Minh’s Hairstyle

I just moved here a month ago and needed a simple haircut. I walked in, and Minh was great! Super nice guy to talk to and the haircut was real quick and looked great! Definitely will be returning and recommend!

My husband and son were in dire need of haircuts, and when I read the Unilocal reviews it sounded like this might be our new place. Minh is lovely and did a great job. Will be back!

I discovered this nail salon driving by after another commitment nearby. I thought the parking was limited, but it turns out that there are lots of metered spaces in the adjacent block for 25 cents an hour. I agree with other posters that this salon is clean, light, friendly and delivers a great service at a reasonable price.

A friend recommended this place as I have been searching for a new stylist for the past 2 years. I am a stickler when it comes to my hair and my appearance, and I have been trying salon after salon ever since my previous stylist called it quits. To my disappointment, none of those salons panned out until this place.
I was a little hesitant, at first, to go in upon arriving because the salon front was located in an older building. Again, never judge a book by it’s cover. Upon walking through the front door, I was pleasantly surprise. The décor was new and clean, and I was immediately greeted by two people. Instantly, this place gave me a very comfortable vibe.
My stylist’s name was LeAnn. She was very friendly and attentive toward my needs. I wanted to first color my grays, and then get a layered cut. Wow, the hair color product they use was odorless, odorless! I usually hold my breathe whenever I get my hair colored as I hate the pungent smell of peroxide, but not this time.
After coloring, LeAnn cut my hair. Her scissor skills are impeccable, and was very happy with the cut and style. Oh one thing I want to add is that LeAnn’s scalp massage during shampooing is so relaxing. She truly has magic hands!
Before coming to Minh’s Salon, I have little hopes of finding a right stylist for me. Now I truly believe that I have found have found her. BTW, the prices are exceptional for the kind of service and professionalism that this place provides. Go and check it out for yourself. Definite double thumbs up!

Minh is wonderful! He really listens to you when you tell him what you want, and then he goes about creating his work of art on top of your head in record time. I was in and out in just over ten minutes, and my hair looks great! I’ll be going back to Minh as long as I live in the area.

Minh gave me a great haircut. He was very nice and attentive from the time I came in until the time I left. He also served me warm tea during the short time I was waiting. I was treated like an old friend and left with my hair looking sharp. Thank you!

Not the best place to get a women’s haircut. I ended up liking what the lady did after I got home and restyled what she did. Another story of cutting WAY too much off and it didn’t end up looking like any of the pictures I brought. She wasn’t very good at listening and she was more interested in talking me into color than listening to the haircut I wanted.

Minh is marvelous!
He’ll give you a great cut at a great price — and he’s one of the nicest, most affable gentlemen you will ever meet.
His new location in Redwood City is totally convenient to El Camino if you’re coming from the west side, and 101 /​Veterans Blvd if you’re coming from the east side or the freeway.
I’m so glad I met Minh. You will be too.

He just moved to a bigger location in Redwood City. The salon is really nice, modern looking, and spacious. His prices are also super reasonable! Great dude, great location, great service, I couldn’t ask for anything more!

Best value for the price. Can’t be too picky about your hair but he uses clippers on the side and scissors on top. Much better than Sports Clips or Great Clips. Call to make appointment.

Best barber I’ve been to in the Bay Area, and I have all of you other Unilocal reviewers to thank for the good advice! He does an efficient, thorough job for a really reasonable rate. Make sure you call in advance and request a specific time, he stays busy.

Men’s haircuts are only $ 15, and women’s are only $ 20.
I got my first hair cut at Stanford Hair in Tressider Union because I was not familiar with the area. The lady who cut my hair did not know what she was doing (she even told me she did not have experience cutting Asian hair), was extremely slow, and was absurdly expensive ($ 30, not including tip!). I was extremely dissatisfied, and I vowed never to come back.
Minh is the complete opposite and hands-​down the best option in the area for those
at Stanford. I found Minh on Unilocal after my first (and only) haircut at Stanford Hair,
and I have always gone to Minh ever since. He is located in the back of the Beauty Avenue cosmetics store. I thought it was a bit shady at first, but I was welcomed by Minh’s hospitality. He will get to know your name, discuss the best approach with you for cutting your hair, and even give you a hug at the end of the haircut!
Minh will take walk-​ins, but I recommend scheduling an appointment because he is
popular and will get busy. Minh will also prioritize his appointments ahead of walk–
ins.
SUMMARY: Minh is one of the best hairstylists in the Stanford/​Palo Alto area, and
the best option for those at Stanford. He is quick, friendly, located within biking
distance to Stanford, and cheap. I recommend more for men’s haircut!

Just walked in and got a beautiful haircut! Everyone was so friendly and they used awesome products. I also got some great tips to make my hair healthier. Also, for the price this place cannot be beat!
