… delicious food. We’ll be sure to go there again in our next visit to Reno.

January 23, 2016 Saturday — 1:00PM for lunch 3 adults Atmosphere — 5 stars Food — 5 stars Service — 5 stars Background — Picked up a friend at the airport and needed lunch. When my office was in the area this was a regular lunch spot but have not been here in years. Atmosphere — Part of a strange strip mall. It really is a Qdoba style taqueria way before they were on even knew of the place. Food Drinks — They have beer, Mexican beer of course. I had a Pacifico. My Main Course — Enchilada style burrito filled with steak and covered with their green song. You can get that burrito as meal which comes with rice and beans, but I knew that was going to be too much food for me. The steak were cut into little cubes and was so tender. I loved the enchilada style covered in that spicy green sauce. Service — The guy behind the counter making our food was a multitasking fool. His timing was always on point. After he was finished we took our plates to the cashier and ordered our drinks. Future — If in the area and craving Mexican food.

I would have never discovered Albita’s on my own were it not one of my boyfriend’s favorite places to eat lunch. Now it is one of my favorite lunch spots, too! Lots of other people like it, too, given the ten-person deep lines on some days. The service is very friendly, and I like that the owners always remember the orders of the regulars. My boyfriend always gets pork tacos and rice. I switch it up and try something new almost every time. The shrimp tacos are AMAZING. The nachos are hearty and delicious. The burritos are yummy. The enchiladas are tasty. There are so many beverage options: beer, a full range of sodas, both in cans and fountain-style, and the kinds of bottled drinks that one can purchase only in Mexican grocery stores. Two entrees and two drinks usually runs us $ 27 before tip. Albita’s has a great vibe to it. Lots of different people from different walks of life eat here: law enforcement, military folk, office-working people, day laborers. I like that there is booth seating and that the art on the walls makes sense. Going here for lunch always brightens my day.

Great food, friendly staff, fresh ingredients not much more I could ask for! A friend brought me here several years ago and I remember enjoying it a lot. I happened to be traveling by the airport during the lunch hours and saw their sign and out of excitement I made a quick sharp turn into the parking lot. I was hungry and wasn’t sure where I wanted to eat and I feel like I hit the jackpot ended up here. I’m glad that several years later they’re still doing great business and the food quality is still excellent. We got enchiladas, tacos and chips and salsa. Red sauce usually isn’t anything special but their red sauce is very flavorful and different. Everything looks and tastes homemade. It was so good I started to miss my aunts authentic cooking. Will absolutely come back!

Food made with love! It’s true that Albita’s is only open for lunch. But the staff here puts in a full 10 hour work day, preparing the ingredients they use in their meals fresh, daily. We had two hours to kill before our flight at the Reno Airport and Albita’s popped up on Unilocal as a quick lunch option. Just a 15 minute walk from the TSA gate and we found Albita’s hiding in a simple office complex. The lunch rush hadn’t started yet so I took my time figuring out my order. The guy behind the counter was patient while I decided and even folded up a fake burrito so I could get a sense of their serving size. It was big! and I wasn’t that hungry, but I went for it anyway. I got the shrimp burrito platter. They make the shrimp, unlike the rest of their meat, right when your order it. I had to wait like 3 mins, but it was so worth it! Delicious and juicy and sauteed with onions. My man got a regular steak burrito and it was devoured instantly. All in all a great meal. There was line going out the door by the time we finished, and it looked like a bit much for the one guy working the counter. So maybe this isn’t a ‘quick’ lunch spot, but it’s a great lunch spot. I’ll also say that their food is not cheap. The platter is best suited for dinner, as mine was $ 13. But remember, they’re only open for lunch! Who am I kidding though… if I did it all over, I’d probably order it again.

Great lunch spot near the airport. Warning! Can be addictive and they are only open for lunch. Burritos are epic. They have all the great meats and ingredients to make an awesome lunch. Faster than most restaurants. Call ahead at noon. They can get slammed fast.

For a place that’s only open during the lunch hours, this place is absolutely fantastic! You order while in line, which I think the only drawback to this place, but not enough to make it only 4-stars. If you hit the wrong time of lunch, you can be standing for a bit, but please don’t let this discourage you. If you’re in a hurry, call ahead and place your order! All the food is prepared right in front of you and made to order, so you get exactly what you want. All the meat is seasoned to perfection, and very tender. He can make your meal as spicy or mild as you like it, which is great for me as I tend to go the mild route, and the cook/owner is more than happy to walk you through any of the selections. The inside is very basic and not much of an atmosphere … but who has time to look around when you’re stuffing your face with incredible food? When it’s really busy with sit-down diners, it might be a little noisy. I don’t know how people can talk as I’m constantly shoving food down my throat and wondering if I should order more to go! My only wish is that they were open in the evening as I pass by on my way home. PS: My fav is the burritos … any kind of meat, you won’t be disappointed! By the way, do you love Coke in a glass bottle, like the old days? They have it, and more. They also have beer.

Albita’s… Oh how I’ve missed you! It’s been a long time since I’ve come in here, and for the life of me, I have no idea WHY! This small unpretentious husband and wife owned hole in the wall place, has the best shrimp tacos I’ve EVER had! Put your shirt sleeves up, and be prepared to experience the juiciest, tastiest yumminess to ever hit your mouth! When you walk in you order at the counter, and then they bring you your meal. It’s nothing fancy, but you’ll feel like you’ve put the best tasting shrimp in your mouth… Seriously!!! I’m going to stop writing now, so I can stuff my face!!! :-)

Best burritos in Reno. Tony makes all of them as you watch, and he takes pride in his work. I recommend the al pastor and the chili colorado.

Working at the airport this is a go-to spot for lunch. It’s one of the better Mexican food restaurants that I’ve had in Reno. The building is kind of tucked away in the back, so you can’t really see it from the street. It’s a great place for good food nonetheless.

I’ve been to a few Mexican restaurants in my time and they’ve always been the same. Dirty. Cluttered. Rude staff. This place however, is the polar opposite. If I’m ever in the mood for Mexican food and I’m in the area, I’ll be going here again.
