Very poor quantity and tastes very ordinary. The interior is very appealing and the owner is very friendly.

Very happy to see a business with great owners who care about food quality, ambiance, and customer satisfaction. It’s rare on Woodheaven Blvd for a new restaurant to succeed, but if you eat here you will know why. Great friendly staff, and really good affordable Thai food. I might have to try their delivery on a week night! If you decide to go you must try the desert! Everything is plated beautifully.

Compliment to the chef serving us the tastiest dishes of Thai food we had in a long time… First of all we didn’t know it closes between lunch and dinner, we got there few minutes after closing, however thanks Amir and the owner taking us in and making our experience outstanding. Since we were the only table there we asked Amir and he recommended few dishes and we went right to business with lollipop chicken, veggie dumpling, shrimp and veggie puff, calamari… «We shared the apps between 3 of us and one was better then other» honestly I was being greedy and ate most of it since it was so good. For main dish I order the Basil Duck which was absolutely delicious with spicy sautéed veggies and the duck was juicy with crispy outside and a perfect portion. Also tried a little Steak Hunan curry of my friends dish which was okay but I’m not a steak person, he loved it! I can tell you that Hunan curry mix was on point I would love to try it with chicken next time. Far as dessert I didn’t wanted to look at the menu since I’m on a diet but what can I say Amir got us a complementary some sort of dessert. I was gonna eat one spoon but soon as I tasted it it game over and goodbye diet finished more then half… Oh yea forgot about 3 amazing house mix drink Non-Alcoholic cuz best of all its all HALAL!!! Im in NY every month and I will definitely return to this place years to come… Please reserve a table for 20 – 25 people July 9th found the perfect place to bring family over…

They don’t even deserve this star. Seriously imagine you go to a place with your family and you are told as you walk in Im sorry the kitchen is closed for 1 hour 15 minutes. This is suppose to be a NYC restaurant in a BUSY sector of queens!!! Obviously the owner of the establishment has so much money that he doesn’t want any from 3:45 to 5 pm. Be very aware of this because i wouldn’t want any one who is a foodie or a hungry individual to go through this experience.

I stumbled upon this gem right before I attended a paint nite right next door at Bridie’s Bar and Grill. While waiting for a friend to find parking I decided to check out Nur’s on Unilocal. After reading the great reviews we decided to only have drinks at Bridie’s and wait until the event was over to have dinner. The event was almost 2 hrs long needless to say we were starving! We walked in around 9 and were seated right away. I must say the place was pretty full for a Wednesday night. We decided to go with the Phucket sampler which was the perfect portion to share since there were three of us. We went with the Chicken Pad See Ew and an order of Pineapple chicken fried rice as our main entrée. For dessert we went with the Fried banana with honey and two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately, they do not serve alcohol but after throwing a few drinks back at Bridie’s we definitely didn’t mind. I have eaten at quite a few Thai restaurants and this was among the top places I’ve been to. There wasn’t one thing we ordered that I didn’t love. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Over all. if you are in the area and are a fan of Thai definitely try Nur’s and enjoy the beautiful décor, amazing food and great service.

Ehhh. I don’t know, maybe I’m not that into Thai. The food was more of a 3.5, i can only judge by one sitting though. The service and ambiance was good. I got the lunch special that came with the salad and spring roll and that was really good, I think my favorite part of the meal. I got the Thai rice and beef which was and my friend got the fried snapper fish which was nothing to brag about. The Thai cold tea was way too sweet for my liking.

I came here when the restaurant first opened. The food is very okay, and there isn’t really anything extraordinary about it. The food is complacently Thai and it seems like someone found the most popular Thai recipes and decided to make those, only. There are lots of easy choices, but nothing interesting. I docked a star for that. One thing that completely threw me off was the quality of the rice. The rice was not Jasmine, not pearly. Not sticky. And broken. It seemed like they were using low-quality rice and I think that’s an indicator of what the kitchen is allowed to serve, and forces me to question the quality of all their food. I docked a star for that. Also, the service was slow. There were barely any waiters, I had to wait for quite some time for a waiter to pass by or find someone across the room to make eye contact with — for water, for salt&pepper, for the check. I docked a star for that as well.

Everything about this restaurant was great! The drinks and food were delicious. I tried my friends’ mojitos, which I didn’t like too much, but that’s only because I prefer sweet drinks. I got the mango passion, I believe it was called, and it was amazing! For the main course I got the duck basil which was everything I expected it to be. It was favorable, tasty, filling, and tender. The service was exceptional. It was my friend’s birthday and the staff was extremely accommodating. They allowed us to keep our ice cream cake in the freezer, brought it out when we asked, and even played a birthday song while presenting it to my friend. You honestly can’t get more out of a restaurant. I’m definitely coming back if I’m ever in the area.

Food: 9 out of 10 Service: 9.5 out of 10 Cleanliness: 10 out of 10 Presentation: 9 out of 10 Overall this place is pretty awesome and the food is very authentic all though they have some modern/fusion things going on. THAIGER, the burger was very juicy and and the peanut sauce was just perfect with the brioche bun. My wife had the DUCKBASIL, it was a little too crispy but very fresh and pretty good. Everyone should try this place.

I have never been fully satisfied with the Thai places I have visited in New York(or elsewhere, for that matter). I suppose it has to do with the limited dishes I could order from a Thai place since I don’t eat pork. This place satisfies what I yearn for — an exotic meal without having to worry(too much) about what I am eating. It’s not ust a Thai restaurant that serves halal food — its a pretty damn good Thai restaurant, with that aside. Everything is made to degree of heat intensity and is flavorful. Prices are reasonable. Parking a little bit of a challenge — even on a weekday as this place is very popular. I have been there twice — and will return.

Unfortunately we only came here because the original Thai restaurant we wanted to eat at was closing soon and this place was open later. We decided to take a chance and try this place but we were disappointed. We got seated right away on a Friday night. Apps: Calamari– gross. Tasted like frozen calamari. Lollipop chicken– not great. I just ate one and wasn’t interested in having another. The sauces were really good. Entrees: Chicken pad Thai– decent, lots of taste but small portion. Rack of lamb– after being told it was really good by the waiter, we tried it. The portion was small for $ 18. The lamb was good. By the end of the meal, we were a little disappointed. Our waiter checked on us a couple times but seemed to be more interested in hanging out outside the restaurant. We won’t be coming back here but you learn from your mistakes right.

My husband and I just moved to Forest hills and have been searching for a thai restaurant to be our«favorite»… and we found it ! Nur Thai is a hidden gem. A small restaurant with a big heart. The owners/managers were so friendly and nice to talk to. They attended to every table personally, even though the restaurant was really busy. The amazing food was just an icing on this sweet cake. We ordered their Thai dumplings for appetizers. They were delicious. The sauce was a little bland for our taste buds, but nothing a little chilli paste couldnt fix ! For our entrees, my husband had their Massaman curry and I had their Khao soy special. They were both so good, that we didn’t wanna share ! ;P I have been a thai food aficionado since my grad school days and have searching for the perfect curry. Nur Thai aced the curry flavors and everything else. We cannot wait to try everything else on their menu ! A 10⁄10 for service, food and the wonderful atmosphere. And the biggest plus, we live within their delivery radius !!! SCORE !!! :D

Came back for a date night and wasn’t disappointed. Extremely kind staff from when we walked in the door to walking out. Food, as before, was DELICIOUS! Spouse & I kept talking about how good the food was over an hour after we left and have the flavors all«hit the spot». We decided to order the lamb chops & spicy basil duck again and have NOREGRETS because they were so good(I LOVETHEBASILDUCK!) I asked for extra sauce this time and it was perfect, even better then the last time I ordered it. My spouses lamb chops and potato portions were smaller then last time but they were still good and filling. Our new orders this time were the crab rangoon appetizer and the fried Nutella ice cream with fried bananas –YUM! The crab rangoon was good/ok, I don’t regret trying it, flavors were good, but I dont know if Id get it again. As for the fried ice cream, that was delicious and the Nutella ice cream was really good. fried bananas could have more flavor(maybe add some cinnamon/sugar to the banana before frying) but they were good as is. Over all, this place is awesome. I’d recommend it to everyone, I’ve only heard positive reviews from others and their prices and atmosphere seem to have everyone coming back for more. I only hope they keep everything as is and halal because I’m loving Nur Thai. –God bless you guys & good luck!

Having tried most of the Thai restaurants in Forest Hills, we decided to venture out a bit. Nur Thai had the most reviews and was most consistently rated high. We ordered our usual chicken pad thai and tofu pad see ew. We also ordered the pineapple fried rice and tom yum soup. While the pad thai and pad see ew was better than any place in Forest Hills, the pineapple fried rice was kind of bland and the tom yum soup was mediocre(and not worth ordering). Nur Thai is definitely our new go-to Thai spot(when we feel like driving!)!

Very cute and cozy halal-Muslim-Thai restaurant. We came in around 230 pm for lunch and was seated quickly. Because this is a halal-Muslim restaurant, no alcohol, which is fine by me. We started with a passion fruit mojito. Great flavor and taste. Refreshing and tasty. Lots of fresh lime and mint. A must order. We also had the lollipop chicken which was a pass. They stripped the chicken off the bones and minced it with a lot of fluff. Then reformed the chicken into balls and fried it. In addition, we had the spring rolls. Crispy outside. Not oily. Served with sweet spicy dipping. The spring rolls were filled with glass noodles and various veggies. Delicious. My boyfriend had the drunken noodle with chicken. Lots of flavor and great chew to the noodles. I had the tofu broccoli in garlic sauce with a side of jasmine rice. Not bad. Lots of garlic. Too much black pepper. I would come back!

Appetizers: we had their spring rolls, firecracker shrimp and lollipop chicken(not a fan of the sauce it came with, everything was served piping hot, came in small portions relative to their price, tasted really good(firecracker shrimp were our favorite) but we might have to try the other appetizers to see what’s better, read rave reviews about their chicken satay, dumplings and wings but we’ll have to try it and see. 3.5÷5 Main course: basil fried rice, spicy basil chicken and their rack of lamb with massaman curry, all were 5⁄5 on taste, flavor, presentation, portions are a tad small but make up for it in terms of taste, will definitely be back to have this and sample even more! Dessert: we had their fried ice cream and their molten lava cake with green tea ice cream, both were really good but we were too stuffed from our meal to actually enjoy the dessert 4⁄5 Drinks: mint mojito and Thai ice tea, both were perfect! 5⁄5! Super friendly staff and the owner/chef? even came out to ask us if everything was okay and was asking for honest feedback, hope this establishment does well and lasts!

Yesss. A halal Thai establishment. Bring on the duck/chicken/beef. :D The service: Nice. 9⁄10 Our host gave us a brief overview of the menu: popular entrees, drinks, and desserts. Very patient and friendly. The food: flavorful! 8⁄10 Appetizers: the chicken lollipop I would skip; It’s just like a mashed chicken kebab. not exactly the saucy drumstick I was waiting for. The Tom yum soup I would definitely recommend. It was so good! Entrees: Most memorable was the duck basil and beef stirfry. Green curry I did not enjoy too much as I found the coconut to be a bit overpowering. Then again, I dislike coconut based curries, so a little biased here. The spicy basil noodles was pretty good too. Drinks: Mango mojito was super refreshing. Highly recommend it. The Thai iced tea was nothing spectacular. just your ordinary tea but enjoyable nonetheless. Dessert: green tea ice cream was really good! Décor: 8⁄10 Pretty interior but I wish the music was a softer selection rather than the RnB/Pop music that was playing. All in all, a restaurant worth checking out! I will be back for sure.

New Thai restaurant in the busy street of Woodhaven boulevard. Busy with cars. Although in the location with other restaurants like Pio Pio, it was a quiet Saturday for this restaurant. We were the only customers when we arrived and still the only ones there after we paid. Food was spectacular. The spices were authentic just like the Thai spices used in Thailand. Portions are small but hits the spot. Thai ice tea wasn’t too sweet(which is perfect for my palate), although it can have a tad more tea flavor. The only thing that irked us was the menu. The first page showed the lunch menu. Mind you, we were there at 1140am and since we saw that first page, we expected the lunch special. We orders the Thai ice tea first, then the waiter tells us, «oh by the way, the lunch menu isn’t available during weekends.» We expressed that it wasn’t stated in the menu and he apologized. Nice tactics dude. So we order from the regular menu which isn’t crazy expensive but we don’t like to be «tricked.» Other than that, food had authentic taste. Good luck with the quiet streets of Woodhaven.

Have passed by this place for months prior to its opening and was excited to get a Thai restaurant in the area. Went on Unilocal to see what Thai place was around since our regular one closed and saw that Nur has opened. Didn’t read the reviews but saw they were all 4 – 5 stars so I told my friend to try them today. We got there around 4:15 and they were closed. They reopened 5:00. Whatever would we for for 45 mins in that area lol. We drove to Juniper Park for a walk and drove back at 5:00. There was a family dining there when we returned. The place is nicely done and I love the color of the wall. Very different. It’s clean and spacious. Don’t walk in expecting Asian staff(except in the kitchen). The waiter came immediately with menus while we chose where we wanted to sit and asked what type of water we wanted. He asked if we were familiar with Thai food and what told us their specialties. Also recommended the Phuket Sampler which we ordered. For entrees we got beef pad see ew and chicken red thunder fried rice. Sampler was small compared to other samplers I’ve had. Came with two pieces each of spring rolls, firecracker shrimp, steamed dumplings, and jade curry puffs. The spring rolls need to be filled with more filling, firecracker shrimp pretty good but lacks something, steamed dumplings were good, and jade curry puffs were my fave but were teeny. Their curry puffs were practically dumpling size. Significantly smaller than other curry puffs I’ve had. Pad see ew pretty good, but felt the noodles were just a bit«stiff». The fried rice was very good and different from what I’ve had. Also felt the rice was a little dry. Other than that, the taste was pretty solid. Again, portion on the small side. The service was good. I will definitely come back to try the Thaiger aka Thai burger.
