I have come in here multiple times looking for older horror movies. Both times I have been able to find exactly what I have wanted, and they have always been relatively inexpensive. The selection of CDs, records, and movies is quite good. Similarly they have older video games, but their selection isn’t the best. It appears that they have a ton of Xbox/PlayStation games throughout the generations but I have not really looked at them much. The guy who has been there working is always very friendly. I will most likely come here every few weeks to get my movie fill.

Decent amount of inventory but the service has been really poor every time my girlfriend and I have walked in. The second we walk in I come up to the counter and engage in conversation and say hey there I called earlier today about possibly trading in some nintendo stuff plus some games and the guy with the long hair or ponytail says no you didn’t. I just sit there and think to myself really? your having that bad of a day lol I think I know if I called bud. I guess he got mad that I did not want to only sell him the games I brought in but If you are rude to the very few customers that walk in what makes you think they are going to keep coming back or even want to do business if its not a good experience, I would just recommend going to game world in san jose and just suck up the extra drive. Way more inventory and a bit more engagement to customers they don’t just sit at the computer silent making things awkward every time, I couldn’t help but shake my head at this experience lol it was just sad, hopefully it improves.

I come here every week for a cd. This place is awesome. Theres a huge selection of music, movies, and comic books here. Sometimes I stop by to see what the score of the game is too. This place rocks, I gotta love it. I Come here a lot. They have a huuuuuuuuuge selection.

Walked in there almost a year ago with an intention to walk out after five minutes, but the awesome music and great horror movie selection kept me way longer. Oh, I also ended up marrying that cute Salvadorian guy behind the counter, Anthony.

Was looking for a specific movie from about 10 years ago and they had it! Used and $ 2.95. A good deal and friendly staff. It sucks that there are not many places these days that sell older movies locally.

Went in thinking that we could rent a dvd — something that is almost impossible to do anymore. As it turns out, they only had the movies we wanted for sale. BUT, they were for sale at $ 2.99 !!! So we bought them. The guy behind the counter was very helpful. The selection is largely limited to movies that are not as up-to-the-same year recent, but still, very good value. Great fish tank, too! I ended up buying a Blue Ray disc while I was there, to bring home. It was such good value.

Bought an NES game and NES controller. Both were in bad shape. The controller didn’t register when pressing left, was sticky on all other directions. Not all worthy of sale, a total rip off. The game I bought doesn’t work, boots to a broken screen. Makes me wish I asked to try both before walking out. Seems like they would offer that, and my advice to anyone is to ask to confirm it works, see it with your own eyes. I will try to get a return tomorrow. I won’t be back. The guy selling the stuff was nice enough, even if the products were broken and not worthy of sale.

I agree with Jonathan A.‘s review. It’s great that they continue to carry older used games that GameStop no longer carries. But the employees really don’t seem very happy and one current employee, Anthony, is the worst. Don’t try to negotaite, even a little, on an old used game item, or Anthony will get crazy pissed off. Go in when Chris is there, he’s substancially nicer.

Planet Mix has a great variety of new and vintage video games. They also have a huge selection of movies, vinyls and Cd’s. The games and movies are a lot cheaper than most retailers. The staff there is very friendly and knowledgeable. They also buy new and used video games, consoles, and movies from you for either cash or store credit. My friends and I love to come here at least once a week to check out their merchandise.

I used to go to this shop years ago and they had a great selection of vintage video games and game systems, but I went in there recently and I couldn’t find anything worth while. I mean, sure, you guys have used PS3, XBOX360 and Wii games, but so does every other video game store around. I liked it better when you guys focused on the old, rather than new. Also, it’s kind of turning into a second record shop… that’s cool and all, but I thought you were supposed to focus on video games. Another thing that I noticed is that there’s never anyone friendly working in that shop of late. I used to have good conversations with the employees working there years back, but now I can hardly get a «Hello» when I walk into the shop. And during my last visit I told the employee to «Have a good night» and all he responded with was: «Yeah.» I’m sorry if you’re sick of your job, but at the very least you could work on your customer service skills. Thoughts about returning to this place? I think not. Go to GameStop… sadly, they have a better selection of vintage games.

Puzzled by this place having no reviews. Planet Mix has a huge selection of used DVDs for peantus, my personal favorite is all of the $ 5 dollar Vinyl they have — which is actually an extension of The Record Man’s back stock located just out front. The staff is always friendly and I find it hard to stay away — one local business I am always happy to keep in business :)
