I ordered the diet special(steamed triple delight with chicken, beef, and mixed vegetables) The menu reads«all steamed without oil, salt, sugar, MSG or starch) The chicken and beef are laced with MSG. I know this because I have an immune sensitivity to MSG and I had a skin reaction. So they clearly LIED. When I called them back and asked if they put MSG. They lied, of course. This place = NEVERAGAIN.

I order take out from this restaurant all the time. The staff is friendly and they never get my order wrong. They are quick and the food tastes great. This is the only Chinese food restaurant I order from in this neighborhood. No complaints so far!

This is a go to spot when ever I’m at my frieda place. Never disappoints. I always get the fried dumplings and bbq spare ribs. Amazing. Better than regular Chinese fast food joints out there. If you are in the neighborhood. Stop in.

It is a good choice for the lazy people like me. Fast delivery & fair price. Their Asian food is not the best in NYC, but good enough in my area. Will order again.

They have 1 menu for Thai and one for Chinese. I ordered from the Thai. Delivery was obnoxious – the guy started ringing on the doorbell nonstop without waiting for the person to pick up. My doorbell wasn’t working so when I said I was walking down to the lobby – he still rang every buzzer in the building, nonstop(like press the button and won’t let go til someone buzzes him in). Food was awful. Everything had a nasty fishy after taste, even the iced tea. The Thai iced tea tasted spoiled. NEVEREVERAGAIN!

Interesting my wife’s Unilocal review was pulled using the filtering system and not considered in the overall rating. If the owner actually logs in, the truth hurts, doesn’t it. Here’s the original review from 2009: What happened? I’ll tell you — the owner sold out three months or so ago and Fujian folks are just running it into the ground. They raised the prices, lowered the amount and quality of the food — and the décor — well let’s not go there. My husband and I have eaten there for 10 years and it was a relaxed environment with good Cantonese style food. Now it’s some version of American mall food with so little rice it’s laughable. I bought a new rice cooker and we eat at home now.

I just ordered some take out from this place last night, and holy moly was the food bad. Dumplings felt just. old. I also ordered a pad thai which had no flavor. I was pretty hungry but I ended up throwing it all away. in fact it was so bad I created this Unilocal account just so i can warn others from going with this place, hopefully this saves someone some time money and annoyance. How can even something as bad as this still exist?

Pretty much everything the previous reviewer wrote is correct. After the change in owners, this place sucks. I actually liked the previous owners because they could cook the food pretty darn good and it was close to being authentic, not bad for a typical chinese take out. Very fair prices, no tax and sometimes a free can of soda! Now they raised the prices and charge tax and no free soda for me! =( The new owners are not very amicable either, can someone recommend a good take out place in the rego park area now?

This place is no longer L n K, it’s called East King. When it was L n K, I would’ve given them 3 stars. Now it’s 1 star. They couldn’t even get the basic Beef chow fun right. It was totally dry and lacking flavor. I think they changed management late last year around Nov or Dec. Anyways no improvements and they didn’t even change their awning. The food wasn’t even that good when it was L n K but at least they had a small section of classic home style Chinese food. Now they’ve gotten rid of it on their menu and incorporated some Thai dishes. I don’t know what that’s about. I don’t think they changed the signage yet or the phone number, because they were hoping to take over the old customers. Not a good idea. I walk past and see this place empty all the time. I now get my fast food Chinese from Andy’s seafood.

This place is horrid!!! I ordered after seeing the other review here hoping I could find a decent chinese rest close by. I literally threw 85% of the meal away. The steamed dumplings are just plain vile. I ordered a beef w/broccoli combo and it had no flavor at all. The rice was mushy and over done. The beef w/broccoli had no flavor and a super watery sauce. I didnt even get to the eggroll, it went into the trash with the combo and dumplings. I also ordered wonton soup, how do screw up soup??? I dont know but they managed. It was edible but flavorless. If you have read my other reviews, then you know Im a picky SOB with Chinese food but this isnt even close to acceptable. I would go back to EMW before I ordered from here again.

This is my go to chinese fast food place in my neighborhood. There are closer places but this always hits the spot. The dishes are very close to authentic Cantonese home cooking. The fried chicken wings are so good. I order them every time and the lady behind the counter now knows me as the«wings guy». Combined with an order of beef and broccoli and you’ve got most of your basic food groups. OK i keep telling myself that to repress the guilt of eating here every week.
