I heard great things about Rego Pita, so when I required a spread of Israeli specialities for my husbands birthday party I called and got Eli on the phone. No problem he said, I will give you a great assortment! I live in LIC, close Manhattan, but still far from the heart of Queens where all the kosher restaurants are so I was worried about getting the food in a fresh and timely manner. Eli did not let me down. Exactly at the time promised, The food was delivered hot and fresh to my door. HUGE kabobs, juicy baby chicken, delicious shawarma, fresh salads, rice, and some of the most amazing homemade kibbeh balls I’ve tried. More food than I could have imagined for a fair price. Everyone was raving about the food. Can’t wait to go to visit restaurant myself soon and try everything fresh off the grill. Thanks again!!!

I never leave reviews, but I have to say these guys are one in a million. They deserve 6 stars. Food is top notch, everything is fresh, quick delivery and great price. Ordinary, out of this world service! Highly recommended!

i ordered food for a delivery, i waited an hour to receive my food. they didn’t add any spicy sauce i asked them to do so. the guy who answers the phone is very rude and obnoxious. very bad customer service. and the reason why I’m still giving them a 3*** is because the food is not that bad, but can deff be better.

So my experience started on my first time eating here by ordering takeout & I was terrible and I gave it a second chance after the recommendation of my husband and I must say the burgers were the best I have had in a long time. So try the burger.

Serviceable falafel, freshly made, relatively healthy and tasted ok. The salad bar was below average. My friend had chicken cutlets, which looked ok. Priced well.

I came to max Brenner in NJ, at the Garden State Plaza, thinking I am going to devour the dessert, but all I got was lip and attitude from the girl at the register. My BF and I literally sat by the bar area in front of her waiting to order, she completely ignored us waiting on her, then took orders from ppl that came after us. When I asked her where the line started and why has she taken others orders before ours, her reply was the line is at the register, she was rude. Didn’t apologize, and kept moving and taking orders from others, needless to say we were literally the first costumers there. She needs a lesson in costumer service. She ruined my appetite for some delicious dessert, won’t be coming here for sure. I hope she gets fired.

Rego Pita is consistent, cheap, and a staple in the delivery rotation. The food is reliably good, tasty, and you can’t beat their salad bar if you dine-in. The staff are friendly, and especially good sports about making recommendations if you’re having a hard time deciding on what to order. The falafel here is delicious: crispy without being burnt, moist without being too oily, and flavorful without being too salty. The falafel sandwich is my go-to item, but the beef shish kabob sandwich is a close second: tender, well seasoned, and exceptionally juicy beef make it hard to resist. A solid choice that won’t disappoint!

The location on Unilocal is wrong! Its actually between 64th and 65th — we found out the hard way(calling after walking the wrong direction). The food and prices were good, you got your food fast and the salad section is really yummy.

This place was much more popular when Platinum, the old gym was around instead of Netcost(read my review for that store when you get a chance), but it still hasn’t lost its appeal, at least to me. About three blocks from my home, Rego Pita is the place to come when you’re craving some shwarma and just a laid back casual atmosphere. Mostly, I take my food to go from here. The owner is cool and friendly and they have great specials. I usually get the baby chicken shwarma which comes with fries and a soda pop which I usually substitute for water. The special for this is just ten dollars. Which keeps the humans around coming by every once in a while. I prefer this spot over many other shwarma joints around, because its just that good. Their pita is not too thick and their chicken always tastes fresh and they let you load up on salad. What’s not to like? Check it out Unilocalers.

Very good Falafel with pita sandwich. Just went there today, and its a nice place to just sit down and have a good lunch. The falafel was slightly crunchy and soft, which I really dig since its either extreme when I have ever ordered food from halal carts. The only thing I wish is if a drink came with the $ 5 falafel with pita special. Otherwise, definitely would come back. It seems like the kind of place that if you’re willing to put down $ 10 for a platter, it’ll be worth it. I’m glad to have found this since I moved to Rego Park about a month ago. Definitely a good place for halal food in Queens!

What I like about this place is the salad selection it’s really fresh and unique they don’t skimp on the quality. It’s all authentic. I also had the vegetable soup here it’s delicious they are using a lot of natural produce and it’s full of vegetables more vegetable than soup. Trust me on this one this place is a hidden Jen that makes great food for a very low price. If you are hungry, want quality, and are on a budget this is were you want to come. The Main Street spots don’t come close to this, I hate the main street spots, over priced and no substance.

I’ve come here a few times and I have left satisfied every single time. Great food, good service and great prices for the food. They don’t have the widest variety of salads and sauces but the essential ones for a shawarma place are here.

First time for a quick dinner and didnt know what to order but the young guy who was the coock and cashier saw me pick a platter and suggesed they have a combo special and it was best price on a overstuffed lamb shwarma with crispy fries and pick your own salad(choose and stack your own pickles, beet salad, cucumber salad, pickled cabage, picked hot pepper…) This will stuff you as I am a Big Eater and the pita was flowing out with lamb meat and fresh hot tomato sauce, hummus, and cucumbers salad… you can also pick others which was awesome. . Will go there again as everything tasted fresh and they also have fresh homemade tahini sauce and hot pepper sauce which I was addicted too… If your in Rego Park and in the mood for some Great Mediterranean food… Rego Pita is One the best in Rego Park!

One of the better falafel sandwiches to be found in Mid to outer Queens and we’ve tried MANY. Unfortunately Grill House is literally three blocks away so if we’re in this neighborhood we’ll almost always pick them instead. Only one where the falafel itself is better is Pahal Zan but they’re so absurdly overpriced for a tiny place that doesn’t even have tables we won’t be going back there ever. The $ 4.95 Falafel was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, light and flavorful on the inside. Pita is on the thick side, spread of hummus inside is complimentary, and the space under and over the falafel is filled with chunkier than avearage israeli cucumber/tomato salad. Nowhere near Manhattan’s best like Murray’s and Azuri(or even Mamoun’s for that matter) but well above par for the outer boroughs. We’re now favoring this over all of the following we’ve been to: Benny’s Naomi’s PitaHot Wafa’s Sizzle Pita Hot Avli Kati Allo Thing is for only a dollar more Grill House takes it to another level with how much they stuff inside their sandwich. We’ll still visit Grill Point when we want a sit down restaurant with table service, and Grill House is our pick for this neighborhood, but for a quick cheap bite Rego Pita is perfectly enjoyable.

Rego pita is an awesome place for those anytime hunger moments. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s possibly one of my favorite places to get original delicious juicy shawarma. Israeli owned and maintained to be Glatt kosher, I’ve found myself craving this place more than any other pita joint. And that says a lot because I live in proximity to numerous other shawarma restaurants but this one takes the cake. Every order comes with a small golden crispy French fry tray and a plate of to choose of any of the 8 in house made salads of choice. Mix and match all you want. The staff is super kind and the owner is a great guy. Always greets you and very inviting. Needless to say, I never leave this place hungry.

A really nice pita place on the bustling strip of Queens Boulevard. The flames on the banner outside dont really count into the rating, but are a very nice addition nonetheless. This place has kind of an «old-school» feel to it, they always give you salad and fries. They have a pretty wide selection of shawarmas and falafel, and the pitas are really fresh. The staff is actually pretty friendly from my experience. Always worth a visit to the area.
