Pearlstone Center

Just attended a conference here last week. I was impressed with the Center from beginning to end.
Of note: the «budget» sleeping quarters reminded me of a mountain-​set chalet, with all wood interior, its own kitchen with stove and refrigerator, a reasonably large bathroom, a living room/​lounge area, and more than enough clean towels. Really more than I expected.
There is also an organic farm attached to the retreat center with vegetable rows, chickens, ducks, and goats. They served some produce from the farm at a couple of the meals.
And the meals were also impressive, with mostly vegetarian options and the occasional high quality meat. And there were always refreshments available for those moments when you need a snack.
The conference facilities themselves were also beautiful, from the large open hall on the first floor to the smaller meeting rooms to the ample rocking chairs on the porch around the main building.
Not to mention that the center is surrounded by forests, streams, and a pond.
Yep, it was epic.

I recently attended a business conference at Pearlstone. It is a georgeous retreat center off Mt. Gilead Road. It’s a little hard to find but worth it. I had to sit on the porch and drink my coffee because the facility is kosher. Who knew? Not this shiksha. It was fine by me — the view was beautiful. I felt like I was back in the Adirondacks with the rustic and mission-​style décor. The main building is very easily laid out and has a number of comfortable classrooms. My favorite part of the day was the lunch! Who knew koser could taste so yummy? Again, not this shiksha. They had a garlic bread, very interesting and tasty salad, an eggplant stuffed with something good and some sort of quiche thing. I am not a foody as you can tell but I know what I like — and I liked their food. It was all so good and comes directly from their farm.
