Id almost forgotten about this place and now it’s dead. Doesnt seem many of the kiosk fronts on the square survive well. They used to make a really solid iced chai. Guess they expanded into more than drinks with yogurt and such. Well if any of the decent small coffee establishments could just stick around.

Since our office relocated to Redwood City, I’ve been looking for a independent coffee place within walking distance that serves good, reliable coffee. I was excited to try The Daily Boost after seeing the rave reviews and finding out that they are fair trade and organic. After lunch, my coworkers and I stopped by the little kiosk and ordered iced lattes. While our drinks were being made, I decided to talk to the barista to find out more about their beans and where they source them from, thinking he would be proud to tell me about it since they boast about the whole fair trade thing. Imagine my surprise when he politely told me that that was information he could not divulge. «I can only tell you they’re from Africa.» I’m no expert, but I don’t think very much from Africa is fair trade… not the most helpful. I wouldn’t have thought much more of the matter if the coffee was as good as everyone says it is, but I’m sorry to report that our lattes tasted a bit like the bottom of a coffee pot. I might stop by again to try their tea, but for coffee, guess I’ll have to keep looking.

Best Greek salads and smoothies I’ve ever had. It’s amazing what good and healthy things come from a small shop. And great atmosphere on the Square. My co-workers know I’m such a fan that they asked the Daily Boost to cater my bridal shower!

Stale old coffee, flavorless ice tea and rude employees. Just want i’m looking for in a coffee shop. Don’t waste your time or money here, walk over to the Pamplemousse or Tartine.

The best coffee in Redwood City. The lady will even ask you if you want a dry or wet cappuccino and that basically never happens anywhere else. Go here for great coffee. Nice location on the square.

I love to stop in the morning or during lunch at The Daily Boost — and sometimes I go by twice in a day!(Coffee in the morning and a smoothie for lunch.) Everyone there is so cheerful and some times even the owner is there«juicing» away. The quality is topnotch and they are organic too. During the summer concert series I love stopping by. During lunch rushes and the summer concerts expect a little bit of a wait and the Daily Boost gets bombarded with people. For all the freshness and top quality ingredients they manage to keep the price reasonable.(No more expensive than a Starbuck’s or Peet’s.) I’d recommend this to everyone!

Literally have just returned from grabbing a late lunch with a friend. I grabbed some really good iced tea here(blueberry rooibos) a few months back. Today I had their wild rose tea(iced) and tried their Caprese(fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil) sandwich. Now the tea was spot on but their sandwiches eh not so much. When she said sourdough I thought I’d be getting something resembling a baguette but it look more like two slices of wonder bread. For the price and what we got, the sandwiches weren’t up to par but the tea is still fabulous. From all the raves about the coffee I will definitely be coming back to try the coffee. But overall a great place to grab a cold or hot drink any time of the year.

Daily boost prolly a great café in this area to get organic, healthy and delicious sandwiches but that’s not why I love going to the place. This place probably has the best coffee in the entire bay area. My personal favorite is called«Obama on the beach» — hey even the republicans love it ;-). The owner is very sociable and friendly which made the whole experience enjoyable. Whenever I am in redwood city visiting friends, I make it a point to stop by for good coffee at the daily boost. I cant recommend this place enough!

Best café ever! The owner is super friendly, and she serves some of the best coffee I have ever had. My personal favorites are the Almond Rocca Mocha and the Obama on the Beach. I used to go to The Daily Boost daily, but since I no longer work in downtown Redwood City, I am left jonsing for coffee. Words fail me in adequately describing this place. Great people and great food, what else could one want?

Wow, I was feeling totally under the weather, even though its gorgeous sunshine outside… go figure! Ruhina hooked me up with some Peppermint tea, so I’m thinking wow… Hippie tea herbal blah blah blah… the funny thing was… ITWORKED! Not only did it taste good, cleared out my throat and sinus. Ruhina I owe you big time!

An organic café next to the court house, woohoo! On a sunny day, it’s a joyful experience to sunbathe in the outdoor table and chair, and start your day with the delicious breakfast. The café is a tan square box, and dinning area is almost all outdoor. Their menu is posted on the window. I had a great breakfast sandwich with English muffin, ham & cheese omelet with herbs(dill?) and a super latte. The girl who served me was very pleasant. It’s far more personal and unique than the nearby Pete’s or Starbucks! This is one more reason why I like Redwood city’s downtown.

Yummy! I visited this little stand in front of the Redwood City courthouse for the first time yesterday. They are not open on Sundays, but the owner was there cleaning shop and she was nice enough to make smoothies for us anyway. I wish I got her name. My friend had the Pink Drink and I had the the Apple Pear Bear. The smoothies were made with fresh fruit and yogurt. They were delicious and tasted far healthier and better than the Jamba Juice over-sweetened crap. I am definitely going to return to try her other smoothies. Green and socially conscious, she uses plastic cups made from corn that can be composted and uses free trade coffee beans. So far she deserves a five star rating.

This little coffee shop is in such a great location, right next to the courthouse square. I love the fact that all of their coffee, milk, and syrups are organic and fair trade. I ordered a Mexican Mocha Blanc(white chocolate mocha with cinnamon) and it was delicious. All of the girls who work here are incredibly sweet and helpful. This place is a nice addition to downtown RWC.

Fro-yo girl here. I returned to Daily Boost to find out more about their frozen yogurt. She said that I could add my choice of fresh fruits to it along with granola. I wasn’t sure of what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the parfait style concoction that I received($ 3.75). I chose to have fresh berries and received a generous amount of fresh cranberries(I’ve never had these with frozen yogurt), strawberries, tiny blueberries and raspberries. They put some berries on the bottom, then added a couple of scoops of frozen yogurt, and then topped it off with more fresh fruit. So the fro-yo is not soft serve style even though I was told they were getting a yogurt machine(maybe it still hasn’t arrived). Though she told me it was«plain», I know it was vanilla. It was similar to vanilla ice cream only not as creamy. The vanilla flavor was mild and pleasant. You can get the same deal(granola + fruit) with plain, non-frozen yogurt. They also had kiwi, pineapple, papaya, and watermelon, but no mochi balls, chips and other non-fruit toppings. I’m not as excited about the non-soft serve fro-yo but it was a nice, filling treat. I also tried their turkey sandwich with Swiss cheese on nine grain bread(you choose the meat, cheese and bread), $ 4.75. It’s a small sandwich — the bread choices include English muffin, croissant, etc. so that gives you a sense of the size. It’s nice but not special — it comes with lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayo. The bread was toasted and seemed healthy(with seeds). The bread was actually too hard. I like the compostable packaging but it’s not clear where to throw it away to make sure that it actually is composted. You know you love me. X0X0, fro-yo girl.

Friendly, affordable and delicious — oh and organic too! They’ve got a good selection of tasty sandwiches, snacks and coffee drinks. They’re a welcome addition to the scene in downtown RWC. Looking forward to visiting often for a quick bite or coffee.

They’re now open. Rohina(sp?) was the«barista» for the drinks and the ladies were quite pleasant and the drink was good. ;-) Since almost noone knows about them yet, it’s easy to walk up to either window and get a smoothie or a coffee(etc) and a snack. Tasted good and the prices are reasonable. Le Boulanger is across the street too! It’s cool(funny?) that they can fit so much in such a small place. I do not know if their WiFi works or not. I think some of their hours might be longer on Friday and Saturday than Lolia posted.

The Daily Boost is open 6am on weekdays and 7am on weekends, and they close at 7pm everyday but Friday and Saturday when they close at 10pm. Their smoothies are delicious and fresh. I had a tasty watermelon cooler and it was wonderful. As Scott L. pointed out, there’s no wait — just walk right up and get your drink fresh. The seating is fantastic — right in front of the courthouse. Very relaxing.

I know the owner personally and am watching her put so much into the place. I was excited before she even started and now seeing all the hard work and dedication she has given to the place, I am TOTALLYEXCITED to see it open. Cant wait to get my first drink at this place. Its so close to the movie theater, and conveniently located as far as parking, food and entertainment. See you there.
