The workers are very nice, sandwiches are good, but I’ve had better bakery goods. This place isn’t too bad

They make good coffee and some of the tastiest treats. The coffee goes good with a croissant with ham and cheese. I always come here if I need to get treats for myself or someone special for a special day.

OMG! I would eat here everyday if I could! Excellent sandwiches and the salads are equally divine! I love the Turkey and Tri-tip sandwiches and the chicken salad. The soups are great and they are known for their desserts. Macaroons, tarts, eclairs, brûlée, just pace yourself. About $ 11.00 for a huge sandwich with some greens and a tasty house dressing is a fab lunch. Call ahead during lunch rush because there will be a line.

Ok, this is a tough review because my issue isn’t with the food or service. Let’s start with what is excellent. I have tried sandwiches, salads, soup of the day, and assorted pastries. Every item is so fresh and so good. The food is 5 star. This is order at the counter, so self serve and find a seat. What I find tough and disappointing at times is I have wanted to go in, however parking can be impossible to find at times. As this place gets more popular, the harder it is to get in.

This place is tucked back in a industrial area. The deserts were beautiful and tasted great. You would think that that are super sweet but they are not. Loved them. Have all ready planned on taking my wife there next time we head up there.

Got way too excited when Costco started selling Cocola macarons in boxes of 12. I’ve only been to this location a couple of times but remember not liking any of their macarons the first time around. Too dry but their cakes are moist and not overly sweet. For some reason I like the Costco ones better than the ones I tried in the bakery so they’re always chilling in my fridge :)

Delicious quiche and sandwiches for lunch. Quiche is large but does not come with salad. Very savory! Not many places to sit to eat in, great for picnics, lunch at your desk, or takeaway. Visually beautiful tarts and deserts, haven’t tried. The mini maroons are light and delicious, coffee is my favorite.

Not impressed. I was excited to try a new French bakery and was craving a croissant. The display looked promising with a good selection of croissants(ham and cheese, chocolate, almond, butter) and some cinnamon rolls, muffins, pound cakes and macaroons. I decided to go with the almond croissant. Looked good but when I bit into it was dry and had no almond paste inside. Bleh terrible. I threw the rest away. What a waste of $ 3.10. Boo.

I just ate here again and couldn’t stop myself from writing a review anymore! The food is so fresh and yummy! Tried the eggplant sandwich and the mushroom sandwich, heavenly amazing. Soups change everyday but they are homemade fresh and super healthy. The spinach lentil soup is delicious! The prices are very reasonable, service is friendly. Seating is very limited, but most people do take outs. Their coffees are very nice too. Parking spots are easily available in the small lot or on the street. Despite being a tiny place(this is Cocola’s kitchen), there is never a massive queue. Great place to have fresh lunch.

Portobello mushroom sandwich never fails! The bread used is so yummy; with a nice chew to it and a golden brown, crunchy exterior. It held up really well to the viniagrette dressed mushrooms and peppers. Be sure to come early or order in advance because once the bread is gone, it’s substituted with a French baguette. Trust me– it just isn’t the same. The only qualm– they use the balsamic dressing served with their side salads as the marinade to the mushrooms. I wish they’d change it up to keep it interesting instead of one noted. However, I’d still stan order this sandwich. Don’t leave without picking up desserts since they’re known for their decadent array of sweets. My favorites so far is their triple chocolate mousse and banana chocolate crunch dessert. I’m generally not a fan of banana desserts but theirs was delicious and offered a nice textural contrast to the silky texture with it’s crunchy layers. It’s a must and a pleasant surprise! Keep in mind, this location is primarily used for mass food production supplying their brick and mortar cafes across the bay so don’t expect a large, expansive café. They have a small dining area to the back left, but not large enough for big groups lunching. Again, it’s best to order ahead or take out.

Awesome place that produces and supplies their swanky, line-out-the-door, Palo Alto and Santana Row locations. Get it from the source! Great: Tuna nicoise Salmon croissant Quiche Mango mousse Pineapple coconut twist Pretty good but i wouldn’t get again: Tomato tarragon soup Crème brûlée Crunchy banana

Midweek was a downer to find sizable crack on front windshield. I luckily found Hi Tech Autoglass(also 5 star place) and the owner nicely recommended this place while I wait. I wasn’t expecting such a cute and delicious spot in this area. The mocha was already exceeding expectations but to have fresh brioche along w fresh pastries to take home was an added bonus! The lady was very as sweet as their delicious treats! Thank you Cocola for your wonderful place, A+ on all counts!

Everything looks great and I had pretty high expectations coming in, but it all tasted a bit above average to my brother and I. I still have high hopes for their sweets, and I’d go back to try more. This review only reflects our opinion of 2 dishes and a coffee. Almond cake was dry and lacking flavor. Apple tart was really cold and didn’t taste fresh. Expected better and fresher tasting sweets. Mocha was good though! And we look forward to going back and trying more of their food.

Was getting my car worked on around the corner and needed a bite to eat while I waited and stumbled into this place. I ordered what I thought would be a simple turkey sandwich(their menu needs more details). Turns out it was far from simple, it was delicious. It even came with a small, simple side salad. All for a reasonable price. Did not have the change to try any of the baked goods.

If I ate at Cocola every day, I would be fat. Everything they make, bake, or create is AMAZING! Mmm– their croissants are screamin’, their pineapple & coconut cream twists are addictive, their French Macaroons make me want to try every flavor(which I practically have coconut, hazelnut, lavender, rose) Incredible! Don’t even consider trying any of their sandwiches, you may end up putting them on speed dial for a fast take out order to pick up…(I avoid this at all costs). Wow! There has been a short line every time I’ve popped in, but it moves at a descent pace and it’s well worth the wait. I love the fact that they exist, but hate it at the same time, because their products are so hard to resist! Good Luck & Enjoy!

Very good place. I ordered the Chocolate Hazelnut cake and it was soft, delicious, and very well presented. A little expensive, but it was delicious. My co-workers have ordered Tiramisu and Chocolate Pudding like cake that were really good. I have not ordered anything else like the sandwiches or macarons, but they should be great. Service was fine, no problem. It’s a little pricey for the tasty treats, but it’s not overly sweet like other cakes. If you want to impress friends or your special lady friends, this place will do it for ya! Overall: Great food, good service, a bit pricey

The perk of living in an industrial area, you ask? All the delights of the Cocola Magic with their exquisite pastries, sinful espresso drinks, and menagerie of delectable sandwiches to choose from. A salmon croissant? How about a chicken Olivier?(It’s a chicken salad sandwich) Enjoy it outside at their cute little rustic tables(yes, overlooking the industrial park and bay road lol) with your café Bianca or your Deep River Aged Cheddar Horseradish chips! The staff is friendly and you get all the great service you’d get at the Santana Row location without the long lines and standing room only. Just off the 101 at Woodside, so perfect for the Pacific Shores Office Park folks to skip over and partake. And… THE special outing for my new little one and I to walk to when we need to get out of the house and don’t wanna drive anywhere ;) Yum!

Not your usual location for a Bakery this Cocola is located in an industrial area of Redwood City and is a tiny storefront to their main Kitchen which provides items for the Palo Alto location. The means that the food comes to you fresher. The selection is smaller than the Palo Alto location but you can still get Sandwiches, Soup and a a number of their baked goods — Macaron’s, Cakes, Muffins, Pastries and Quiche. If no one is in the front of the store there is a bell to ring for service which I found to be very friendly. I opted for a small selection to share with my Husband(as always). The gentleman serving was quick and packed all of the items up nicely in a large box, I do think however there was some sort of misunderstanding though as the Mango Macaron I asked for was replaced with Pistachio. Not a big deal, mistakes happen. * Hazelnut Cake(Le Sultan)( ) — $ 4.30. Light sponge, Chocolate flavor not too strong, tastes a lot like Ferrero Rocher in Cake form. So good! Both mine and my Husbands favorite. I must see if they can make an 8″ one for his next Birthday! Coconut Mousse( ) — $ 4.30. Flavor was mild, smooth texture. Felt like it was missing something. Macaron( ) — $ 1.25(Pistachio & Raspberry). Both very good. Perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, just how a Macaron should be. Good flavors, not overpoweringly sweet like they can be. Bakery Bucket List: Cocola — Check!
