Christal has been my hairstylist for over 20 years. She is talented, helps me with my requests. She is remarkably accommodating. She is a fabulous colorist as well. Everyone to whom I have recommended her, has been thrilled with Christal.

Johnny Owens is the greatest hair stylist. He’s extremely talented and uses great products. He’s the reason why my hair is super healthy and shiny. I highly recommend him for anyone that wants gorgeous hair.

hey everybody, its johnny at the michael trujillo salon… i know i have a bad review from a very bitter lady named wendy… ive waited all of this time to write a rebuttal… first off, i did miss my appointment with her. i was out with a migrane… it would of been my second appointment with her… the first, was enough… this lady wendy was one of the most negative, miserable clients in the history of my career… by the time i was done being overly nice to this sad woman i had a stomach ache… the only reason i rebooked her is because she was an aquaintance with some awesome clients… after i missed our appointment i did not call her to explain because of the scene she caused in the salon… she was loud, rude, and it took a week for her to pay the person who did her in my absence… and they were a wreck after dealing with her cheap ass… cheap…cheap… cheap… this woman is a business owner and im sure she has made a mistake a time or two… you dont mess with a persons livelyhood… please remember that we work really hard to try and please a society that always tries to look for any little fault… my co-​workers are not only incredible artists, they are hard workers who who stand for hours, work long days, and we genuinely care about our patrons… they are my family… they are my friends… i appreciate each and every client that has ever sat in my chair… some good. some bad… thank you… johnny owens

Failed attempt after failed attempt to find a salon to take walk-​ins for a cut and trim last week, I’m so glad I stumbled upon Michael Trujillo Salon. Michael was the first to greet me with a smile upon entering the salon (most other salons didn’t acknowledge my existence or brushed me off without a second thought). After confirming that they do walk-​ins he set me up with a stylist…
AMANDA needs more love on here! She is the whole reason I am writing this 5-​star review (which I rarely ever take the time to write in the first place). She is the first stylist I’ve ventured to trust with my hair after having gone to the same stylist for over a decade in Hawaii. I’m glad I sat in her chair last week.
On my first visit, she cut my bangs and was mindful of trimming the right length off my ends, just the way I wanted them. And just like that, I scheduled for the following week to have my hair highlighted by her. Something came up and Amanda couldn’t keep the appointment, but she was very good about contacting me to reschedule for the first slot the next morning, while also being very apologetic. (I was completely fine with this because my schedule was flexible.)
My second visit, I took the plunge and had my hair colored by my new stylist Amanda. She matched my previous color PERFECTLY and made my highlights look very natural. She’s also really easy to talk to, which isn’t always the case with new stylists. I very much enjoyed my first two experiences at Michael Trujillo because of Amanda. Keep it up girl! I’ll be back while I’m living here and even when I’m visiting the area once I’ve moved.

Christal is THE BEST! Christal is the only person in CA I would trust with my hair. During my teenage years she fixed countless hair experimentations, box-​color gone wrong, and «self stylings» !! When I grew out of those fazes she always knew how to perfectly cut and color my wavy crazy hair so that it would lie flat and sleek. Perfect cut EVERY time. She still does my Moms hair every month, and my Mom always comes out looking much happier (and blonder, of course).
Also, Christal has a very sweet disposition and is a treat to be around… she has a very gentle way with your hair and will never take off more than you like. Honestly my favorite stylist of all time. Highly recommended.

The best thing about Amy, besides the fact that she makes your hair look wonderful? She is super sweet and caring. She is creative and skilled, yes, but also she wants you to be happy with the results and she is patient and committed to making you look the way you want to look!

She was at Salon Cuca, before making the move to Redondo Beach and I am so happy to have found her again. I wanted to go blonde, the salon I previously went to said it couldn’t be done without ruining my hair and looking unnatural (I have course, thick, ethnically mixed hair). Amy managed to get me out the door with beautiful, soft, blonde mermaid waves. I never thought my hair could look so good. She really does care about her clients. Thank you, Amy!

Lauren did a great job. I just gave her some general likes and she cut me a new and better style.

I have had my hair colored many times, at many places. But when I found Dave a couple of years ago at Michael Trujillos salon, I decided to look no further! Ive found the best colorist Ive ever had! I get compliments regularly! Im so happy with my hair every single time I have it done. Which is a lot! Thank you Dave for doing such a great job on my hair!!!

Johnny Owens is my image consultant and he is fabulous. My wife Nancy and I are long time clients (over 10 years) and MR Owens never disappoints!

Been going here for awhile and I see Kim Brookhart. She’s awesome — an animal lover and completely adorable. She’s very talented with color.
My hair has been going silver for years, so good coloring is important.
I also like fun hair styles, and she came up a super fun style where I could have a cool color but change my part to the other side in the event I need to mask it (for work purposes).
Check out the pics to see my hair. The salon is never too crowded, doesn’t blare obnoxious music, has lots of trashy magazines to read while your hair sets, and you can have food delivered to the salon if you get hungry.
FYI — lots of street parking but it’s metered — beware the street ticket and watch the meter!
