Good spot for beach bums(summer kids) and it’s a little convenience store for the Esplanade neighborhood. Such a well-stocked little market and prices are actually as regular as any 7 – 11. We came here to pick up a bottle of Merlot. The Asian guy was friendly. Cash only.

HUGE liquor selection. On of the largest liquor stores I’ve seen in the area. They have a deli it always smells so good but I haven’t had any of their food. The staff is super friendly. Lots of wine and beer. Some miscellaneous beach accessories. I also had got some winning scratchers here :)

I live in the apartments right behind here, and it’s a lifesaver. Out of cigarettes? Need late night snacks? Restock on charcoal/booze? Just head downstairs. The best part is that he also sells sticky bumps and sex wax, so we can get our boards ready in our yard before heading down to surf the avenues. Mr. BJ’s saves us a ton of time.

This owner is very friendly and takes an interest in the neighborhood. He is honest and a pleasure to do business with on a daily basis. He is the kind of guy that will let you run in right at closing to get that four-pack of Guiness!

I feel honored to be the FIRST to review this place. I lived right across the street from this liquor store for almost ten years. Now that i am reviewing it, it makes me wonder just how much i spent there over the years out of shear convenience. Yes it is your standard liquor store on the beach BUT what makes it shine is the owner, Eddie. I am not sure that is his real name(quite positive actually) but man he makes me smile each and every time i go to get booze. Almost instinctively he can tell if i have already been over served and making my way back for round two because he would tuck snacks in my bag nestled with my bottle of JD. Oh Eddie how i miss my Knob Hill days. I moved not a mile away and still go there just cause it feels like im cheating on him when i pay for a bottle anywhere else. Go say hi to EDDIE for me!

Little corner shop that offers stuff you can eat, drink, or use when you’re in a hurry or too lazy to go to a real grocery store. The owner is nice. He must be bored sometimes, I saw him once swinging his golf club in front of the store. Hehe! Prices are fairly reasonable. It’s located on the corner of Ave A and Catalina, one block from the beach. It gets an extra star because I can walk there!
